  • Patent number: 6281663
Abstract: A reduction in charging time is achieved while suppressing any deterioration in the lifetime of the battery. A battery temperature increase margin is determined from the battery temperature at charge commencement and the upper limit value of the battery temperature. Moreover, the target charging capacity is determined from the initial state of charge at charge commencement and the target state of charge at charge completion. Furthermore, a value of an upper limit of the battery temperature increase is determined from these. Then, the battery charge current maximum value is set by map referral based on the value of an upper limit of the battery temperature increase such that the temperature of the battery during charging does not exceed the upper limit value. A driver performs the battery charging using a charge current value that has been set on the basis of the battery charge maximum value.

  • Patent number: 6276131
Abstract: While the amount of intake air introduced into an internal combustion engine is being increased by an intake air quantity control unit, an ignition timing control unit manipulates the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine to converge the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to a target rotational speed according to a feedback control process (PI control process). The ignition timing control unit has a function to vary the feedback gain of the feedback control process depending on the ignition timing, such that the feedback gain is smaller as the ignition timing being manipulated is more retarded.

  • Patent number: 6275086
Abstract: A clock signal generator which is particularly useful for a double data rate SDRAM (DDR-SDRAM) includes two or more clock signal input buffers and an enable signal input buffer. The clock signal generator generates internal clock signals that fluctuate at substantially different timings, yet the relationship between the internal clock signals with respect to validation and invalidation timing is constant. A latch circuit latches an enable signal from the enable signal buffer in accordance with a first internal clock signal from a first one of the clock signal buffers. A first enable signal connected to the latch circuit holds the latched enable signal in accordance with the first internal clock signal. A second enable circuit receives the first enable signal and the first internal clock signal and generates a second enable signal used to activate the clock signal buffers.
