Abstract: The present invention relates to a first group of novel oligonucleotides, here identified as “Genomic Address Messenger” or “GAM” oligonucleotide, and a second group of novel operon-like polynucleotides, here identified as “Genomic Record” or “GR” polynucleotide. GAM oligonucleotides selectively inhibit translation of known “target” genes, many of which are known to be involved in various diseases. Nucleic acid molecules are provided respectively encoding 122,764 GAM oligonucleotides and their respective precursors, and 18602 GR polynucleotides, as are vectors and probes both comprising the nucleic acid molecules, and methods and systems for detecting GAM oligonucleotides and GR polynucleotides and specific functions and utilities thereof, for detecting expression of GAM oligonucleotides and GR polynucleotides, and for selectively enhancing and selectively inhibiting translation of the respective target genes thereof.

Abstract: A markup language parser processes markup language data and provides processed data to an application. A reader is configured to tokenize the markup language data and store resulting tokens in a buffer associated with the reader. A scanner is configured to create string objects based on the tokens and to provide the created string objects to an application. The scanner is further configured to determine a need by the application for the string objects. For each at least some of the string objects created by the scanner, the scanner is configured to selectively create those string objects based on a determination of the need by the application for the string objects.
Abstract: A method and system for auxiliary data detection. Data is received on a hand-held device from a display of a signal on a monitor. The signal is visually displayed on the monitor at a frequency. A modulated video signal is received on the hand-held device from a display device. The modulated video signal contains auxiliary data modulated within a video signal in a substantially invisible way. The modulated video signal is demodulated to obtain the auxiliary data. At least one of the data or the auxiliary data is processed to identify a promotional opportunity available through the hand-held device. The user of the hand-held device is notified of availability of the promotional opportunity through the hand-held device.

Abstract: A road cone includes: a hollow truncated conical body having a top open end defining a top opening; a power supplying unit mounted detachably in the truncated conical body and accessible through the top opening; a cap mounted on the top open end of the truncated conical body and covering the top opening of the truncated conical body; and a light emitting unit mounted in the truncated conical body and connected electrically to the power supplying unit so as to be powered by the power supplying unit to generate light inside the truncated conical body.
Abstract: A miniature electrically powered massage vibrator includes an outermost shell slideably holding a vibrating body, i.e., a vibration generator. The vibrating body contains a power source of button-type battery cells for powering a motor of the vibration generator encased inside the body, and a power switching mechanism. Sliding movement of the outermost shell relative to the vibrating body provides the switching on/off functions of the electric power. The massage vibrator is useful for sexual assistance or marital aid or therapeutic use.
Abstract: A code, which may be a post-link binary or a pre-link object file, can be transformed to optimize code fragments that implement loading a constant from memory. A constant loading code fragment includes address computing operations that compute (or copy) an address representation of a constant for consumption by a memory access operation, and the memory access operation that loads the constant. Information from control flow analysis, data flow analysis, and binary structure/configuration analysis are examined to identify code fragments of a code that implement constant loading. A tool transforms the code to convert the identified code fragments. To optimize, the tool may convert operations, eliminate operations, convert indirect calls to direct calls, inline functions called indirectly, eliminate unused constant data, modify relocations, etc. This optimization can also be applied recursively.

Abstract: A follower shaft is rotatably supported coaxially with a driving shaft. An inner rotary permanent magnet having poles in a radial direction is fixed around an outer circumference of the end of the follower shaft. On the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical coupling, an outer rotary permanent magnet is fixed such that opposite poles face each other between the inner rotary permanent magnet and the outer rotary permanent magnet. A fixed permanent magnet is fixed such that like poles face each other between the fixed permanent magnet and the inner rotary permanent magnet. Thus, rotation of the driving shaft is transmitted to the follower shaft without contact.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a tool and apparatus for forming a moldable material into a formed product having a desired shape, and optionally having a pouch for inserting pills, vitamins, and the like. The tool comprises a sleeve with a concentric insert, with a gap between the two for directing compressed air to eject the formed product from the tool. Exemplary apparatus using the tool and an associated method are also provided.

Abstract: Techniques and systems for providing services to a mobile device allow settings on the mobile device to be provisioned over the air. In response to a request for mobile service subscription options received from the mobile device, data relating to mobile service subscription options, for selection by a user of the mobile device, may be sent to the mobile device over a wireless communication path. A selection of one or more subscription options may be received from the mobile device over the wireless communication path, and a service corresponding to the selected subscription options may be activated in response to the selection. Settings associated with the selected subscription options may be downloaded over the air to the mobile device, which may store the settings to enable the mobile device to access the subscription.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer systems and program products, for searching for mobile content. A method includes receiving, via a user interface, at a computer system independent of the mobile device, information identifying the mobile device to receive computer data; receiving, at the computer system, information identifying the computer data to be downloaded to the mobile device; using the computer system to search computer data offerings from mobile device content providers for the computer data; and wirelessly transmitting to the mobile device data corresponding to a search result. Another method includes an application, on a mobile device, querying a computer system independent of the mobile device for a result of a search for the computer data, and causing the downloading of the computer data.
Abstract: An application compiled to a binary executable according to a first set of binary interface rules has selected caller/callee pairs that present parameter passing improvement possibilities modified from compliance with the first set of binary interface rules to compliance with a second set of binary interface rules to improve the efficiency of parameter passing, such as by reducing the number of instructions used to pass the parameters. A binary executable search engine searches the binary executable to locate functions having parameter passing improvement possibilities. Identified caller/callee function pairs are updated with a function modifier to pass the parameters more efficiently. Selected of the identified callee functions are cloned so that a cloned function is modified instead of the original function, thus leaving the original function to pass parameters with functions beyond the view of the binary executable search engine.
Abstract: A system and method for selectively communicating data from a remote facility to a central computing device via one or more communication networks and/or protocols. Measurement data for a particular operation is collected and stored by a field device at the remote facility. The field device compares the collected measurement data to stored threshold data to detect an alarm event or transfer event. If an alarm event is detected, the RTU transfers an alarm message to a user via a first communication network. If a transfer event is detected, the RTU transfers a transfer message to the user via a different communication network. If a no-event is detected, the field device continues to collect and store measurement data for the particular operation.
