Abstract: A brake system having a master brake cylinder with at least one brake chamber, for at least one brake circuit, and a brake booster. The brake booster communicates via a servo pressure line with a reservoir or a pump for supplying pressure fluid, and a pressure reduction valve is incorporated into the servo pressure line. This pressure reduction valve has a connection on the other end, via a pressure line, to at least the one brake circuit. The pressure reduction valve can assume three switching positions. In a first position at normal brake pressure, the servo pressure line is open between the brake booster and the reservoir and/or pump. If a predetermined pressure is exceeded, the servo pressure line is closed, in a second position. If a further threshold pressure value is also exceeded, then the servo pressure line is connected to a return line, so that the brake booster can be bled.
Abstract: A valve apparatus comprising a valve housing defining a valve bore and a valve chamber through which an inflow pipe and an outflow pipe communicate at right angles with each other. A valve stem is disposed in the valve chamber to be axially reciprocable. The valve stem carries an elastic packing fitted on a head portion of the valve stem, the elastic packing being movable into and out of pressure contact with a valve seat defined at a connection between the valve bore and the valve chamber. A support plate is mounted at an inlet of the valve bore, which support plate defines flow-through openings and a non-circular support bore. The valve stem includes a forward portion having a sectional shape fitting with the non-circular support bore and extending into the non-circular support bore.
Abstract: An apparatus for connecting stacked thin plates 4, 5 (in particular sheet-metal plates) or plate sections, according to which stacked flat parts 10, 11 of both plates are first deep drawn together with one another, after which the bottom area of the deep-drawn flat parts is swaged wider, and wherein the radial expansion of the bottom area of these deep-drawn flat parts is limited, as a result of which a plastic deformation of the material of the plate takes place, particularly in the peripheral area, so that a connection point is created. By means of a crimp 17 present in the peripheral area of the bottom 16 of the blind opening 3 of the die 2, the swaged material flows into itself at the points that are to be connected, and hence the clinching strength, is improved.

For lateral guidance of the armature, an outer guide face is provided, which can axially slide on an inner guide face; the guide faces are located inside the armature. One of the guide faces is embodied on a guide device which is secured on the core and protrudes partway into the armature. The inner guide face has the shape of a sphere or a partial sphere; the outer guide face is cylindrical.
Abstract: The proposed vehicle brake system has a hydraulic brake booster, a master brake cylinder, wheel brakes and a pressure source for operating the brake booster. The vehicle brake system also has an anti-skid device, which comprises an auxiliary cylinder with an auxiliary piston and valve assemblies. In the anti-skid situation, the auxiliary piston is acted upon, controlled by one of the valve assemblies, and it acts counter to the brake booster and thereby lowers the pressure in the master brake cylinder. By stopping the valve assembly that is associated with a wheel threatening to skid, the brake pressure in the associated wheel brake drops. Valve assemblies are also further developed such that by including the valve assembly, drive slip at driven wheels can be limited by means of pressure from the pressure source.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for fastening thin plates (4, 5) overlying one another, via a fastening element formed from the material, which element is obtained by partial stamping separation and/or deforming of plate areas (10, 11) out of the plate plane via a male die (1, 21, 26) and a female die (2, 3, 23 and 31, 32) with subsequent compressing of the plate areas, wherein the plate areas (10, 11) that as the fastening element grip the stamping or deforming hole from behind are leveled into the plate plane, so that after the machining, on the outer surface of the plates that have been fastened together, no nubs remain that are noticeable from the outside.
Abstract: A fuel injection pump, preferably for internal combustion engines operating by the Otto method, having a pump work piston driven to reciprocate and rotate simultaneously and defining two mutually independent pump work chambers, is proposed. The first pump work chamber pumps fuel into the combustion chamber of the engine that is in a state immediately prior to ignition, while the second pump work chamber pumps fuel into the combustion chamber operating offset from the other by 360.degree. of crakshaft angle. To this end, two distributor openings are disposed in the jacket face of the pump work piston, offset by 180.degree. from one another and each communicating with a different one of the pump work chambers.

Abstract: In valves having flat armatures, in order to attain the shortest possible switching times, the goal is to to reduce the mass of the armature and the surface area of the stops. A particularly advantageous design is obtained by embodying the flat armature in the manner of a gear wheel and providing at least three radially extending teeth, spaced uniformly apart from one another, on which the stop lobes that cooperate with a stop integral with the housing upon actuation of the valve by excitation of the magnetic coil are formed. A flat armature embodied in this way can be used in any correspondingly embodied valve.

Abstract: A camshaft for a fuel injection pump of internal combustion engines, having reinforcements formed concentrically or following parallel to the cam outline and located adjacent the cams, and/or these and the camshaft bearings having a diameter enlarged in respect to the shaft diameter.
Abstract: A wine cooling apparatus comprises a bottle holder which holds a bottle within an ice and water mixture in a container which is rotatably mounted on a turntable. When the turntable is rotated, the container rotates and fins on the inside of the container stir the mixture and cause it to swirl around the surface of the bottle thereby cooling the wine.
Abstract: A universal joint having first and second shaft members respectively including a pair of yoke portions and a ball member disposed between the first and second shaft members for movably interconnecting the same. The respective first and second shaft members are constituted by two separate half-elements together with forming the respective pair of yoke portions. Base seats respectively having a truncated cone shape are provided in mutually opposing faces of the yoke portions such that each virtual cone has a virtual vertex having an angle of substantially 90 degrees and at the same time the virtual vertexes of the cones are substantially in contact with each other, the base seats respectively defining arc faces in mutually opposing surfaces thereof. And, the arc faces respectively have a central axis in a direction transverse to the shaft members and are formed by a part of a peripheral face of a virtual cylinder having the same diameter as the ball member which is rotatably supported between these arc faces.
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable fuel injection valve which has an internal scavenging system for cleaning dirt particles from a magnetic field air gap. A portion of the fuel flowing in via an inflow line and an inflow opening reaches the vicinity of an air gap defined on one side by an armature and on the other by magnetic poles and flows through this gap, and then flows via an outflow opening to enter an outflow line that communicates with a fuel return. As a result of the described scavenging of the air gap, dirt particles are prevented from becoming firmly attached there and causing impairment of the performance of the fuel injection valve.
