Abstract: A method of forming an electronic component package includes coupling a first surface of an electronic component to a first surface of a first dielectric strip, the electronic component comprising bond pads on the first surface; forming first via apertures through the first dielectric strip to expose the bond pads; and filling the first via apertures with an electrically conductive material to form first vias electrically coupled to the bond pads. The bond pads are directly connected to the corresponding first vias without the use of a solder and without the need to form a solder wetting layer on the bond pads.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and a fabricating method thereof are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a plurality of semiconductor dies are mounted on a laminating member, for example, a copper clad lamination, having previously formed conductive patterns, followed by performing operations of encapsulating, forming conductive vias, forming a solder resist and sawing, thereby fabricating a chip size package in a simplified manner. Fiducial patterns are further formed on the laminating member, thereby accurately positioning the semiconductor dies at preset positions of the laminating member.

Abstract: A method and system for providing intelligent targeted budget analysis and recommendations based on financial data from similarly situated individuals whereby financial data associated with multiple individuals is obtained and analyzed to identify financial profile elements associated with each individual. Data indicating the financial profile elements associated with the each of the individuals is stored in a financial profile database. The financial data associated with a given individual is then also obtained and analyzed to identify financial profile elements associated with the given individual. The financial profile elements associated with the given individual are then used to search the financial profile database to find one or more individuals that are financial peers of the given individual.

Abstract: A method and system for providing budget recommendations based on financial data from similarly situated individuals whereby financial transaction data associated with a given individual is analyzed to identify financial profile information associated with the given individual. The financial profile information associated with the given individual is then used to determine/define one or more “financial peer” identification criteria/parameters to be used for identifying individuals who are financially similarly situated with respect to the given individual. Financial data associated with various other individuals is obtained from one or more sources and the financial data associated with the other individuals is analyzed using the one or more financial peer identification criteria/parameters to identify one or more financial peers of the given individual.

Abstract: A system and method for adding check information to an electronic transaction listing whereby a paper check, or copy of a paper check, is scanned into a computing system and converted to an electronic image of the paper check. One or more areas of the image of the paper check are identified and the image of the paper check is sub-divided into image sub-sections based on the content displayed in a given area/sub-section. One or more image sub-sections are copied from the electronic image of the paper check and then added to a check based financial transaction listing in a financial transaction list.

Abstract: Systems and methods for a healthcare information collection and analysis system to collect health information, aggregate and/or analyze the information, and use the collected information to provide relevant information in an organized form to one or more system users. The information may be used to provide system users with health information about health conditions and their related procedures and medications. The information may be used by the system users, for example, to determine what procedures and medications they can expect with certain health conditions. The information may also help system users select healthcare providers and may provide system users with a range of approximate costs to expect for the procedures and medications.

Abstract: A method and system for recommending a bank account based on consumer financial data whereby financial transaction data, including banking transaction data, associated with a given consumer is obtained from one or more sources. The financial transaction data is then analyzed to identify one or more consumer bank account usage attributes associated with the given consumer. Data representing one or more bank accounts currently available, and one or more banking features associated with the one or more bank accounts currently available, is obtained from one or more sources and stored in an available bank accounts database. The available bank accounts database is then searched using the data representing the identified one or more consumer bank account usage attributes to find one or more bank accounts currently available having banking features that are advantageous to the given consumer.

Abstract: A method includes determining whether new phishing site identifiers (URLs and/or IP addresses) have been created. Upon a determination that the new phishing site identifiers have been created, the new phishing site identifiers are compared to site identifiers of sites to which critical values have been provided in the past. Upon a determination that at least one of the new phishing site identifiers matches at least one of the site identifiers, a phishing notification is provided that the user was successfully phished in the past.

Abstract: A system and method for automatic approval of direct deposit payroll limit increases includes a computing system implemented process for automatic approval of direct deposit payroll limit increases whereby a payroll management system provider establishes qualification criteria for automatic approval of direct deposit payroll increases. Once the qualification criteria are defined, the qualification criteria are stored. Then, when a customer business requests a direct deposit payroll that exceeds at least one of the customer's current direct deposit payroll limits, the process for automatic approval of direct deposit payroll limit increases analyzes the requested direct deposit payroll data and/or customer history data and compares this data with the qualification criteria.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a bumped chip package includes forming a first seed layer on a dielectric layer, the dielectric layer comprising a dielectric layer opening exposing a substrate terminal of a substrate, the first seed layer being formed within the dielectric layer opening and on the substrate terminal. A circuit pattern is plated on the first seed layer, wherein an exposed portion of the first seed layer is exposed from the circuit pattern. The exposed portion of the first seed layer is removed by laser-ablation. By using a laser-ablation process, a chemical etching process is avoided thus eliminating the need to treat or dispose of chemical etching hazardous waste. Further, circuit pattern width erosion and undercut of the circuit pattern associated with a chemical etching process are avoided.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for indentifying Icons whereby a known/clean file Icon database is created that includes Icon image data and/or .ico files associated with known icons of selected applications. The resource section of any file being transferred to, or through, a given user computing system is then stripped and scanned for .ico files and any .ico files identified are extracted. Then for each directory extracted from the identified .ico files, the relevant image data is extracted. The known/clean Icon image data is obtained from the known/clean file Icon database. The extracted relevant image data is then compared with known/clean Icon image data and, if the extracted relevant image data matches with the known/clean Icon image data to a desired level of accuracy, a status of the extracted .ico files, and/or given file, is transformed indicate a status of Icon match.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically soliciting business reviews includes a process for automatically soliciting business reviews whereby searches made, and/or reviews submitted, by individuals using a community based business listing and review system are monitored and user specific usage data is collected including: the user's identification; the business listing category in which a search was conducted and/or the business listing category in which a review was submitted by the user; and the community in which the user resides, and/or the community in which the search was made, and/or the community in which the business reviewed resides. Once user specific usage data about the user, and the searches the user conducts and/or the reviews the user has submitted, is gathered, the user specific usage data is then used to create user specific review solicitations of various types.

Abstract: A method and system for providing setup assistance for applications includes a process for providing setup and/or operational assistance for applications whereby as a user implements a given computing system implemented application, the user of the computing system implemented application is offered assistance for setting up and/or operating all, or part of, the computing system implemented application based, at least in part, on the amount of data, and/or the type of data, the user is entering and/or has entered, for use with and/or by the given computing system implemented application.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for identifying 419 messages in a live message stream whereby an incoming message in a live message stream is subjected to an anti-spam pipeline made up of multiple anti-spam stages or filters including a whitelist filter stage, a dynamic feedback-based heuristic filter stage, a 419 text-based heuristic filter stage, one or more metadata creating heuristic filter stages, and a metadata analysis stage. A message is removed from the live analysis of the anti-spam pipeline at any stage where the message is identified as either a potential 419 message or a potential legitimate message. Consequently, processing costs are minimized since no resources are used on messages that have already been classified as either a potential 419 message or a potential legitimate message.

Abstract: A dynamic financial caricature graphic whereby financial data associated with a user is obtained from one or more sources. The financial data associated with a user obtained from one or more sources is then aggregated and/or categorized/re-categorized to generate a personalized financial caricature graphic that is a visual representation of the user and the user's financial situation. The visual characteristics of the dynamic financial caricature graphic, such as size, weight, height, clothing, color, accessories, etc., are chosen based on the financial data associated with a user obtained from one or more sources and/or one or more criteria provided. The user's financial data is then monitored and the visual characteristics of the dynamic financial caricature graphic are changed and/or updated in accordance with changes in the financial data associated with the user obtained from the one or more sources.

Abstract: A user mode application component invokes the assistance of a kernel mode driver component to detect and/or remediate malicious code on a computer system. The user mode application may include code that detects, for example, spyware and computer viruses, from user mode and when appropriate takes protective action when malicious code is detected. In one aspect, when the user mode application is unable to perform a selected operation in attempting to detect and/or take protective action, the user mode application invokes a kernel mode driver for assistance. The kernel mode driver assists user mode application in detecting malicious code and/or taking protective action by enabling or otherwise performing a selected operation for the user mode application.
