Such lathe comprises: a spindle carrier (2) adapted to be displaced in rotation and translation and on which spindles (3) intended for holding bars (M) are assembled together, and bar (M) shaping means including tool bearing carriages (14) which are arranged and adapted in order to receive machining tools (12) and which are directed by control cams (16, 18) supported and driven in rotation, such lathe being characterized in that the shaping means are mounted around a central body (50) which assures the interior guidance of the spindle carrier (2) while the shaping means and the spindles (3) assembled on the spindle carrier (2) are actuated from the exterior by peripheral driving means.
Abstract: A method of preparing and cleaning a floating filter medium for a biological cleaning apparatus includes the steps of forming a filter layer by placing in a treating tank a granular floating filter medium having a specific gravity of about 0.3 or less and a particle size of 1 to 15 mm. Wastewater enters the tank and flows through the filter layer. Excess sludge is separated and removed from the filter medium by discharging an amount of water from the treating tank, from below the filtered layer, equivalent to 0.5 to 1.5 times the filling amount of the filter medium in a time period of between 5 to 90 seconds.
Abstract: In an apparatus for aspirating gases, in particular from topsoil, an effective explosion protection can be attained by having a negative-pressure fan or negative-pressure generator formed as a water-ring pump.
Abstract: A light is illuminated, for example, from the side of a flange of a syringe. An imaging processing is carried out with an image signal issued by imaging a reflected light from the edge of flange by means of a TV camera or CCD camera located, for example, in an upward slant direction. Detecting an irregular state of the image signal caused by the reflected light, a crack or chip at the flange are recognized. The irregular state of the image signal, which is obtained by detecting parts where the light is not reflected, brings the method of being easy to detect the crack or chip at the flange.
Abstract: A table is provided to assist in the manufacture of building structures such as walls or the like where the building structure has a plurality of metallic studs extending between top and bottom metallic channel shaped framing members. The table includes a grasping device to move the building structure back and forth along a support surface of the table. A computer operated controller controls a motor to locate the top and bottom framing members adjacent assembly stations. The assembly stations permanently attach a stud to each of the top and bottom framing members.
Abstract: A separating apparatus for separating packaged products in a packaging apparatus, wherein, in operation, a continuously fed strip of packaging material of synthetic material is folded around a series of products to form a sleeve, wherein in the product conveying direction the folded-over sides are interconnected by means of longitudinal connection means to form a longitudinal connection, wherein, in the transverse direction between two separate products (2, 2'), the upper and lower sides of the sleeve are interconnected by means of cross connection means to form a cross connection, whereupon the thus packaged products are separated over a separating line extending at the location of the cross connection.
Abstract: While a sealed vessel such as a vial having an inside plug such as a rubber stopper is conveyed, the sealed vessel is slanted by a slanting device until liquid medicine in the sealed vessel touches the inside plug. The sealed vessel is moved and simultaneously rotated by a rotating device while the vial is slanted. The liquid medicine in the sealed vessel is heated at a heating portion by heat energy such as infrared, fuel gas and microwave, so that the heated liquid medicine causes heat sterilization of the whole sealed vessel including the inside plug. Sterilization can be completely carried out by providing a heat-retaining portion, cooling portion and drying portion next to the heating portion. An infrared radiation thermometer is provided at the end of the heating portion to measure the temperature of the liquid medicine, so that the temperature of the liquid medicine in each sealed vessel may be controlled to a desired temperature.
Abstract: In an inner shoe (10) for ski-boots comprising a sole (18) and an upper (16) which includes a padding (24) enclosed in an inner (26) and outer (28) lining, the shoe (10) is of the rear-entry type whereby it has a rear opening (20) extending from the top end (22) of the upper (16) up to the sole area and the shoe has not the usual front opening which can be covered by a tongue.

Abstract: A three way switching controller (1) for handling high purity gas, and the like, used for a semiconductor manufacturing plant, and the like, prevents lines on switching sides thereof from communicating with each other at time of switching. The three way switching controller includes a body (2), first and second valves (3 and 4), a cylinder (5), and a linking mechanism (6), with the linking mechanism including a disengagement device (7). The cylinder, operating through the linking mechanism, alternately opens and closes normally-closed valves. The disengagement device prevents a driving force of the cylinder from being applied at once to the valves upon initiation of operation of the cylinder, thereby allowing both of the valves to be in a free state (closed state).
