Abstract: A sensing and switching device, such as an overload relay, is provided which includes a processor configured to make measurements and control operation (e.g., tripping) of the device. The processor regulates measurement of voltage and/or current, and the supply of power to power supplies. The power supplies store charge to provide operational power for the processor and that can be used for tripping and resetting contacts within the device. The processor opens a burden resistor measurement circuit when charge is being stored in the power supplies, and opens switches in the power supplies while closing the burden resistor switch to permit measurements. By alternatively switching for charging of the power supplies and making of measurements, the processor is able to reliably make measurements, control the device, and store sufficient power for operation of the device despite a demanding power budget.

An air inlet is provided on the warming blanket where the first sheet and the second sheet are not sealed. An inlet opening device is attached to the inlet opening. The inlet opening device separates the first sheet from the second sheet at the inlet opening in the absence of an opposing force. Methods of forming and using the warming blanket are also provided.
Abstract: Provided is an electromagnetic tracking system, comprising a coil arrangement comprising a first coil configured to generate a first magnetic field and a second coil configured to generate a second magnetic field and a drive unit configured to provide a first drive current to the first coil and to provide a second drive current to the second coil, wherein the first drive current and the second drive current are at about the same frequency, wherein the frequency is below 60 Hz, and wherein the first electromagnetic field and the second magnetic field are generated out of phase.
Abstract: System and method for parameterizing one or more steady-state models each having a plurality of model parameters for mapping model input to model output through a stored representation of an in-situ hydrocarbon reservoir. For each model, training data representing operation of the reservoir is provided including input values and target output values. A next input value(s) and next target output value are received from the training data. The model is parameterized with the input value(s) and target output value, and derivative constraints imposed to constrain relationships between the input value(s) and a resulting model output value, using an optimizer to perform constrained optimization on the parameters to satisfy an objective function subject to the derivative constraints. The receiving and parameterizing are performed iteratively, generating a parameterized model.
Abstract: Forehead oximetry sensor devices and methods for determining physiological parameters using forehead oximetry sensors. One method includes placing an oximetry sensor on the forehead of a patient, such that the sensor is placed on the lower forehead region, above the eyebrow with the sensor optics placed lateral of the iris and proximal the temple; and operating the pulse oximeter to obtain the physiological parameter. In one aspect, the method also includes providing and placing a headband over the oximetry sensor, or alternately, the sensor is a headband-integrated sensor. The headband has an elastic segment sized to fit around the patient's head. The headband also includes a non-elastic segment that is smaller than and attached with the elastic segment. The non-elastic segment is sized to span a portion of the elastic segment when the elastic segment is stretched. In addition, the non-elastic segment is larger than the portion of the elastic segment it spans when the elastic segment is not stretched.
