  • Patent number: 7302082
Abstract: A method for detecting motion pixels in image includes the following steps. The difference image between current image and background image is firstly obtained. Then, a binarization threshold from the distribution of all absolute pixel values in the difference image is found. All or part of the pixel values, in difference image, whose absolute values are smaller than or equal to the binarization threshold is used to compensate the effect of illumination change and to obtain an updated difference image. The updated difference image is then binarized, and the binarized updated difference image whose values are high are determined motion pixels.

  • Patent number: 7300851
Abstract: A fabrication process for a silicon-on-insulator (SOI) device includes defining an active region in an 501 substrate, doping the entire active region with an impurity of a given conductive type, masking a main part of the active region, and doping the peripheral parts of the active region at least two additional times with an impurity of the same conductive type, preferably using different doping parameters each time. The additional, doping creates a channel stop in the peripheral parts of the active region, counteracting the tendency of the transistor threshold voltage to be lowered in the peripheral parts of the active region, thereby mitigating or eliminating the unwanted subthreshold hump often found in the transistor operating characteristics of, for example, fully depleted SOI devices.

Abstract: An expansion structure of memory module slots is provided. A circuit switch board and a substrate are disposed on a motherboard, wherein a plurality of first memory module slots is disposed on the motherboard, at least one second memory module slot is disposed on one side of the substrate, and a plurality of third memory module slots is disposed on the other side of the substrate. The third memory module slots are electrically connected to the second memory module slot, and two ends of the circuit switch board are plugged into one of the first memory module slots and the second memory module slot. When memory modules are plugged in the third memory module slots, the memory modules are electrically connected to the first memory module slots respectively through the circuit switch board and then transmit data and signals with the motherboard.

  • Patent number: 7298894
Abstract: A color image conversion method and the associated system are disclosed. An allowed error range of pixels is determined. After an image input device reads a document, the pixel information and the pixel allowed error range are compared to determine whether the document is a color or black-and-white (BW) one. If it is a BW document, the image file is directly converted into a monochromic and grey-level one and stored in 8-bit or even 1-bit format, thereby reducing the storage space occupied by the image file.

  • Patent number: 7299400
Abstract: An error correction circuit includes a selected-bit reverse circuit, an ECC circuit, a checkbit generation circuit, an ECC data register, a bit-comparing circuit, and an address memory unit. The selected-bit reverse circuit includes memory data and check data from the memory unit. The ECC circuit corrects a one-bit error. The checkbit generation circuit generates checkbits. The ECC data register stores the corrected data and the checkdata. The bit-comparing circuit compares each bit between the output data A from the selected-bit reverse circuit and the output data A? from the ECC data register. The address memory unit stores an address corresponding to the memory data when the bit-comparing circuit detects a discrepancy among the data A and the data A?. The error data memory unit writes the discrepancy information at the bit-location. The data OR circuit generates the first signal.

  • Patent number: 7298354
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) with improved motion image quality. The LCD displays a frame during a frame time. A pixel of the LCD has a first switch and a second switch. At a first time point, the first switch is turned on by a video scan line, and a video data signal is transmitted to the pixel through a video data line, which make the pixel have first luminance intensity. At a second time point, the second switch is turned on by a particular color signal scan line, and a particular color data signal is transmitted to the pixel through a particular color signal data line, which make the pixel have second luminance intensity smaller than the first luminance intensity. A time interval between the second time point and the first time point is smaller than the frame time and the image dragging phenomenon is avoided.

  • Patent number: 7297576
Abstract: A method for fabricating a thin film transistor (TFT) display is provided, wherein the processes of a liquid crystal substrate and an organic thin film transistor (OTFT) substrate are separated. The fabrication of liquid crystal substrate employs the technology of polymer encapsulated liquid crystal molecule, and leaves the polymeric layer as a substrate using a sacrificial layer, so as to improve the flexibility. And the TFT substrate has a high adhesive polymeric protective layer provided on its surface, so as to combine the fabricated TFT substrate and the liquid crystal substrate by laminating. Thereby, the processes of the liquid crystal substrate and the TFT substrate will not affect each other, to improve the process yield and meet the demand for the variety of products.

  • Patent number: 7298630
Abstract: A coupling mechanism mainly includes a coupling member and two bucking blades. The coupling member has two anchor ends on two sides to anchor a plugging main board on the coupling member, and a groove on an upper side and a lower side, to hold the bucking blades. The bucking blades are squeezed and deformed when the coupling member is moved and latched on a coupling interface of an electronic device to fill the tolerance between the two, thus can prevent electromagnetic waves from leaking out. The two anchor ends are made of metal and can also prevent the electromagnetic waves from leaking out from two sides. The coupling mechanism solves the interference problem during assembly occurring to conventional coupling mechanisms that use annular conductive-foamed plastics. The cost of the coupling mechanism also decreases.

  • Patent number: 7292017
Abstract: Switching elements M1, M2, M3 are connected in series between the positive and negative lines carrying DC current supplied through a rectifier circuit 2 from an AC power supply 1 or directly supplied from a DC power source. The switching elements M1, M2, M3 are on/off controlled by a high-frequency signal. An inductor L1 and a capacitor C1 are inserted between a connection node a and a load terminal c. An inductor L2 and a capacitor C2 are inserted between a connection node b and a load terminal d. The phases of on/off of the switching elements M1, M3 are the same, and the phase of on/off of the switching element M2 is opposite to them. Without using any transformer, not only insulation against DC but insulation against AC is adequately ensured.
