Abstract: The invention relates to aralkyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole derivatives, especially 5-phenyl-lower alkyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carboxamides of the formula ##STR1## in which Ph represents phenyl substituted by lower alkyl, halogen and/or by trifluoromethyl, alky represents lower alkylidene, R.sub.1 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and R.sub.2 represents carbamoyl that is unsubstituted or is substituted by lower alkyl or by lower alkanoyl, and their salts and, as the case may be, their tautomers and the salts thereof. These compounds can be used as anti-convulsive pharmaceutical active ingredients.
Abstract: The addition of hindered amines in combination with a phosphorus-III-ester to the polymerization of olefins on spherical Ziegler-Natta catalysts effects a thermo-oxidative stabilization of the prepared polymers. Phenolic antioxidants may be used additionally.
Abstract: Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is an aromatic radical, n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, X is an oxy group, a thio group which can be oxidized or an imino group which is unsubstituted or has aliphatic substituents, alk.sub.1 and alk.sub.2 are identical or different divalent aliphatic radicals, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or a monovalent aliphatic radical and salts thereof have properties which regulate calcium metabolism and can be employed for the treatment of diseases connected with disturbances in this metabolism. They are prepared, for example, by reacting a compound of the formula ##STR2## in which X.sub.3 is carboxyl with a phosphorylating agent and hydrolysing the primary product.
Abstract: Flame-resistant polyester moulding compounds comprising(A) 70-95% by weight of a specific polyester mixture made up of polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate copolyester with 3-30 mol % of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid containing up to 36 C atoms, and, if desired, polybutylene terephthalate, and(B) 30-5% by weight of a flame-retardant additive made up of a bromine-containing organic compound and an antimony compound selected from the group comprising Sb.sub.2 O.sub.5, NaSbO.sub.3 and Sb.sub.2 O.sub.3, with a mean particle size of not less than 2 .mu.m,are particularly suitable for the production of partially crystalline mouldings by means of injection moulding. The mouldings are distinguished by a light self-colour with comparatively good thermal, mechanical and electrical properties.

Abstract: The invention relates to a transdermal therapeutic system in the form of a multilayer plaster for the administration of active substances which are able to permeate, in the form of a matrix system containing at least three layers:(a) a covering layer which is impermeable for the constituents of the reservoir b);(b) a reservoir layer which is able to deliver active substance and which consists of optionally crosslinked block copolymer based on styrene, alkadienes and optionally alkenes mixed with adhesive polymers and is optionally provided with an additional adhesive membrane layer and contains at least one active substance capable of skin permeation, at least one agent promoting the skin permeability of active substances and optionally further pharmaceutical auxiliaries, and(c) a protective film which can be pulled off the reservoir layer.

Abstract: Curable compositions are described comprising(A) an epoxy resin having on average more than one epoxide group per molecule,(B) a curing agent which can be activated at an elevated temperature for component (A),(C) a liquid copolymer based on butadiene, acrylonitrile and, if appropriate, further ethylenically unsaturated comonomers, and(D) a selected segmented copolymer consisting essentially of recurring soft segments containing polypropylene glycol units or polybutylene glycol units and selected hard segments having a softening point above 25.degree. Abstract: Moulding compositions comprising(a) a melamine/formaldehyde resin, a melamine/phenol/formaldehyde resin or a mixture of said resins,(b) organic and/or inorganic fillers,(c) a lubricant, and(d) 0.1 to 2% by weight, based on the total composition, of 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol as latent hardener,are suitable for the production of mouldings by injection moulding. The latent hardener employed permits extremely short cycle times coupled with long residence times at the cylinder temperature of the injection moulding machine. The moulding compositions are distinguished at the same time by very good flow properties.
