Abstract: The present invention concerns a process for producing thermoplastic resin granules, comprising compression-molding a powdery raw material of a thermoplastic resin, which is obtained by polymerizing a plurality of materials and then drying the obtained polymer by passing the powdery raw material between two rolls arranged parallel with a minute gap therebetween at a temperature of 40° C. or higher, and crushing the obtained compression-molded product into granules having grain diameter of 10 mm or less, wherein concavities are formed all around the rolls so as to be arrayed in a direction inclined relative to axes of the rolls, the concavities each having an elliptical opening of which a major-axis diameter measures 10 mm or less.

The valve comprises an upper surface which can cover the opening, and plural circular protrusions which surround the entire circumference of the opening and can closely contact the circumference of the opening.
Abstract: There is intended to provide a semiconductor integrated circuit device capable of lowering the power consumption during data-write operation, enhancing operation speed, and reducing noises for stable operation. In the semiconductor integrated circuit, an active signal ACT to be inputted to a sense amplifier signal circuit SC1 is latched by a command latch circuit and outputted to a terminal N11. The terminal N11 outputs a control signal EDC1 via a timing adjusting circuit. The control signal EDC1 works to output a sense amplifier activating signal LE via a timing adjusting circuit and output buffer circuit and at the same time, the control signal EDC1 is outputted to a column switch signal circuit CS1. From the Column switch signal circuit CS1, a pulse signal is outputted via input of a control signal ACL, a pulse output circuit, and a terminal N13. In a logical circuit, AND processing is conducted between the pulse signal and an inversion signal of the control signal EDC1.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for rolling a metal product by successive passes into at least one roll stand associated with a calculation unit comprising a computer and a mathematical model for adjusting the rolling load applied by the clamping means. According to the invention, before each pass, the computer associated with the mathematical model determines a predictable variation value of the flow stress of the metal corresponding to the deformation to be realized in the pass considered, while taking into account the evolution, during the rolling operation, of the microcrystalline structure of the metal making up the product to be rolled, and the rolling load to be applied in order to achieve the requested reduction in thickness is calculated before each pass according to the value thus predicted for the flow stress and the evolution of the microcrystalline during the rolling operation.
Abstract: An IrDA modulation/demodulation integrated circuit device designed for use in a portable telephone receives a clock used in a base-band integrated circuit device for processing a base-band signal, and converts the frequency of the received signal by using a PLL circuit 5 to produce a clock. This helps reduce the number of resonators incorporated in the portable telephone, and thereby reduce the cost thereof and the area of the circuit board provided therein.
Abstract: A hot water type first idle control device includes a heating chamber through which cooling water for an engine is allowed to flow, a wax case heated by the heating chamber, and a device housing in which the wax case is accommodated and retained. In the hot water type first idle control device, the heating chamber is integrally defined in the device housing to adjoin the wax case with a partition wall interposed therebetween for separating the heating chamber from the inside of the device housing. Thus, it is possible to effectively heat the wax case by hot water, while preventing the entering of the hot water into the device housing.
Abstract: A method to accurately evaluate a thermal cycle life of an article with a restraint rate as an evaluating parameter without providing a thermal cycle under actual service conditions to the article subjected to the thermal cycle.
Abstract: Between the base plate and the instrument are placed a bridge frame with a supporting point formed on its upper surface to support the instrument and a load-bearing section made with elastically deformable spring material having arc-shaped legs extending from the bridge frame toward the direction opposite to the instrument, while keeping a certain separation in between. Thereby, a weight supporting part that contacts with the bottom end surface of the instrument over a comparatively narrow area in a plane touch, or more preferably, in a point touch or in a line touch, and an absorbing part that absorbs vibrations transmitted from the instrument are made to coexist. Making the legs of the load-bearing section operate as an absorbing part to absorb vibrations not only in the horizontal direction but also in the vertical direction enhances the function of the supporting element to modulate vibrations to an even greater extent.
Abstract: A rolling bearing in which the attainment of excellent current-carrying capability is compatible with cost reduction. The rolling bearing comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements arranged between the inner and outer rings, oil films being interposed between the rolling elements and raceway surfaces of the-rings. Here, the inner raceway surface and the outer raceway surface are made coarser to such a surface roughness (Ra=0.1 &mgr;m or so) that they come into metal contact wit the rolling elements for electric connection.
Abstract: A sliding surface of at least one of sliding members sliding with respect to each other in a sliding direction comprises a protrusion extending along a direction intersecting the sliding direction and fine dimples provided on a surface of the protrusion. In the sliding members, lubricating oil is accumulated in the dimples, and is easily extracted through a drain portion formed by dimple in a running-in operation.
Abstract: A system for controlling an automatic transmission of a vehicle, wherein a pressure to be supplied to the hydraulic clutch of a target gear is determined based on a desired value of acceleration of gravity acting in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and other parameters including an engine torque, thereby decreasing the shift shock effectively, while ensuring to finish the shift within an expected period of time. Moreover, the engine torque is estimated using a parameter indicative of inertia torque used for raising the engine speed. With this, it becomes possible to determine the engine torque inputted to the transmission, thereby decreasing the shift shock more effectively.
Abstract: A telephone stores a plurality of pairs of data in a memory 7, each pair consisting of a caller telephone number received from a telephone number forwarding service, and the time at which the telephone number was received. In response to a first operation, a control unit 1 controls a sequential display of a first display image and a second display image by the display unit using a content of the memory 7. The first display image includes caller telephone numbers and the second display image includes other display content. In response to a second operation, the control unit 1 continuously controls the display of a first display image on the display unit using the content of memory 7 to update caller telephone numbers displayed in the first display image.
Abstract: In a semiconductor storage device, a line of lower-side backing wiring is provided on a line of gate wiring via an insulation layer, and a line of upper-side backing wiring is provided further on the top layer thereof via another insulation layer. Contacts between the gate wiring and upper-side backing wiring are distributed and arranged on two or more different lines extending in a vertical direction with respect to a direction to which the gate wiring extends, and any contacts adjacent to each other of the contacts are arranged on different lines. The lower-side backing wiring passes through between the adjacent contacts.

Abstract: A state of charge (SOC) measuring apparatus for a battery device is provided capable of detecting accurate state of charge based on integrating charge and discharge current. The state of charge measuring apparatus carries out data substitution for displaying and controlling state of charge depending on the upper limit SOC or lower limit SOC. The integrated SOC obtained by integrating charge and discharge currents is corrected into the corrected SOC by the incremented corrected value incremented at every data substitution time. The state of charge measuring apparatus corrects the integrated SOC at every data substitution such that the difference between the integrated SOC and the corrected SOC becomes larger, and when the integrated SOC is smaller than the upper limit SOC and larger than the lower limit SOC, the corrected SOC is displayed on the display portion as the displaying and controlling SOC.
Abstract: The function of an electronic device (e.g., a portable personal computer) (5) is extended when the electronic device is mounted on an accessory (1). An operation lever (37) attached to the accessory (1) is operated to separate the electronic device (5) from the accessory (1).
