According to the present invention, a vertical trench (9) is formed between the electrodes (2, 3), the trench extending through the chip (1), including the lower current-distributing layer (5), for controlling the horizontal current flow in order to achieve a uniform current density over the active layer (6).

The tilt drive train includes a tilt drive shaft having an axis perpendicular to the camera platform. The pan drive train includes a pan drive shaft extending along the axis of the tilt drive shaft such that it receives the tilt drive shaft and turns independently and concentrically about the tilt drive shaft. The camera platform receives a camera such that the center of gravity of the camera is aligned with the diameter of the circular arc of the sled runners and the vertical axis of the tilt and pan drive shafts.

SOx and/or HCl components are adsorbed from the waste gas into the NOx loaded adsorption and/or absorption agent. Thereafter, the waste gas is mixed with an ammonium-containing compound and flows through an upper horizontal gas inflow and bulk material removal tray of the moving bed reactor into the upper layer of the adsorption and/or absorption agent already polluted with NOx and small quantities of SOx and/or HCl. During the throughflow of the upper layer, NOx components are adsorbed from the waste gas onto the adsorption/absorption agent.

    Abstract: There is provided a cap and socket arrangement for compact fluorescent lamps. The lamp comprises a discharge tube arrangement made of glass and having sealed ends being positioned at one end of the lamp. A continuous arc path is formed inside the discharge tube between two electrodes disposed at one end of the lamp. At least one of the sealed ends is also provided with an amalgam fill. The sealed ends of the discharge tube arrangement are received in the cap, and the cap comprises contact members and a protruding fitting member for being received in the socket. The socket has a hollow member for receiving the fitting member of the cap, and contact elements for receiving the contact members of the cap. The fitting member and the socket are provided with matching positioning elements for determining the position of the cap with respect to the socket and thereby determining the spatial position of the electrode with respect to the amalgam.

The image is processed to generate an enhanced image. Where the image is assigned to the first enhancement class, this includes applying a first enhancement chain, which may include applying a polarizing filter. Where the image is assigned to the second enhancement class, the processing includes applying a second enhancement chain, which may include detecting regions corresponding to skin in the image and selectively applying local contrast enhancement to those regions corresponding to skin.

The roller is beneath the tape guide portion and adjacent the cutter.
