Abstract: An opening (3) in a reflector (2) of a vehicle headlight serves to receive a lamp (1). The lamp can be seated against a surface with three support points (4) facing a direction opposite to a mounting direction. The support points are at apexes of a triangle (30) surrounding a lamp axis (7). One of these support points corresponds to a positioning tab (8) extending radially outwardly from a lamp socket (5) which can be seated in a recess (9). A spring holding element (10) applies a force on the socket of the lamp between the positioning tab and the lamp axis in a mounting direction of the lamp as well as toward a fixing element (11).
Abstract: A light system for an interior space of a motor vehicle comprises a plurality of function groups, each comprising a plurality of light-creation units (LE). Each light creation unit has an electrically activated and deactivated light source (LQ) and a reflector (R) for concentrating light from the light source. At least one light conductor (LL) is associated with each light creation unit with its first end being coupled to the light creation unit for transmitting concentrated light, the light conductor including a plurality of flexible individual light conductors (EL), and there being a light emitting unit (E) at a second end of the light conductor for illuminating a surface. The light sources of a single function group are simultaneously activated and deactivated. The light-creation units are spatially distributed in the motor vehicle so as to reduce the lengths of the light conductors.

Abstract: In a two-channel magnetic metal detector having first and second mutually inductively coupled detection coils connected to first and second detection channels, respectively, the inductance of the coils is tested by applying a square wave test signal to the first detection coil and determining if the resulting output signal from the second detection channel has a magnitude falling within a range of magnitudes defined by two threshold values stored in a non-volatile memory. A microcomputer applies digital signals to a digital to analog converter to generate the square wave. The output signal from the second detection channel is repetitively sampled and digitized and the digital values are transferred to the microcomputer which includes means for comparing the digital values with the threshold values.

The protective foil is inverted (dome interiors open downwardly) so that the keys are respectively arranged relative to the vaults (8) and replaceable caps (9) are snapped onto the vaults and keys.
Abstract: The sporting and exercising device comprises an upper foot-receiving portion, and a lower spring portion. The spring portion comprises an upper spring layer arched upwardly, a lower spring layer arched downwardly, and an intermediate elastic plastic strap. A first end of the plastic strap is connected to both a first end of the upper spring layer and a first end of the lower spring layer, and a second end of the plastic strap is connected to both a second end of the upper spring layer and a second end of the lower spring layer. First and second resilient shock absorbing bodies are mounted on the top face of the plastic strap proximate the first and second ends thereof, respectively. Similarly, third and fourth resilient shock absorbing bodies are mounted on the bottom face of the plastic strap proximate the first and second ends thereof, respectively. The resilient shock absorbing bodies prevent the spring portion to collapse after a certain deformation by compression has been reached.
Abstract: A rolling mill includes a roll barrel having a straight region disposed at the middle thereof, sub-crown control regions disposed at both ends thereof, and main-crown control regions disposed between the straight region and the sub-crown control regions. The roll barrel has an outer surface having a bus bar which is a straight line inclined to a longitudinal axis of the roll barrel in the straight region, steep convex and concave curved shapes in the main-crown control regions, and gentle convex and concave curved shapes in the sub-crown control regions. The roll barrel has both ends having a diameter approximately equal to each other. The roll provides a large degree of freedom in designing curves to be applied to an outer surface of a roll barrel with the result that a larger crown control can be performed, and has a small number of factors for a vibration of a plate.

The protective cover is formed as one piece with an inner partition to be attached thereto by a dual living hinge (28a and b). The lid is rectangular in shape and includes an elongated magnifying lens (20) which has protrusions extending into blind holes (62) of the inner partition. The magnifying lens extends across the transparent portion of the outer partition. When the protective cover is in a closed position it impinges on the magnifying lens. A peel-off color analysis chart (22) is mounted on an inside surface of the protective cover.
Abstract: A conductive ink for making a conductive wiring comprises first and second metal grains dispersed in an organic material. The second metal grains are interposed between the first metal grains and they have a melting temperature that lies between the melting temperature of the first metal grains and the setting temperature of the organic material.

Abstract: In a round baler having a microprocessor based controller for controlling the pattern in which twine is wrapped around a bale, factory installed programs, selectable by an operator through actuation of control keys, provide a plurality of twine wrap patterns each of which includes two wraps at each end of the bale. An operator's panel is provided with keys which, when actuated, modify the number of end wraps. The factory installed programs are not otherwise modified. When a factory installed program is selected, the number of end wraps placed on each end of the bale is determined by the modified number of end wraps.

The flange has a tapered outer/upper edge (112).
Abstract: A metal detector comprises a detection coil disposed in a magnetic field, the ends of the coil being connected through a balanced resistor network to the inputs of a differential amplifier. A test signal is injected into the metal detector at a point such that the coil is effectively in series with one branch of the balanced resistor network. The injected signal produces a potential difference at the inputs of the differential amplifier, the magnitude of the potential difference being dependent on the resistance of the detection coil. The test signal is generated by a circuit including a microcomputer which successively feeds digital values corresponding to the sine function to a digital-to-analog converter, so that the converter generates the test signal in the form of a sine wave. The output signal from the differential amplifier is applied to an analog-to-digital converter.
