    Abstract: An apparatus for recovering the meat of small crustaceans comprises a loading mechanism, a mechanism for destroying the shell and separating it from the meat, including a receiving bell-mouth, a plain-wall curving duct with a rectilinear portion and a connection for feeding the working fluid. The connection includes a nozzle coaxial with the rectilinear portion of the duct, the latter being adjoined by a helical passage terminating in a diffuser. The invention enables recovering the meat of crustaceans in the form of a solid lump of the muscular tissue, devoid of the shell, liver, lipides, gastrointestinal tract and other impurities, and to use this meat for production of high-quality canned krill meat.

    Abstract: A blast furnace cooling arrangemenet comprises a cooling screen which is disposed in an annular space between a furnace shell and its lining, and which is formed by vertically arranged rows of plates provided with main and additional internal ducts having common inlets and common outlets. Mounted above the cooling screen are drum separators which communicate through supply pipelines and take-off pipelines with the common inlets and outlets of the main and additional ducts of the plates of each vertical row, the above elements forming closed circuits of natural circulation of a cooling medium. Connected at the common inlets and outlets of the additional ducts of the vertical rows of the plates are circuits of forced circulation of a cooling medium.

    Abstract: The invention relates to devices for checking the conditions of the coolant at the output of the coolant feed unit of an electrical machine with cryogenic cooling.The device for checking the condition of the coolant comprises a hollow rotor, in which cryogenic temperature is maintained. Located inside the hollow rotor at one end and coaxially with the rotor is a coolant feed unit having a stationary part made in the form of two coaxial tubes disposed with a gap with respect to each other and a movable part. One end of the coolant feed unit communicates with a coolant supply tank while the other end communicates with a coolant collecting chamber, which, in turn, communicates with a unit for transferring the coolant into a liquid coolant receiver tank disposed at the other end of the hollow rotor and made, identically to the unit, in the form of two coaxial tubes.

    Abstract: The apparatus comprises a hollow casing in the form of a solid of revolution having an inlet and an outlet, a spinner for imparting rotary motion within the casing to a fluid being purified, and a hollow filter element closed at one end, positioned coaxially within the casing and snugly fit with the open end in the outlet of the casing. The apparatus also includes a discharge connection piece for removal of the impurities that have been separated from the fluid being purified. The spinner is positioned at the inlet, and the discharge connection piece is attached to the lower portion of the casing. The filter element and the casing define a space tapering from the inlet toward the outlet, and the filter element being a frame with a covering having a water-repellent polymeric foam material applied thereto.

    Abstract: A preheater unit which includes a chamber for boiler water and a domestic water heating coil is arranged in heat exchange relationship with the exhaust duct of a boiler of a heating system for extracting heat from the flue gases. Boiler water may be shut off to the heat radiating system in the summer although boiler water is fed to the preheater unit both in summer and in winter. The domestic water heating coil within the preheater unit is connected in series flow relationship with the domestic water heating coil interiorly of the boiler. A summer/winter switch is added to the conventional boiler circuitry to enable control of the water circulator by the thermostat in the winter, while the water circulator is operated by the upper limit aquastat during summer operation whenever the burner of the boiler is energized.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a device for guniting the lining of casting ladles, comprising a platform which is mounted by means of adjustable supports on the ladle to be repaired. On the under side of the platform a guide is mounted so as to extend downward from the platform into the casting ladle. A carriage with a nozzle for supplying gunite onto the surface being repaired is mounted for reciprocating motion along the guide. The guide is fitted on sleds which, in turn, are set on a swivel table so as to permit radial displacement of the sleds relative to the axis of rotation of the swivel table, the swivel table being rotatably mounted on the platform. On the under side of the platform there is also arranged a detachable templet whose curvature is similar to the curvature of the horizontal cross-section of the ladle. A roller pair is mounted on the templet to run around it.

A feeder for feeding the objects into the machine is provided with a mechanism for feeding an array of objects, a separator and an inspection unit for identifying the distinguishing feature of each object.

A pipe for removal of solid substances is provided in the lower portion of the conical bottom.

    Abstract: An impact mechanism operated with gaseous fluid under pressure fed from a source of fluid having a casing with an inner cylindrical space. A piston is accommodated for reciprocation within the cylindrical space of the casing to divide the space into a work stroke chamber and an idle stroke chamber. The chambers are in communication with the source of gaseous fluid through a distribution means for reciprocation of the piston under the action of fluid. A valve is provided over the inlet port of at least one chamber to admit gaseous fluid under pressure thereto. The valve comprises biasing means in the form of a helical compression spring mounted coaxially with the inlet port of the chamber. One end of the spring is tightly sealed and the other end is fixed over the inlet port of the casing. Gaseous fluids under pressure is admitted to the chamber through gaps between the turns of the spring when the spring is expanded, and the admission is interrupted when the spring is compressed.

    Abstract: A device for mounting the breaking cone of an inertia crusher having a crushing bowl and a breaking cone arranged within the crushing bowl comprises a shell, the top portion of which contains a spherical support provided with a central cylindrical hole to receive a shaft of the breaking cone, and in the bottom portion thereof, there is arranged a ball spindle interconnected with a bush carrying an out-of-balance weight on the outer surface thereof intended for placing the breaking cone shaft therewithin. The bush is of such a length that its upper end is disposed in the central cylindrical hole and enters it so far that the bush rests, when tilted, upon the wall of the central cylindrical hole. Also, an annular projection in the bottom portion of the shell serves as a support for the out-of-balance weight when the bush rests upon the wall of the cylindrical hole.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for wrapping an object in a sheet. A retainer formed with a slot is moved along a work path. A piece of sheet is supplied across the opening of the slot; then the object is inserted into the slot and pushes the sheet to the back of the slot against the retainer, with the edges of the sheet sticking out between the object and the edges of the slot, with part of the surface of the object being free; then a pressure plate is placed adjacent to the free surface, the outward facing surface of this plate being smooth; then first one, and then the other, protruding edge of the sheet is wrapped round the object and over the pressure plate by an embracing arm, so that the edges of the sheet overlap; then these edges are joined by a joiner bearing against the smooth part of the pressure plate; and then the wrapped object is discharged from the retainer.
