Abstract: A portable cooling system for use in conjunction with child carriages incorporating a reservoir of ice and a water pump that directs chilled water through a dehumidifying radiator located in an air handler assembly is herein disclosed. The water continues to circulate through two (2) cooling radiators and returns to the ice and water reservoir by gravity. An electric fan blows air through the radiators where it is dehumidified by the first radiator and cooled by the next two (2) radiators. The air then continues through the air handler wherefrom it is directed toward the child through a flexible duct. A rechargeable battery system is used to power the operation of both the pump and the fan through separate switches. Such an arrangement allows the user to run just the fan for ventilation if cooling is not needed. The cooling system is carried upon the rear of a baby carriage in a stable manner.
Abstract: A cover for the grip area of golf clubs to keep them dry and protected from the elements is herein disclosed, preferably comprising a neoprene covering in the shape of a tube with the approximate dimensions of twelve (12) to twenty (20) inches long and a diameter of two (2) inches. A first end of the tube is sealed, while a second end is furnished with a flexible membrane which seals it against the club shaft. The closed end is provided with a hook to allow the cover to be hung along with a club, thereby providing a means for the cover to be placed over the grip end of a golf club in much the same manner as a sock. This not only extends the life of the club and grip, but provides the golfer with enhanced performance due to the decreased risk of slippage during play, particularly during wet conditions.
Abstract: An external sprinkler system for use on homes is herein disclosed. It is designed to prevent the ignition of the roof structure from glowing ashes or embers from a nearby wild fire or structure fire. The sprinkler system would use a series of nozzles connected to a common manifold and integrated therein a building structure's roof vents. The piping connecting the manifold is connected to a water supply via a control valve mounted at grade level. Control equipment provides switching between a public water supply and home cisterns. Runoff water is captured by the existing gutter system and recycled through the system. During activation, the system soaks the roof and house and makes it very difficult for ignition from an external source to take place. The system provides manual activation and remote activation from a cell phone or fire station.
Abstract: A system and method for an inflatable swimming pool cover that is elevated above the water line, particularly for above ground pools, is herein disclosed. The cover is configured with a donut-shaped air pillow around a higher center air pillow. The donut-shaped air pillow maintains the cover above the levels of the pool sidewalls such that rain, snow, leaves and the like are directed off the pool cover to the ground, thus eliminating unwanted debris from accumulating on the cover. Further, since no water can collect on the pool cover, the risk of drowning by young children or pets that may accidentally be trapped upon or within the pool cover is significantly reduced. The two air pillows are interconnected with a tube structure and also an air filling tube that extends to the side of the pool to allow the air pillows to be filled or refilled from the perimeter. A plurality of straps secures the pillows in place to the underside of the pool cover.
Abstract: The invention as presently conceived discloses a padded neck support for beauty salon washing sinks. The invention is an apparatus to aid in the support of a user's head during the hair washing process at a sink in a beauty salon. The head and neck support pad is configured as a conformable pad to be removably attached to the head receiving portion of a conventional hair salon sink. If necessary, means exist to removably attach multiple support pads thereon each other for vertical adjustment due to the physical characteristics of the individual user. The apparatus is covered with a waterproof cover for ease in washing after use.
Abstract: An examination table for use in the medical field comprising integral adjustment mechanisms for raising, lowering, and tilting a head cushion portion, is herein disclosed. The adjustment mechanisms further comprise an internal hydraulic moving means. The height adjustment mechanism would allow the tabletop to vary in height from approximately eighteen (18) to thirty-six (36) inches. In this manner, the table would allow a patient to simply sit down and then be elevated to a suitable height for a doctor or other medical personnel to perform needed medical procedures. Such a feature is envisioned as being invaluable to those who are handicapped, elderly, or small in stature.
Abstract: An attachment apparatus for securing a portable multimedia device to an infant stroller or perambulator that is fully adjustable. The apparatus is connected to the stroller's side support arms by frame clamp mechanisms. An adjustable support arm structure, comprised of a telescopic second arm assembly pivotally attached thereto a telescopic first arm assembly, is attached to the frame clamp mechanisms. A tray assembly removably affixed to a latitudinal adjustment plate is releasably attached to an upper portion of said adjustable support arm structure supports and secures the portable multimedia device. A tilting mechanism at the releasable attachment point adjusts the viewing angle, and latitudinal adjustment is accomplished by manually adjusting the tray assembly in an axial direction with respect to the latitudinal adjustment plate via an adjustment knob and guide. When not in use, the entire apparatus can be detached and stowed to the tray assembly via stowing clips.
Abstract: A system and method for a cigarette smoke filtration device that reduces second-hand smoke and holds a lit cigarette while being smoked or sitting idle. The device somewhat resembles a bifurcated cigarette holder wherein a lit cigarette is placed within the device while being smoked or sitting idle. Once inside, the device draws the smoke from the cigarette through a filtering system reducing offending odors as well as most of the harmful gases from cigarette smoke. The filtering system has replaceable filter cartridges. The spent ashes are collected in the device's base which can be emptied as needed.
