Abstract: An electronic equipment has a display that can display a plurality of screens and a display controller that can switch displays of the screens. The display and the controller enable an operator to change a set value of at least one item. A setting change receiver can receive from the operator an instruction of changing a set value of each item in a currently displayed screen when the display controller allows the display portion to display one of the screens. The display controller allows a display part of the item whose set value is changed most recently in the screen whose set value is changed to be displayed transmissively on a subsequently displayed screen when the currently displayed screen is switched to the subsequently displayed screen.
Abstract: A sheet feeder includes a sheet cassette insertable into a housing in a first direction, a remaining amount detecting member including a contact piece extending in a second direction opposite to the first direction and coming into contact with an uppermost sheet, and detecting a remaining amount of sheets according to a position of the contact piece, and a switching member switching the position of the contact piece between a contact position where the contact piece enters a storage space to come into contact with the uppermost sheet and a retracted position where the contact piece is retracted from the storage space. The position is switched to the contact position when the sheet cassette is inserted into the housing in the first direction and set to a feeding position while switched to the retracted position when the sheet cassette is separated from the feeding position and withdrawn from the housing.
Abstract: A special pattern determination section determines whether a special pattern is included in a document image read by a document reading section. If the special pattern determination section determines that the special pattern is included, the breaking pattern applying section applies a breaking pattern to the document image, and the print image generating section accumulates image data of the document image applied with the breaking pattern into a memory. On the other hand, if it is determined that the special pattern is not included, the print image generating section accumulates the image data of the document image directly into the memory. Then, if it is set by a user so as not to print the breaking pattern, the controller deletes image data of the document image accumulated in the memory and applied with the breaking pattern.
Abstract: A passenger motor vehicle (1) has a passenger compartment (3) and a fuel tank module (4) is in the passenger compartment (3). The module (4) has first and second chambers (19, 20). The first chamber (19) holds a tank bladder and a catch tank (32) is arranged within the tank bladder. The second chamber (20) holds a fuel pump unit (33). The module (4) is sealed off from remaining areas of the passenger compartment (3), and fuel lines to the module (4) and from the module (4) to the internal combustion engine are arranged outside the passenger compartment (3). Thus, a high level of safety for the vehicle occupant is ensured despite the accommodation of the fuel module in the passenger compartment, and substantially complete emptying of the fuel in the fuel module is possible.

Abstract: A steering column arrangement includes a steering spindle, which rotates about its longitudinal axis and serves to transfer a torque, generated by a steering wheel, to a steering gear, and a blocking device, which prevents the rotational motion of the steering spindle, especially in the event of a collision. The blocking device includes a stator, which is stationary in relation to the rotational motion of the steering spindle, and against which a blocking element is mounted in a relatively moveable manner. To prevent, in a reliable manner, an undesired twisting of the steering wheel, especially in the event of a collision, the blocking element is moveable into a locked position in a radial direction toward the steering spindle.

Abstract: To reduce a load required for data transfer and data processing to improve processing speed of those. A display data memory stores as display data a configuration image simulating an overall configuration of a combination of a main body and an attachment. An image display device provided on either one of the main body and the attachment includes a display screen having a display area divided into a plurality of divisional areas for displaying the configuration image. A CPU determines displaying and non-displaying on each of the plurality of divisional areas, and controls the image display device to allow a part of the configuration image to be displayed on a divisional area which is determined to be displayed in accordance with display data, and to allow an other part of the configuration image not to be displayed to on a divisional area which is determined not to be displayed.
Abstract: A PWM control method increases/decreases a duty ratio of a PWM signal with a predetermined resolution so to control the duty ratio of the PWM signal in the case of a PWM control. The resolution of the duty ratio of the PWM signal is increased to make a high period in the duty ratio of the PWM signal longer than a rise time of the PWM signal if the high period is shorter than the rise time. The resolution of the duty ratio of the PWM signal is increased to make a low period in the duty ratio of the PWM signal longer than a fall time of the PWM signal if the low period is shorter than the fall time.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided with an image reading unit for reading the image information of a document and an image forming unit for performing a specified image forming process based on this image information. Abstract: A multi-functional peripheral allows a user to select a productivity priority mode or an image quality priority mode. In the productivity priority mode, a scanner performs a reading operation without moving first and second carriages in a sub-scanning direction, a foreign object image removing processing is executed in accordance with image data obtained by the reading operation, and image forming is performed in accordance with the image data applied with image processing. In the image quality priority mode, the first and second carriages are moved from a reading position P to a reading position P? at which the foreign object does not adhere to a reading slot, the scanner performs the reading operation, and an image forming is performed in accordance with image data applied with image processing not including the foreign object image removing processing.
Abstract: The invention relates to a waste gas system for bioreactors having a hydrophobic sterile filter, arranged at the end, and a heat exchanger which protects the sterile filter against blocking by liquid media. The gas outflow duct for discharging waste gas from a bioreactor vessel is divided in a cooling zone of the heat exchanger into a multiplicity of subducts and is extended in a heating zone of the heat exchanger to a calming zone. Due to the multiplicity of subducts, a considerably larger surface area for the removal of heat from the waste gas is available, with the result that in the case of laminar flow of the waste gas through the subducts a high effectiveness of the separation of liquids from the waste gas can be achieved.

Abstract: An intelligent electronic device (IED), e.g., an electrical power meter, having circuitry for reducing the burden placed on at least one current sensor of the device resulting in a highly accurate measurement by the at least one current sensor is provided. The circuitry of the present disclosure reduces the burden on the current sensor while providing amplification, e.g., gain control, to the input signal. The circuitry includes at least one current sensor outputting a signal to an operational amplifier (op amp) having a controlled variable feedback resistance. By employing an operational amplifier in the circuitry, the output of the current sensor will be at a near zero volts condition at all times thus reducing the burden on the current sensor.
