  • Patent number: 6397181
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, a computer program product and a system for voice annotating and retrieving digital media content are disclosed. An annotation module (420) post annotates digital media data (410), including audio, image and/or video data, with speech. A word lattice (222) can be created from speech annotation (210) dependent upon acoustic and/or linguistic knowledge. An indexing module (430) then indexes the speech-annotated data (422). The word lattice (222) is reverse indexed (230), and content addressing (240) is applied to produce the indexed data (432, 242). A speech query (474) can be generated as input to a retrieval module (480) for retrieving a segment of the indexed digital media data (432). The speech query (474, 310) is converted into a word lattice (322), and a shortlist (344) is produced from it (322) by confidence filtering (330). The shortlist (344) is input to a lattice search engine (350) to search the indexed content (342) to obtain the search result (352).

  • Patent number: 6377910
Abstract: An image-sensor emulating device establishing a link with a host system by using peripheral interface bus. The image-sensor emulating device emulates the functions of image-sensors by programmably generating the relevant image-sensor and timing signals. Alternatively, the timing signals can also be generated from the timing signals outputted by an outside image-sensor. Therefore, the emulating device can generate predetermined image-sensor signals and timing signals such that the debugging process is simplified and the developing efficiency is improved. Moreover, the emulating device according to the present invention can also generate a timing signal serving as a reference timing signal for emulating an image-sensor. The reference timing signal can be used to compare with the actual timing signals of an image-sensor.

  • Patent number: 6356797
Abstract: A method for automatic scheduling of a production plan. The automatic scheduling system arranges different kinds of production plans and defines a first priority lot, a second priority lot and a normal lot in testing factories. The testing processes of the first priority lot is to decide the testing machine first, then exchanged with a running lot on this testing machine when a test piece is completed. For the second priority lot, after decides the testing machine, the second priority lot is exchanged with a running lot on the testing machine when the running lot is completed. For the normal lot, the procedure is to check if the testing machine is available and need to be setup, then use a setup reduce method to reduce the setup frequency if more than one machine is available and needs to be setup. The key to reduce setup method selects the testing machine which has minimum impact for the subsequent testing lot to get efficient use of the testing machine.
