Abstract: A child's car seat with a shield. A tray, preferably removable, is embedded in the shield. An elongated cover is wrapped around the shield for hiding the tray. The cover has releasable securing mechanisms for mated engagement with securing mechanisms on the shield for retaining the cover in wrapped around condition and for removing it entirely. In a preferred form, the tray is divided into sections with at least one of the sections having a circular cross-section and the cover has an aperture in registry with the section having a circular cross-section when the cover is wrapped around the shield and secured with the mating securing mechanisms.
Abstract: A dump body for mounting on a truck or trailer having a floor with a top surface and an underneath surface and a plurality of spaced apart longitudinal channels on the top surface with complementary ridges on the underneath surface extending to the rear edge of the floor. The floor being supported proximate its rear edge by an apron having a top surface that follows the contours of the underneath surface of the floor at its rear edge.
Abstract: A hand held geometric toy with a plurality of polygonal sections strung together with elastic loops. The toy has at least one, and preferably at least three, sets of parallel fold axes and is held in folded condition magnetically.
Abstract: Siphon freeze drain valve for an underground water sprinkling system including a line operating under water pressure, the drain valve being a U-shaped tube, one end of which is passed through a hole in the top of the line, the other end of which is outside the line at a lower level than the first end. A clamp and a seal holds the tube in the line against the force of the water in the line and prevents leaking around the tube. A check valve is in the end of the tube outside the line, the check valve selectively opened and closed to control flow through the tube and for establishing a siphon for draining the line.
Abstract: An active control containment system for defending an operator against biohazardous materials for use in medical, forensic and embalming procedures. The containment system has the advantage of being structurally simple, light weight and easily cleaned and maintained. The containment system includes a vaulted cover which together with an autopsy table forms a compartment within which the biohazardous material is contained. The autopsy table has a plurality of apertures through which a down-draft keeps the compartment at negative pressure as compared to the treatment room. An air intake is provided in the cover and an opening through which the operator can access the biohazardous material through the cover. Access doors are provided along the bottom of the cover for manipulation or transfer of materials.
Abstract: A firearm rest having a platform with mounting blocks at opposite ends and a shaft journaled in the mounting blocks and turned with an operator. A pair of links are hinged together in the middle forming a bed for resting the forward end of a gun stock. One of the ends of the joined links is hinged to one of the mounting blocks while the other end is hinged to a traveling nut that is threaded on the shaft and quickly disengagable therefrom. The height of the bed can be quickly raised or lowered by disengaging the nut from the shaft, manually moving the nut along the shaft thereby decreasing or increasing the distance between the ends of the joined links and changing the elevation of the bed. Fine adjustments can be made by rotating the operator when the nut is engaged with the shaft.
Abstract: A fender liner for a dual wheel fender formed of epoxy-fiberglass and having a substantially flat top and an inboard side for attaching to a vehicle with bolts along the top of the fender on the inboard side. The fender liner is formed as an elongated flat panel made of sheet material with an inboard side flange. The flat panel runs substantially the length and breadth of the flat top on the inside of the fender for guarding the underside of the flat top against damage by rocks and other objects which may be hurled up against it. The fender liner is attached to the fender along the inboard side flange by the bolts attaching the fender to the vehicle along the top of the fender.
Abstract: A motivational task tracking device that organizes chores, or other activities or things, into categories and provides an incentive system for their performance. The device has a plurality of cards representing activities or things in pictures and text for attachment to a sheet. The sheet has a chart with ranks and files, separated by white space to improve readability. The ranks are divided into different categories and the files represent time units over which performance is being tracked. Completion of the chores or other activities or things in the ranks is indicated by markings on the files.
Abstract: A sanitary holder for storing toothbrushes in a tray with a plurality of separate receptacles for holding a liquid antiseptic into which a bristle end of a toothbrush is immersed. The tray is stored in a container with a cap and is slid in and out of the container with a handle attached to the tray.
Abstract: A paper slitting device having first and second pivotally mounted platens with an integral biasing spring between them. The spring is formed by a resilient member extending from the first platen toward the second platen. The resilient member has a free end that is received in slots provided in the second platen and forms a bearing for the first platen and bending about an axis when a force is applied to one of the platens sufficient to move the one platen towards the other platen. The resilient member then returning the one platen to an at rest position when the force is removed.
Abstract: A sports goal having a pair of U-shaped, open ended frames pivoted together at their open ends and, in erect position, connected in the middle by a dogleg brace. A net is attached to the first and second frames and draped over the brace forming the goal. The brace is easily removable from between the frames for storage and fits inside the frames cradled in the net when the frames are pivoted substantially parallel to each other.
