  • Patent number: 6738997
Abstract: Innovative mechanism for a divan bed enabling the adjustment in three positions, said “divan”, “relax” and “bed”, comprising padding elements supported by two frames; said frames can reciprocally move by means of two angle-bars, concurrent in a point; one of said angle-bars supports the frame forming the seat of the divan bed and the second one supports the frame forming the back of the divan bed; moreover comprising an articulated quadrilateral which supports said second angle-bar. The mechanism is characterised in that the angle-bars constitute a release mechanism which enables the three positions, stable respect to the divan bed base, while the quadrilater stiffly moves the angle-bars in other three positions. Therefore, the main feature of the mechanism is the univocal positioning between the angle-bars and the quadrilateral elements, without any other additional element as, for example, stop elements like ratchet or pawl.

  • Patent number: 6736624
Abstract: The invention relates to a spinning device in which liquid polymer is guided through a polymer line with a first heating jacket to a spinning pump with a second heating jacket. From said spinning pump, the polymer is transported through several lines to spinning packets and extruded through spinnerts to form filaments. The lines that are connected downstream of the spinning pump, the spinning packets and the spinnerets are located in at least one spinning housing through which heating fluid flows. There is a distance of 5 mm between the spinning housing through which the heating fluid flows and the first and second heating jackets and the spinning pump, to obtain thermal decoupling. According to a method for heating the spinning device, vaporous heating fluid is guided out of a first reservoir into the spinning housing, and heating fluid is guided out of a second reservoir into the first and/or second heating jacket.

  • Patent number: 6730219
Abstract: The filter has a framework with an inlet end, a solids outlet end and an outlet for a separated product between the ends. A fabric filter extends in the framework from end to end and is supported by movable rings, resilient members and dampers enabling axial extension and contraction of the filter. The resilient members, rings and dampers form a unit removable from the framework. A propeller turbine extends through the filter and is supported at opposite ends, and a drive is coupled with the turbine at the one end of the framework. A quick assembly/disassembly mechanism with a rail extends along the framework and is engageable with its cap for removing same and affording access to the unit enabling withdrawal of the unit from said framework and reinsertion of a filter unit composed of a filter and respective movable rings, resilient members and dampers.

  • Patent number: 6729349
Abstract: A faucet has according to the invention a support body centered on an upright axis and adapted to be fixed to a horizontal support surface. The body is formed with a radially outwardly open outer groove having upper and lower axially spaced and confronting flanks and a radially outwardly directed floor. A sleeve fitted over and surrounding the body has a radially inwardly directed inner surface level with the outer groove and an axially downwardly directed shoulder generally level with the upper flank. A hard split bearing ring set in the outer groove has an outer face bearing on the inner sleeve surface, an upper face on which the shoulder rests, a lower face bearing on the lower flank, and an inner face radially confronting the floor. A biasing element braced radially between the bearing ring and the body presses the outer surface of the bearing ring against the inner surface of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 6730341
Abstract: The water holding capacity of meat is improved by agitating the meat at an alleged temperature with the processing solution and by maintaining the agitation temperature with precision. A preferred temperature is in the range of 45° to 60° F. and the agitation is preferably a massaging action after injection of the liquid into the meat. The heating or agitation at the elevated temperature can be carried out in one vessel while the subsequent cooling is carried out in at least one second vessel.

  • Patent number: 6730365
Abstract: Method of thin film deposition especially in reactive conditions. Optical coatings with negligible optical absorption, of high quality and low cost even on unheated substrates are deposited using an RF/pulsed DC plasma RF/pulsed DC bias generates a plasma in front of the substrate. This plasma allows obtaining the right stoichiometry of the deposited film by increasing the reactivity of the reactive gas present in the plasma and, in addition, introduces an energetic ion bombardment of the substrate before and during the growth of the film which improves the adherence and the deposit compactness.

  • Patent number: 6726222
Abstract: A drill chuck has a chuck body centered on an axis and forming an axially forwardly open bit-receiving recess, an axially forwardly open polygonal-section seat at a base of the recess, and a plurality of jaws spaced angularly around the seat. The jaws can be displaced radially inward and outward to grip a bit in the recess. An element can move in the base of the recess between a blocking position in front of the polygonal-section seat and preventing entry of a bit thereinto and a freeing position clear of the seat and permitting entry of a bit thereinto. This element can be actuated for movement between the blocking and freeing positions either manually or automatically.

  • Patent number: 6726614
Abstract: A method and device for trimming flaps formed upon joining a leading end of a new roll to the trading end of a web of a preceding roll in which the web, after joining, is guided around an upstream roller, along a straight path and then onto a downstream roller. A nozzle directs an air stream in the direction of movement of the web or along the width thereof to cause the flap to erect. Downstream of the nozzle a blade trims the flap while it is erected by the air stream.

  • Patent number: 6726542
Abstract: The invention relates to a grinding wheel for grinding a blade, on the surface of which ions are deposited by means of a plasma-supported method and containing silicon carbide as abrasive medium with a grain size ranging from 100 to 500 mesh, said material being deposited in a ceramic based binding agent with aluminum silicate. The abrasive medium grains are thermally hardened and bonded in the porous aluminum silicate bond. Abrasive medium concentration in the grinding wheel is higher than 1 volume %. Said grinding wheel is used in a grinding system for rough grinding the blade. Polishing is then cared out with a second grinding wheel containing pure corundum as abrasive medium with a grain size ranging from 400 to 800 mesh, which is deposited a in multicomponent synthetic resin, preferably a phenol resin based resin with a concentration of more than 1 volume %, preferably 30 to 50%. The abrasive medium contains polishing-active filling materials with a volume fraction ranging between 3% and 10%.
