  • Patent number: 6651690
Abstract: A system for releasing growth inhibiting chemicals downstream in an air conditioner drain assembly. The system also allows a user to vary the concentration and time for releasing the growth inhibitor chemical. A main elongated tubular member is perpendicularly connected with inlet and outlet tubular members that include rotably mounted female connectors that are removably connected with threaded male connectors. The latter in turn are connected to upstream and downstream drain pipe lines. The inherent structure of the system facilitates its operation and maintenance.

  • Patent number: 6647677
Abstract: A window assembly that includes an outer end inner frame assemblies. The outer frame assembly has two horizontal frame members and two vertical frame members. The inner frame assembly includes two horizontal inner members that are slidably mounted to the horizontal frame members. The inner frame assembly also includes two vertical inner members that are mountable on the vertical frame members with fastener members. The outer frame assembly and the vertical and horizontal inner members sandwich or entrap a garage panel with an aperture and a transparent panel to define a window. The outer frame assembly includes a longitudinally and peripherally extending rib member with longitudinal cut-outs. The horizontal inner frame members include longitudinal slots that receive the rib member. Fasteners are used to mount the two vertical inner members to the two vertical frame members keeping the garage panel and the transparent panel sandwiched in place.

  • Patent number: 6634642
Abstract: An immigration board game and method for playing it where the players live through the difficulties typically associated with immigrants as they adjust to the American way of life and seek the American dream. The game is played on a board with a predetermined number of contiguously disposed spaces over which each player's token advances. Initially, each player is assigned a unique legal status through aleatory means. Each space is associated with instructions providing for penalties and awards. Additionally, some of these spaces direct the players to one or more sets of cards with additional awards and non-pecuniary penalties directed to affect the legal status of the player. Choices are given throughout the game for the players to choose sets with or without pecuniary rewards depending on whether the player wants to take his/her chances with immediate economic rewards or improvements in his/her legal status.

  • Patent number: 6615896
Abstract: A storm shutter assembly for building openings where the several articulated contiguous blade assemblies are housed within a frame assembly and selectively moved between two extreme positions from approximately 4 degrees to 180 degrees. The frame includes a coextensive support surface. The contiguous blade assemblies are hingedly connected at their longitudinal complementary ends. One of the ends includes a longitudinal outer socket fold with two arched arms that journal a longitudinal inner fold at the other end of a contiguous blade assembly. One of the arms is smaller and is arched with a cooperative radius of curvature to receive the longitudinal inner fold. A stopper bay catches one of the arms when the contiguous blade assemblies extend out to a coplanar disposition. Reinforcement longitudinal folds are provided on the blade assemblies that coact with the support surface for transmitting the wind load to the frame assembly directly.

  • Patent number: 6591741
Abstract: A container for frying food. The container is shaped to snugly fit within a basket, utilized for frying or deep-frying in oil. The container is made of a heat resistant conductive material, which may withstand extreme temperatures to cook when frying. Additionally, the heat resistant conductive material increases heat intensity to cook more rapidly, with less energy. The container has a plurality of small holes at each sidewall, to allow oil to escape, but not the contents within. Benefits of the instant invention include multiple reuse of cooking oil and increased life span of the oil, lower energy consumption to cook, decreased cooking time, and increased “crispy” quality of food.

  • Patent number: 6591762
Abstract: A corner shelf assembly for corner walls using a flat shelf member with two perpendicularly disposed edges. Each of the edges includes at least one tongue member that extends coplanarly and is removably inserted within respective casing members that are cooperatively mounted within openings at the corner walls. The casing members accepting the tongues from one of the edges are wider so that the flat shelf member can be slid horizontally after this first set of tongues is inserted. A latching mechanism is used to keep the flat shelf member in place. Alternatively, corner the shelf assembly may include locking clips that are inserted in the casings after the user inserts the tongues in the wider casings. The locking clips prevent lateral movements of the shelf assembly. The corner shelf assembly can be removed upon the application of a predetermined amount of lifting force to the shelf member.

  • Patent number: 6585182
Abstract: A hand held fishing reel with an outer reel assembly with a wound line that is releasable when the reel's plane is turned substantially perpendicular to the line and it is locked when its plane is aligned with the line. A ratchet mechanism permits a user to take in the line, when the plane of the reel is aligned with the line. An internal cylinder is rotatably mounted in the central space with an ergonometric grip and ratchet for cooperatively receiving a mating body to releasably holding the reel in place. The hand held fishing reel is releasably mounted to a fixed structure to free a user's hand.

  • Patent number: 6575712
Abstract: An air compressor system utilized in a body of water that produces compressed air from water wave energy. The air compressor system includes floating structures in a body of water designed to receive ambient air and produce compressed air, utilizing a bellow assembly. The air compressor system converts water wave energy into storable and consumable energies, such as compressed air in a storage tank. The instant invention primarily comprises a low-wave air compressor, high-wave air compressor, and a stabilizing system.

  • Patent number: 6574807
Abstract: An improved furniture bed assembly primarily comprising a housing having a caster assembly, a stationary frame assembly and a bed frame assembly. Housed within and secured to the housing, the bed frame assembly has means to fold within the furniture housing. The caster assembly is a retractable wheel assembly to facilitate movement of the instant invention. To use the bed assembly, a user opens the housing, exposing the bed. The user pulls the bed assembly partially out of the furniture housing allowing the bed frame assembly to lock in place, to allow the user to safely and comfortably lay down and rest on the bed.

  • Patent number: 6569232
Abstract: The present fiber reinforced cellular concrete is produced through a chemical reaction that does not require high heat or pressure ovens (autoclaves). Among its unique features, is the fact that different compression strengths can be obtained by varying the proportion of ingredients and resulting densities. The concrete utilizes a base of a pozzolanic product with aluminum powder, lime, calcium formate, cement, and polypropylene fiber is added, along with water. Expanded shale, clay or slate is added to provide lower shrinkage to the resulting mass reducing cracking. Optionally, sand and compatible reinforcing material can also be added.

  • Patent number: 6543795
Abstract: A basket with a bottom and peripheral walls defining a cargo space therein. At least three legs are mounted to the underside of the bottom and each leg has a wheel assembly at the distal end. The legs are hollow and the internal diameter increases from the distal end so that the other end, mounted to the underside, cooperatively coincides with openings on the bottom. The legs are removably insertable through the openings and housed within each other so that the baskets can be stacked up in a volumetrically efficient fashion. Removable covers are mounted on the openings, when the basket is in use, to prevent objects from falling inside.
