Abstract: The invention relates to an excavator and conveyor for an underground jacking apparatus for pipelines having a preferably non-man-sized rated cross section, which is driven into the surrounding soil from a manhole and comprises a digging head and at least one follower, jacking the digging head, and thereafter introducing additional jacked lengths of pipe. Rotating in the end area of the digging head is a digging disc which is set into rotation by a shaft. The shaft is surrounded at a distance by a conveyor tube, the wall of which is compartmentalized with respect to its outer cylindrical jacket in the vicinity of the digging head. Conveyor means are provided in the conveyor tube for conveying the excavated material back to the manhole. Sluice means are also provided in the conveyor cross section between the shaft and the conveyor tube wall, these sluice means serving to prevent incursions of groundwater.
Abstract: A method is described for converting a sinus-shaped output signal, which in its amplitude and frequency is dependent on a variable rotational speed that is to be ascertained, of a rotational speed transducer into a low-distortion signal. To this end, a Kalman filter is used in a certain manner.
Abstract: An electronic control device is proposed for manipulated variables of an internal combustion engine having self-ignition. In this device, an injection duration signal is utilized as a load signal. While the injection onset signal can be satisfactorily detected via the opening speed, the hysteresis signal is efficaciously utilized to detect the signal for the end of injection. The proposed solution makes it possible to detect and regulate both the injection onset and the fuel quantity, using only a single transducer in the injection valve, on or in the fuel line, or on the pumping element, and this load signal is available for generalized uses in the control device. It is furthermore possible to obtain an rpm signal on the basis of the signal for injection onset and/or end, and to process it further.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing the method, for connecting stacked thin plates 4, 5 (in particular sheet-metal plates) or plate sections, according to which stacked flat parts 10, 11 of both plates are first deep drawn together with one another, after which the bottom area of the deep-drawn flat parts is swaged wider, and wherein the radial expansion of the bottom area of these deep-drawn flat parts is limited, as a result of which a plastic deformation of the material of the plate takes place, particularly in the peripheral area, so that a connection point is created. By means of a crimp 17 present in the peripheral area of the bottom 16 of the blind opening 3 of the die 2, the swaged material flows into itself at the point that is to be connected, and hence the clinching strength, is improved.
Abstract: A method for joining stacked thin plates (metal sheets in particular) or plate sections by stamping dies, and an apparatus for performing the method, in which stacked plate portions are severed by stamping them along a longitudinal portion of their peripheries and pressed them out of the plane of the plate, and in which subsequently, by means of a counterpressure die element, the plate portion nearer the plates is enlarged on the cut sides by swaging, yet without the plate portion remote from the plates being enlarged. Further, during the stamping and pressing operation the counterpressure die element, or the swaging die, remains stationary inside the bottom die 2, but subsequently, during the coining operation that generates higher pressing forces, the yields counter to an elastic supporting force, whereupon the flowing material of the plate piece nearer the plates forms flange portions which grip the plate associated with it from behind.
Abstract: A microangle drive circuit for a stepping motor and the system therefor comprising output elements pairs of which are connected to one another in series, a sense resistance connected to the output elements in series to make a motor coil control circuit for a phase or coil, a stepping motor control circuit made for n-phases, and motor coils. These circuit and system increase accuracy in rotation and stop by dividing the rotation angles of the stepping motor into microangles.
Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus for separately ignited internal combustion gas engines is proposed. The fuel injection apparatus comprises an air intake stack in which an injection valve is arranged upstream of a throttle valve. A ring slot developed approximately Venturi-shaped is formed between the casing of the injection valve and the cylindrical inner wall of the air intake stack. An air bypass line discharges into the narrowest cross-section of the ring slot developed approximately Venturi-shaped which begins upstream of the approximately Venturi-shaped ring slot. An air measuring organ with at least one temperature dependent resistance for measuring the air mass flowing through is arranged in the air bypass line.

Abstract: An adjusting apparatus for the injection onset of a fuel injection pump includes a spring-loaded adjusting piston which shifts a rotationally adjustable roller ring of a cam drive of an injection pump relatively toward an associated revolving portion in a direction of an early or late injection onset. The adjusting piston defines two control pressure chambers, both of which are acted upon by the supply pressure, of a fuel feed pump which rises as a function of rpm. One chamber can be pressure-relieved via an overpressure valve and the pressure in the other chamber is controlled via a switching valve which is controlled in accordance with temperature. In the control pressure chambers, springs are provided to act upon the adjusting piston and to counteract the pressure in the respective chamber.
Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus which the termination of the effective pump supply stroke is effected by exposing a relief conduit with the aid of a valve having for instance a control edge, whereupon a highly pressurized fuel flows out via the relief conduit and is directed into a pressure chamber defined by a rear face of a pressure valve closing member. The pressure valve closing member is located in a connection with a fuel injection line that leads from the pump work chamber to the fuel injection valve and is acted upon by a valve spring to effect closing of this injection line. The impact of fuel that reaches the pressure chamber via the releif conduit reinforces a fast closure of the pressure valve closing member at the end of injection, which leads to an abrupt termination of an injection cycle. In addition, or altenatively, the fuel injection valve closing member can also be acted upon by the impact of fuel diversion.

Abstract: A fuel injection system for internal combustion systems is proposed, which serves to inject fuel into the intake tube of the engine. The fuel injection system includes at least one fuel injection valve which is disposed in the interior of a holder and communicates with both a fuel supply line and a fuel drainage line. The inflow of fuel into the fuel injection valve takes place radially via an inflow region. An orifice body is secured in the holder, forming a reservoir preceding the inflow region. In the first few seconds after hot starting of the engine, only the fuel stored in the reservoir reaches the inflow region and hence is injected. Because readily volatile fuel components have evaporated beforehand, the fuel stored in the reservoir enables especially good fuel preparation.

Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle for internal combustion engines is proposed, which includes a valve needle stressed by a closing spring and a damping device to partially damp the opening movement of the valve needle. The damping is effected in accordance with the stroke frequency, the stroke length of the valve needle, or both, or the quantity of fuel throughput per injection cycle, and the damping effect is preferably variable automatically by shifting the time of the onset of damping relative to the onset of injection. As a result, an adaptation of the damping effect to the operating state of the engine at a particular time can be attained which substantially meets the ideal parameters for such damping.
Abstract: A pump for feed-pumps of fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines having a manually actuatable element, which operates counter to the force of a restoring spring to effect an inward stroke of a piston which includes a valve tappet thereon that pushes open a ball valve to the fuel feeding system of a feed pump. In operation, a medium is positively displaced from a work chamber into the feeding system. Upon an automatic return stroke of the piston, a medium is aspirated from the fuel feeding system of the feed pump into the work cylinder and at the end of the return stroke the ball valve closes automatically. In its position of repose, the pump does not require its piston to be locked in place, and pressure impacts of the feed pump are prevented from reaching the piston.

Abstract: In a pre-injection apparatus for Diesel engines, a pre-injection slide that generates a pronounced pressure intensification for the pre-injection in a pressure chamber closed off with respect to the high-pressure side and open toward the injection line is slidably supported in a stepped guide bore and is exposed to the injection pressure of a high-pressure pump. After the execution of a partial stroke (h.sub.v), which is responsible for the pre-injection quantity, the pre-injection pressure chamber is opened with a backwards-oriented action toward the high-pressure side and thereby is intially relieved of pressure. The ensuing movement of the pre-injection slide until the complete end of its stroke forms a predeterminable capacity that enables an injection pause. The pre-injection pressure chamber communicates with an electrically triggerable magnetic valve with the low-pressure side or the high-pressure side, so that the shutoff of the pre-injection is possible under certain operating conditions.
Abstract: A pressure regulating valve is proposed which serves to regulate a constant pressure of a medium. The pressure regulating valve includes a valve housing and a regulating piston, which is supported in a slide bore such that it is displaceable by the pressure of the medium counter to the force of a regulating spring. The regulating piston includes a valve closing element that cooperates with a valve seat and a regulating face that upon a displacement movement of the regulating piston that is longer than a predetermined displacement path (s) opens an outflow opening in the valve housing. A bypass conduit is provided in the regulating piston, beginning at one end at the regulating face and terminating at the other in a relief opening disposed in a circumferential wall of the regulating piston.
Abstract: A grass collecting container attached to a walking type grass mower and the like. The grass collecting container has a container body, a mesh member for dividing space inside the container body between a ventilating space and a mowed grass depositing section, ventilating openings defined in right and left side walls of the container body, a convex portion defined in an upper wall of the container body and a handle disposed inside the convex portion for forming a substantially same plane as an upper face of the container body. The mesh member is downwardly inclined at right and left end portions thereof and at the same time the mesh member is placed in secure contact with a face of the convex portion inwardly of the container body.
Abstract: A screw head on a container-closing machine has jaws that are pivotable on a holder to grasp a closure cap and hold the cap tightly so that the cap can be screwed onto a container. For pivoting the jaws, the jaws are connected to levers, which rest on an actuating cone that is displaceable coaxially in the holder. The actuating cone is integrally connected to a piston of a cylinder-piston unit, which is likewise disposed coaxially in the holder and the piston is operable by a controlled fuel supply.
