Abstract: A system for collecting, verifying, and managing identity data, skill data, qualification data, certification data, and licensure data of emergency responders. The system trusted verification of identity, skills, qualifications, certifications, and licensure, and disseminates information specific or related to identity, skills, qualifications, certifications, and licensure at the scene of an emergency. The system includes information collection devices, data storage media, information retrieval devices, and information management devices. The information collected, managed, and disseminated may include identity information, medical information, skills information, qualification information, certification information, licensure information. Data in the system is stored in multiple formats, allowing for the retrieval of trusted information in an environment that is part of a network or devoid of network connectivity.

Abstract: Correlating profile data facilitates sophisticated code optimization. Going beyond one to one relationships between code execution hindrances and single code behavior attributes provides insight into code behavior at a finer level of granularity. The capability to aggregate profile data based on multiple code behavior attributes and filter based on instances thereof, allows code optimization decisions to be made based on presentation of profile data from various perspectives. Profile data, which includes code behavior attributes correlated with code execution hindrances, is aggregated based at least in part on a first code behavior attribute. Code behavior attributes include one or more of memory references, memory reference objects, functions, time ranges, processors, processes, threads, and source-level data objects. The aggregated profile data is filtered based on an instance of the first code behavior attribute.

Abstract: A reusable sanitary valve assembly with a releasable cap or cover that disengages from the valve indicating an over-pressure situation has occurred, the cap or cover is capable of being reset, and once it is known that gas, liquid or other contaminants have possibly entered the valve following an over-pressure situation, the interior of the valve can be inspected by removing a portion of the valve while the valve remains sealed on a pressurized substrate and, if the interior of the valve is contaminated, the interior of the valve can be cleaned and closed without unseating the valve.

Abstract: A lamp unit is provided having polymer electrical conductors adhered to a non-conductive substrate in which adjacent conductors present a gap therebetween for securing a light radiating device within the gap the conductors of one embodiment having raised abutments formed in the conductors at the gap for capture of a light radiating device therebetween, such as an LED in said gap to hold the light device between the abutments to secure the light device in the lamp and power the light device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a moist pet treat and a method of making the pet treat. More particularly, the invention relates to a moist pet treat comprising an animal by-product selected from the group consisting of a snout, ear, lung, heart, brain, cartilage, organ tissue, muscle tissue, and bone tissue and a humectant.
Abstract: The present invention provides compounds that have motifs that target the compounds to cells that express integrins. In particular, the compounds have peptides with one or more RD motifs conjugated to an agent selected from an imaging agent and a targeting agent. The compounds may be used to detect, monitor and treat a variety of disorders mediated by integrins.
Abstract: A simulation apparatus and method is provided for simulating complex high speed interconnects for which closed forms of the S-parameter are incorporated. Differential transmission lines are represented in a causal manner analytically using the 4-port S-parameter without concerns of passivity and stability. Difficult discontinuities of interconnect such as differential vias are represented in closed form and the present invention allows those interconnects to be characterized by 4-port S-parameter measurements or simulation. A complete method of combining causal transmission line models with discontinuities in cascade is provided.
Abstract: An information fulfillment system provides information to a caller having a wireless communication device. Upon manual or automatic input of access codes to the wireless communication device, the caller's identity and the input access code are verified. Thereafter, the call is connected through the wireless network to the system messaging or fulfillment center for automatic or live-operator delivery of the requested information. Automatic verification, connection, and billing modification processes are provided for implementation of the system and method.

Abstract: A constrained random test bench methodology employing an instruction abstraction layer. The instruction abstraction layer includes an instruction streamer for generating random test instruction sequences that preserve instruction order dependencies and randomly selecting data values from a valid range of data values. Multiple instruction streamers may be employed to simulate interrupt handlers and other functional design units sharing a control command bus. A priority scheduler sequences the instruction sequences generated by multiple instruction streamers based on a specified priority scheme.
Abstract: Disclosed are nucleic acid molecules, and methods of their use, which have a specific structure including a double helical domain and a G-quadruplex domain physically connected by a linker domain which may be nucleosidic or non-nucleosidic. These aptamers demonstrate potent inhibition of phylogenetically diverse primate lentiviral reverse transcriptases, which effect is largely independent of aptamer sequence provided that the aptamer has the specified structure.

Abstract: A method for controlling fire ants is described, which includes applying a silver-containing composition to an area infested by fire ants or threatened by an infestation. The composition is applied to the area and reduces or eliminates the colony within a period of about two to four weeks and prevents fire ant re-infestation for a period of about six months to one year.

Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions and methods for the early detection or monitoring of neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders including Alzheimer's disease. The invention provides biomarkers based on lipid profiles of biological samples and methods for using the biomarkers for the detection of neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for expanding a population of chondrocytes that maintains chondrocyte phenotype during the expansion by culturing the population in a defined serum-free expansion medium containing one or more cytokines and under low attachment conditions. The method further solves diffusion problems during the subsequent stage of extracellular matrix production by use of a perforated polycarbonate substrate that results in a randomly organized cultured neocartilage tissue. Chondrocytes expanded and cultured in this manner can be used in various medical applications to repair cartilaginous tissues that have been injured by trauma or disease.
