Abstract: A lighting fixture with self-contained batteries and mercury switch for attachment of the fixture to the interior surface of the door of a mailbox for illuminating the box interior when the door is opened. The mercury switch is manually adjustable about a lateral axis so that the fixture may be used on either front opening or top tilting doors.

Abstract: A clamping fixture specifically designed for securing rods, such as ejector pins used in injection molding processes, that are to be accurately ground to a specific length. The fixture includes an adjustable stop member for indexing the end of a rod and a jaw block with an elongated V-groove and movable jaw for securing the rod along a length thereof. The movable jaw includes an novel angled ramp member for lifting a rod into a position to be clamped in the V-groove.

Abstract: Concrete finishers' knee skis provide a support for a cement finisher to move across wet cement, either kneeling or standing on the skis. Each ski is formed of a elongated sheet stainless steel body with upturned ends and with side walls, both bent with a curvature radius of about 1/2 inch. In one upturned end is a stirrup cage having a top opening to receive the shoe toe or a worker in a kneeling position, and a second side opening to receive the toe of the worker in a standing position. The ski is thus pulled and pushed only by the shoe toe, and may be moved forward, backward, or sideways without indenting or otherwise damaging the surface of the finished cement.

Abstract: In a scanning electron microscope, a co-planar, split grid is interposed between an electron bombarded specimen and scintillator. A first positive potential is applied to one element of the split grid and a positive potential, variable with respect to the first potential, is applied to the other grid element for selectively controlling the collection of secondary emission electrons to thereby eliminate uneven secondary electron distribution that may result from various topographical features of the specimen.

Abstract: A spring steel clip for connecting a first member to a second member is U-shaped with side tabs on one leg that is bent toward the inner surface of the other leg for limiting the amount the legs may be pressed together by a screw passing through holes in each leg and into an attached threaded nut. The screw may pass through a hole in a first member for connecting it to the edge of a second member to which the clip is clamped.

Abstract: An ornamental wheel cover assembly for front and rear wheels of recreation vehicles, trucks, busses or the like includes a hub cover which covers the vehicle hub and has a flange with holes that freely fit over the vehicle lug nuts and a second radial lip having a diameter somewhat larger than the diameter of the central hole in a wheel cover disc. The hub cover is first applied and held in position by the wheel cover disc which is attached to the vehicle wheel by small screws passing through the wheel cover disc to U-shaped clips that attach to the edges of the hand hold openings in the vehicle wheel.

Abstract: A drilling template for accurately positioning latch holes and lock cutouts in door stiles. The template includes a pair of spaced, parallel, rectangular, frame member that are rigidly interconnected at one end. The frame members straddle a vertical door stile with the interconnecting end firmly against the edge of the stile. Clamps on one frame member are then tightened. A latch hole drilling guide is centered in a plate at the interconnecting end of the frame, and various diameter hole saw guides on removable side plates are positionable at any of a plurality of selected positions along the length of the frame to provide cutout positions for any of many lock backsets.

Abstract: A battery driven toy top containing a motor rotated flywheel enclosed in a domed housing. The top may be spun on either the dome or preferably on the opposite end of the tubular housing and contains noise generators and flashing lights controlled by a novel centrifugal switch.

Abstract: Apparatus for adapting a high speed, drill press type tapping head for use with a CNC vertical milling machine and specifically to a three-piece apparatus that will maintain proper rotation-free alignment of the tapping head housing in both the movable automatic tool rack and in the spindle of the mill. A forked flange secured to the tapping head housing engages a vertically depending shaft attached to a vertically movable, non-rotating part of the mill to prevent rotation of the housing when the tap is rotated by the mill. The opposite side of the tapping head housing supports a short horizontal shaft that engages depending forks on a member attached to the assigned location of the tapping head in the movable tool rack.

Abstract: In a bag-in-box fluid dispensing system including a bag fitment sealed over an opening in the fluid bag, a normally closed valved intermediate element sealed in the bag fitment, and a normally closed valved dispenser removably coupled to the valved intermediate element, the intercoupling of the intermediate element and the valved dispenser causing the valves in each unit to open for the passage of fluid from the fluid bag, an improved intermediate element having but two components, the improved element including a housing having a long skirt for passing through the bag fitment and into the fluid bag to prevent blocking of the bag opening, a valve set formed by the deformation of a circular opening in the end of the housing, and a normally closed axially movable valve member for mating with the valve seat and having a valve spring bias provided by the deformation of a novel hemispherical resilient member latched in the bore of the housing.

Abstract: A woodworking router accessory tool having a rectangular router base member having rollers in the bottomfor easy rolling against a straight edge for linear cutting. An adjustable length radius bar attaches to the base member for circle cutting, and longitunal straight frame member that closely retains the base member and its attached router for safe, long, precision routing. In addition, a short rectangular frame to which the base member may be attached permits both very short radius cuts and a guide fence.

Abstract: The invention is for an instrument container and the method of its use. Instruments for sterilization are placed on a tray spaced above a floor of the container, and the container has a gated exhaust port in a wall and adjacent the floor. In use, the open top container with open exhaust port is placed in a pressure vessel and having an outlet, steam is caused to gravitate down through the instruments to exit through its open exhaust port and thence through the vessel's outlet. When the steam vessel is opened, the gate is closed and latched over the container's exhaust port and a top cover is installed so that the sterilized instruments maybe transported through non-sterile environments without danger of contamination.
