Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a method is employed to read an overprinted barcode. An RGB pixel map is obtained from an overprinted color barcode that contains a plurality of disparate colors. A pixel map is allocated for each of the colors detected and each pixel is classified in the one or more pixel maps according to color. One or more barcodes are extracted from the overprinted barcode that correlates to each color detected. Each of the extracted barcodes are then filtered, decoded and read.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for system for processing calls to a SIP or VoIP device using the called party's Email address in which a call redirect server component is provisioned with the called party's Email address and VoIP or SIP device address, and a DNS system is updated with the called party's Email address and an address of the call redirect server. VoIP calls or other SIP sessions directed to the called party's Email address are resolved by the DNS system to the address of the redirect server, which in turn redirects the calls to the called party's VoIP or SIP device. The subscriber called party may provision the call redirect server with updated Email address or VoIP or SIP device address information to allow the subscribed to change VoIP phone service providers while callers only need to remember the subscriber's Email address.

Abstract: A calibrated categorizer comprises: a multi-class categorizer configured to output class probabilities for an input object corresponding to a set of classes; a class probabilities rescaler configured to rescale class probabilities to generate rescaled class probabilities; and a resealing model learner configured to learn calibration parameters for the class probabilities rescaler based on (i) class probabilities output by the multi-class categorizer for a calibration set of class-labeled objects, (ii) confidence measures output by the multi-class categorizer for the calibration set of class-labeled objects, and (iii) class labels of the calibration set of class-labeled objects, the class probabilities rescaler calibrated by the learned calibration parameters defining a calibrated class probabilities rescaler.

Abstract: A diagnostic system made part of or for use with a document handling device in which a customer is guided toward performance of at least one comparison means in a diagnostic routine analysis. The comparison means is selected from a group comprising (1) a first comparison comparing a fused print media and an unfused print media for presence of a defect, (2) a second comparison comparing an output print media and at least one image on a screen for a type of defect, and (3) a third comparison comparing a low-charged print media and a no-charged print media for qualities of the defect. The customer enters a selection based on results of the first, the second, or the third comparisons. The diagnostic system can identify a part causing a defect in the print media based on results of the comparisons.

Abstract: A method and system is provided to deter purchases of recalled products. An inventory control system is provided with an identification code corresponding to a recalled product. The identification code of the recalled product is identified when it is scanned or otherwise determined to be part of a sale at a retail establishment and/or an e-commerce establishment. The purchase of the recalled product corresponding to the identification code identified is automatically denied.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for transmitting of data frames from user equipment to a base station in a wireless telecommunication network. The method comprises an error control step adapted to retransmit the data frame from the user equipment to the base station, if the received data frame contains errors or if no acknowledge message is received by the user equipment within a predetermined amount of time. The method further comprises a transmission power control step adapted to control a transmission power of the data frames in such a way that the number of retransmissions corresponds to a predetermined number of target retransmission. The number of target retransmission is adapted depending on the traffic load and/or the number of users connected to the base station.

The method further includes determining if the selected spot color target is located inside, or on-boundary, or outside of the gamut classes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a class of mm and sub mm wavelength amplifiers and oscillators operating with miniature helical slow wave circuits manufactured using micro fabrication technology. The helices are supported by diamond dielectric support rods. Diamond is the best possible thermal conductor, and it can be bonded to the helix. The electron beam is transmitted, not through the center of the helix, but around the outside. In some configurations the RF power produced may be radiated directly from the slow wave circuit. The method of fabrication, which is applicable above 60 GHz, is compatible with mass production.

Information is received of geographic location of a base station. For each of a plurality of location areas, each having a location area center, a function is calculated that is dependent upon distance of the base station from location area centers. Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for performing data synchronization in a wireless access communication network. The method includes data to be synchronized coming from an access network gateway and being sent to at least two base stations, and the data being further sent from the base stations to user terminals over an air interface in downlink frames. The method also includes sending a signaling message to the at least two base stations with the signaling message having a set of parameters defining unambiguously the position and size of the data in the downlink frame and the structure of the data.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for establishing a logical flow path between a radio network controller (RNC) having multiple call processors that are operable in a distributed manner and a base station, in particular a Node B, being served by the RNC using an internet protocol (IP) transport technology. In some embodiments a method comprises configuring of IP addresses to be used by the RNC and base station, establishing paths based on communication ports in the RNC and base station, performing cell initialization and establishing common channel paths between the RNC and base station. Methods described herein include a step for Node B attachment that can be added to a Node B and RNC installation phase that is current part of 3GPP standards as part of a “plug and play” deployment method. The methods for Node B attachment to the network enable the Node B to be installed and dynamically registered with the RNC.
