Abstract: A method and system for decorating includes product categories such as rugs, pillows, lamps, paints, window treatments, wall coverings such as wall papers and trims, artificial flowers, fabric furniture covers and other decorative items. Multiple motif collections are provided, each characterized by a subset of colors or other characteristics that are selected from a master set of colors or characteristics, and at least one other decorative driver such as fabric, pattern, texture or style. Each product is identified with one or more of the collections based on the product color and/or the presents of the other decorative driver. A separate key code mechanism, such as a hang tag and/or a product label or packaging for each motif collection, has an identifier for the subset of colors and the at least one decorative driver for that collection. The key code helps a consumer select those products in each category of interest, that fall within a desired collection.
Abstract: A nanostructured working electrode of an electrochemical sensor wherein the working electrode is composed of a material in the form of a film and is inserted onto the sensor. The electrode can be prepared from materials the use of which was impossible in the working electrodes known in the art (e.g. metals of defined purity). A method of manufacturing of the nanostructured working electrode and an electrochemical sensor containing the nanostructured electrode is disclosed.

Abstract: An arrangement for boosting or igniting a glow discharge plasma for coating workpieces has at least one hollow body of an electrically conductive material formed such that when an electric signal is applied to the hollow body at least in a certain pressure and voltage range, the geometric conditions for the ignition of a discharge in the interior of the hollow body are satisfied. The hollow body has at least one opening through which charge carriers can flow off into the environs of the arrangement in order to ignite and operate the plasma or to boost a plasma existing there. The arrangement has a mechanism which connects the hollow body electrically with the workpieces such that the hollow body is essentially at workpiece potential.

Abstract: By using wavelength division multiplexing technologies, redundant star topology network is constructed on a ring-shaped optical fiber network. Edge-switches 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d are connected to client station groups 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d are connected, respectively. The edge-switches 5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d are connected to edge optical transport device 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d. Core-switches 4a and 4b are connected to a core optical transport device 1. The edge optical transport device 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, and the core optical transport device 1 are connected to a ring-shaped single optical fiber 3. A communication circuit 7 is formed among core optical transport device 1, edge optical transport devices 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d, by using wavelength division multiplexing technologies.
Abstract: A radiofrequency plasma reactor with first and second spaced electrodes has a concave surface facing a substrate supporting surface. A process area between the electrodes has a gas inlet for a process gas. A radiofrequency generator for frequencies greater than 13.56 MHz is connected to an electrode for generating a plasma discharge in and a gas outlet evacuates process gas. A dielectric layer has a convex surface engaging the concave electrode surface and an opposite planar surface. The substrate supporting surface receives a substrate of at least 0.7 m and defines a boundary of the process area to be exposed to the plasma. The dielectric layer is electrically in series with the substrate and plasma discharge and has capacitance per unit surface values which are not uniform for a distribution profile to compensate process non-uniformity along the working surface.
Abstract: A laser scanner apparatus images and/or measures a fluorescent sample on a moveable table. At least one laser and an optical system provide two laser beams at differing wavelengths parallel to the fluorescent sample. A moveable wedge-shaped dichroic mirror deflects the laser beams through an objective toward the sample causing spatial separation of the focal points and two non-parallel emission beams. The emission beams are guided through an optical system to two detectors.

Abstract: A rotational speed superimposing device for a vehicle steering system has an input shaft with an output shaft, which is oriented toward the input shaft in the axial direction thereof, and has a supporting arrangement, which positions the input shaft and the output shaft so that they are at least, in part, rotationally mounted. An auxiliary drive provided with a rotor, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a wave generator, such as an oval disk on whose periphery an external toothed flexible ring is directly or indirectly mounted, this external toothing engaging in an internal gear at least at two opposite peripheral points. The supporting arrangement is fixed to the vehicle body. The output shaft is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the internal gear, and the input shaft is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the external toothed flexible ring. The input shaft and the output shaft are mounted so they freely rotate independently of one another.

Abstract: Prefabricated modular tower of the kind used as a support for wind generators and other applications uses reduced-thickness prefabricated elements which are reinforced with an internal structure of horizontal and vertical stiffeners, preferably made of reinforced concrete. The elements are tensioned both horizontally and vertically by flexible metal cables. The main advantages of the invention are that it enables fast construction of very high towers using a limited number of elements. The elements are not heavy and are easy to transport, all of which leads to savings in manufacturing, transport and installation costs.
