Abstract: A method and system for linking portions of digital media data during playback includes a process for linking portions of digital media data during playback whereby a user is provided the capability to link two or more digital media data tracks/segments of digital media data such that the linked digital media data tracks/segments of digital media data are treated as a single entity for playback purposes, thereby ensuring that the linked digital media data tracks/segments of digital media data are played back in an order desired/dictated by the user regardless of playback mode or which of the linked tracks is selected.

Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment, a method of forming a protruding post substrate package includes applying a dielectric layer to a carrier. Via apertures are formed in the dielectric layer. Carrier cavities are formed in the carrier using the dielectric layer as a mask. The carrier cavities are lined with a first metal, the first metal being selectively etchable compared to the carrier. After encapsulation of an electronic component with an encapsulant, the carrier is removed such that protruding posts including the first metal protrude outward from a first surface of the dielectric layer.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a key list entry corresponding to a user's private key is securely deleted from a key list of a user device on shutdown of the user device. Subsequently, input of the user's private key will not allow decryption of an encrypted partition storing encrypted data on the user device. In another embodiment, a key list entry corresponding to a user's private key is automatically and securely re-provisioned on boot up of the user device. Subsequently, input of the user's private key will allow decryption of the encrypted partition on the user device.

Abstract: A method and system for viewing and transferring data between documents whereby source data a user desires to transfer from a source document to the one or more data fields and/or locations of a given target electronic form, or other target document, is transformed into clipboard content data. The clipboard content data is then linked to a selected cursor/pointer, or other user interface device, such that the clipboard content data can be displayed along with the target electronic form, or other target document, on the same user interface screen, wherever the selected cursor/pointer is located on the user interface screen. This allows the user to quickly view and transfer the source data to the target electronic form, or other target document, within the same given user interface screen, and within a common display context, without having to toggle between the target electronic form, or other target document.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a customized start-up budget for a new business leverages actual business start-up data associated with one or more actual businesses in one or more locations collected by various financial management systems to provide a customized start-up budget for a new business that includes a listing of the business start-up budget categories and/or business start-up budget sub-categories associated with starting up a proposed business in a particular area and the average, or otherwise weighted, amounts spent in each of the business start-up budget categories and/or business start-up budget.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing an on-line reputation manager whereby review and/or ratings data associated with a given business and/or product is obtained from two or more Internet based business ratings/review system sources. The review and/or ratings data is aggregated, and/or processed, according to one or more aggregation/processing parameters. Abstract: A system and method for providing a personalized dictionary and vocabulary building tool whereby data representing an electronic media based version of a document is obtained and at least a portion of the electronic media based version of a document is displayed on a display screen associated with a computing system. A user selects any word in the portion of the document displayed on the display screen and electronic data representing the definition of the user selected word is then obtained from one or more of several electronic media sources. The definition of the user selected word is then displayed in an electronic media format on the same display screen displaying the portion of the electronic media based version of a document.

Abstract: A semiconductor package and a method of producing the same has a substrate. A first semiconductor chip is coupled to a surface of the substrate. The first semiconductor chip has a first and second surfaces which are substantially flat in nature. An adhesive layer is coupled to the second surface of the first semiconductor chip. A second semiconductor chip having first and second surfaces which are substantially flat in nature is further provided. An insulator is coupled to the first surface of the second semiconductor chip for preventing shorting of wirebonds. The second semiconductor chip is coupled to the adhesive layer by the insulator coupled to the first surface thereof.

Abstract: Embodiments in accordance with the invention permit a virtualization application to interact with a SuperFetch feature of an operating system so that on creation of a virtualization layer the SuperFetch feature is provided the opportunity to act on the newly available file system objects of the virtualization layer. Further, when the virtualization layer is removed, embodiments in accordance with the invention remove the file system objects associated with the virtualization layer from utilization by the SuperFetch feature.

Abstract: Disclosed are a semiconductor package and a method of making the same. In the semiconductor package, a substrate and a semiconductor die are covered with and encapsulated by vertically pressing thermosetting resin having fluidity in a predetermined temperature range and denaturalizing itself in gel. Thus, it is possible to reduce a thickness of the semiconductor package and prevent wire sweeping.

Abstract: A method of forming an electronic component package includes coupling a first surface of an electronic component to a first surface of a first dielectric strip, the electronic component comprising bond pads on the first surface; forming first via apertures through the first dielectric strip to expose the bond pads; and filling the first via apertures with an electrically conductive material to form first vias electrically coupled to the bond pads. The bond pads are directly connected to the corresponding first vias without the use of a solder and without the need to form a solder wetting layer on the bond pads.

Abstract: A semiconductor package including top-surface terminals for mounting another semiconductor package provides a three-dimensional circuit configuration that can provide removable connection of existing grid-array packages having a standard design. A semiconductor die is mounted on an electrically connected to a circuit substrate having terminals disposed on a bottom side for connection to an external system. The die and substrate are encapsulated and vias are laser-ablated or otherwise formed through the encapsulation to terminals on the top surface of the substrate that provide a grid array mounting lands to which another grid array semiconductor package may be mounted. The bottom side of the vias may terminate and electrically connect to terminals on the substrate, terminals on the bottom of the semiconductor package (through terminals) or terminals on the top of the semiconductor die.

Abstract: An agent on a network is preconfigured to automatically respond to neighborhood discovery by sending an advertisement having a spoof IPv6 address. A spoof IPv6 address includes a spoof NIC value that is a value that identifies a network interface card not being used on the network. Thus, upon receipt of the advertisement by the infected host computer system, malicious code on the infected host computer system probes the spoof IPv6 address space defined by a network section value of the spoof IPv6 address, the spoof NIC value, and the range of possible values of the assigned host ID value of the spoof IPv6 address. As there are no interfaces within the spoof IPv6 address space except that associated with the agent, propagation of the malicious code is slowed or defeated and connections are directed to the agent.

Abstract: A system and method for providing healthcare claims assistance whereby a given healthcare service consumer's healthcare services data relating to a given healthcare service item is obtained and is translated into a description of the services in language, and/or a format, that a typical healthcare service consumer can understand. The healthcare service consumer's healthcare services data is also used to present the healthcare service consumer with a payment calculation display and an explanation of how the healthcare service consumer's portion of the claim amount was calculated. The healthcare services consumer is then provided advice on who to contact and/or how to proceed to resolve any perceived errors and/or obtain more detailed information.

Abstract: A computer system scans image files for pornographic image content by pre-filtering image files to detect the presence in copyright data fields of stored items of copyright information deemed to indicate that the image file is one of acceptable or unacceptable. On detecting such items of copyright information, a signal is output indicating that the image file does or does not contain pornographic image content without the need to analyse the image content of the image file.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and method of manufacturing the same are provided. The semiconductor device comprises a semiconductor die including a bond pad, a redistribution layer, and a solder ball. The redistribution layer is formed by sequentially plating copper and nickel, sequentially plating nickel and copper, or sequentially plating copper, nickel, and copper. The redistribution layer includes a nickel layer in order to prevent a crack from occurring in a copper layer. Further, a projection is formed in an area of the redistribution layer or a dielectric layer to which the solder ball is welded and corresponds, so that an area of the redistribution layer to which the solder ball is welded increases, thereby increasing bonding power between the solder ball and the redistribution layer.

Abstract: An execution unit for a stack based computing system that can combine instructions into instruction groups for concurrent execution is provided. In accordance with one embodiment, the instructions of the stack based computing system are separated into different instruction types. Certain combinations of instruction types can be combined into instruction groups for concurrent execution. The execution unit includes an instruction folding unit that is configured to determine the instruction type of instructions and combine the instructions into instruction groups, and an instruction pipeline that is configured to process both instructions and instruction groups. In one embodiment, the instruction folding unit includes: an instruction type estimator which estimates the instruction types of various instructions; an instruction selector, which selects the instruction types from the estimated instruction types; and a folding logic circuit which combines the instructions into instruction groups.

Abstract: A multi-level cache and method for operation thereof is presented for processing multiple cache system accesses simultaneously and handling the interactions between the queues of the cache levels. The cache unit includes a non-blocking cache receiving data access requests from a functional unit in a processor, and a miss queue storing entries corresponding to data access requests not serviced by the non-blocking cache. A victim queue stores entries of the non-blocking cache which have been evicted from the non-blocking cache, while a write queue buffers write requests into the non-blocking cache. Controller logic is provided for controlling interaction between the miss queue and the victim queue. Controller logic is also provided for controlling interaction between the miss queue and the write queue. Controller logic is also provided for controlling interaction between the victim queue and the miss queue for processing cache misses.

Abstract: A clip assembly tool for grasping the finger and legs of a retainer and spreading them apart from one another includes a lower arm having a first clasp and an upper arm having a second clasp. The lower arm is pivotally attached to the upper arm. The tool further includes a wedge arm having a nose, where the wedge arm is pivotally attached to the upper arm. To use the tool, the second clasp is moved away from the first clasp and the retainer is inserted between the first and second clasps. The second clasp is then moved back towards the first clasp. The nose of the wedge arm then wedges the legs and finger of the retainer in first and second catchs of the first and second clasps, respectively. The second clasp is then again moved away from the first clasp. Since the legs and finger are securely fastened to the first and second catches, respectively, the finger is spread from the legs.
