  • Patent number: 6374712
Abstract: A side milling cutter with cutting inserts, by which side milling cutter a crank pin can be cut with a single feed motion. The plate-shaped cutting inserts are arranged on the periphery of the side milling cutter alternating between the left and right side in a peripheral direction, and are oriented essentially radially with their cover surfaces in relation to the cutter axis, which cover surfaces contain the tool faces. The cutting inserts are also arranged so as to form a gap on the periphery of the cutter which is so narrow that the length of the arc of action between the point of entry and the point of exit of cutting is greater than the half of the gap of the arrangement of cutting inserts on the periphery of the cutter. The present invention also relates to the configuration of the cutting inserts as indexable inserts which can be used on the left and on the right.

  • Patent number: 6374575
Abstract: A method and an apparatus therefor for stabilizing products in containers in a continuous container flow by stationary, sequential sections by means of overflowing liquid, whereby the sections are graduated with respect to one another in terms of their liquid temperature, and for purposes of efficient liquid recycling are organized in pairs, so that the liquid is transported by overflow among sections, and to set the desired temperature of the overflowing liquid, liquid is added to the liquid being transported, characterized by the fact that the excess liquid in the at least one zone overflows in a cascade fashion from zone to zone of increasing overflow temperature and into liquid reservoirs.

  • Patent number: 6338227
Abstract: A light alloy frame profile system for windows and doors, in particular sliding-swinging door systems with a side piece and at least one movable door leaf, includes a plurality of profiles that are fixed to one another by means of fastening areas. To improve such a frame profile system so that it is substantially aesthetically and functionally uniform, and so that it may be used with simple and material-conserving fabrication methods as well as uniform installation techniques, the fastening area may be realized in the form of a rail that is formed by two hooks and a projection located between them.

  • Patent number: 6338693
Abstract: A pivot-hung door drive system with an electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic drive device that supplies the opening and closing moment required to open and close a connected pivot-hung door panel, whereby an electronic regulation/control system with at least one memory and at least one microprocessor, on the basis of sensor signals, controls the opening or closing moment by means of a gear wheel that is located on an output shaft, which gear wheel is connected by means of a linkage and an actuator arm with the pivot-hung door panel, whereby between the output shaft of the pivot-hung door drive system and the linkage or the actuator arm, there is a device that effects a change in the opening and closing moment over the angle of rotation of the pivot-hung door panel.

  • Patent number: 6316745
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for material transport and/or energy transport by means of electric arc. Measured values are transferred with suppression of disturbances from the HF device (2) without appreciable damping of the HF voltage to the electrode (14). A measurement winding (16) is arranged together with a power winding (8) in such a way that effective suppression of disturbances is achieved. Examples of areas of application are thermal spraying, cutting and welding, in particular mechanized TIG welding, but the invention is principally indicated in cases where a spark is established with HF voltage across a gap filled with a gas or a gas/liquid mixture and where at the same time some parameter has to be measured in connection with the spark gap.

  • Patent number: 6313594
Abstract: A drive system for a partition wall system composed of several individual components which are horizontally movable via rollers or appropriate media at or in a guide rail mounted to a ceiling in a way or technique in which the individual components present separate drive media which convey the corresponding component(s) independently from and/or simultaneously with the other components along the guide rail. A central control unit combined with a microprocessor and several memories is provided and the control unit's output signal transmits data and addresses to all drive media via at least a two-wire connection (databus) simultaneously to activate the individual component's drive media, which allows the individual control and regulation of the individual components and the additional miscellaneous functions for the individual components respectively inside the individual components. Changing of data and addresses is operated by a control terminal.

  • Patent number: 6308360
Abstract: A floor care machine realized in the form of a floor polishing machine contains a driven pad, the height of which pad can be adjusted automatically to adjust the application pressure to take the characteristics of the floor into consideration. For this purpose, between the driving element and the driven element, there is a transmission element which forms a torque regulator. For this purpose, the driven element can be rotated with respect to the driving element opposite to the working direction of rotation and can also be displaced axially, whereby the transmission element with a clamping element automatically regulates the displacement and rotation, thereby acting as a torque regulator to regulate the height of the pad with respect to the floor as a function of the torque.

  • Patent number: 6299709
Abstract: A blank with a closed profile is made of hardenable sheet steel and is hydroformed when hot. The tool is cooled and the blank is heated to a hardening temperature and formed so fast that it will not have time to harden before it contacts the tool and becomes rapidly cooled by the tool and by the liquid fluid so that it hardens. In this simple way, a product of high strength steel can be achieved which has a closed profile and complicated form. The product can be, for example, a bow-formed bumper.
