  • Patent number: 6336404
Abstract: A processing device in a printing apparatus includes a developer feed roller partly immersed in a developer stored in a developer tank, a fixer feed roller partly immersed in a fixer stored in a fixer tank, and a drive mechanism for rotating the developer feed roller and fixer feed roller. Each of the developer feed roller and fixer feed roller has positioning members mounted on opposite end portions thereof to position the surface of the roller at a slight distance from an image area of a printing plate. Thus, the developer feed roller feeds the developer to the image area without contacting the image area, while the fixer feed roller feeds the fixer to the image area without contacting the image area.

  • Patent number: 6337550
Abstract: A submergence detection sensor installed in a vehicle, having a control circuit board mounted on the vehicle for controlling the operation of a power window which is opened/closed by an electric motor. A pair of pad-like electrodes are installed on the control circuit board which are electrically conductive upon entry of water to generate a leak current therebetween and a submergence detection circuit is connected to one of the electrodes to receive the leak current and to compare with a threshold value to discriminate whether the vehicle submerges into water. A slot is provided in a gap between the electrodes which penetrates the control circuit board such that water present at the gap is discharged from the control circuit board, thereby enabling to effect submergence detection when the vehicle, in fact, submerges in water, while without making false detections owing to water condensation on the control circuit board or migration occurring therein.

  • Patent number: 6337563
Abstract: A DC-DC converter generally includes a supply circuit, a charge circuit, and a control unit connected to the charge circuit. The charge circuit receives the input current and supplying a charge current to the battery. The control unit controls the charge current according to the results of comparisons between various currents and voltages and corresponding threshold levels. The control unit, which may be constructed on a single-chip semiconductor substrate, includes a differential charge controller, a charge current controller, a charge voltage controller, and a dynamic charge controller. These elements respectively compare the input current, the charge current, the charge voltage and an input voltage from the external DC power supply with a threshold values and control the charge current and charge voltage according to a result of the comparisons.

  • Patent number: 6337833
Abstract: One aspect of the present invention is that, when the memory is in the non-power-down state, the supply of clock signals to the data output circuit is limited to the read status after the reception of a read command, and no clock signal supply is performed when either the active status or the write status is in effect. In the best aspect, furthermore, in the read status after the reception of a read command, the supply of clock signals to the data output circuit starts after a number of clock signals corresponding to a set CAS latency following the read command, and stops after a number of clock signals corresponding to a set burst length, after the output of the read out data from the data output circuit starts. Accordingly, even in the non-power-down state, clock signals are only supplied during the time required for the read out data to be actually output from the data output circuit to the outside, whereby it is possible to reduce the number of clock signal supply actions that require large current drive.

  • Patent number: 6336373
Abstract: A drivig rotary shaft and a follower rotary shaft are rotatably carried in a housing of a rotary solenoid. Operating members fixed to the rotary shafts by clips are operatively connected to each other by gears, and a locked member is locked non-movably by locking surfaces formed at tip ends of the operating members. This makes it unnecessary to provide a device for converting a rectilinear motion to a rotational motion such as a pin and an elongated bore in a path of transmission of a driving force from the rotary solenoid to the operating members. Therefore, not only the number of parts and the number of assembling steps are reduced, but also the number of slide areas, where a friction resistance and looseness are liable to be produced, is reduced, thereby enabling a noiseless smooth operation.

  • Patent number: 6337819
Abstract: A step-down circuit 10A comprises a voltage follower circuit 20A for receiving a voltage VG, to be measured, of an internal circuit, activated in response to activation of a test mode signal TM, and providing its output to an on-chip pad 16A. Although a large current flows through an output buffer circuit 22 of the voltage follower circuit 20A compared with that of an output buffer circuit 15 of a voltage control circuit 12, this large current does not flow when the signal TM is inactive. The voltage follower circuit having a comparatively large area on chip can commonly be used with a selection circuit for selecting one of nodes with voltages to be measured. In a case of SDRAM, the signal TM may be an output of the command decoder and a selection control signal may be an address signal.
