Abstract: A digital image composition method is adapted to eliminate a ghost image produced by a digital image-capturing apparatus due to handshakes in shooting. The method includes the steps. In a pre-shooting process, a base image and a comparison image are respectively captured. A base pixel is selected from the base image, and a core window is set with the base pixel at the center. A comparison pixel is selected from the comparison image, and a search window is set with the comparison pixel at the center. Each area of the search window is compared through the core window, and an absolute error sum value between the base image and the comparison image is calculated. It is determined how to change the brightness of the base pixel according to the normalized region difference value. The above steps are repeated to adjust each pixel in the base image.
Abstract: Provided are a method of adjusting a PCS threshold in a wireless network, and a terminal apparatus for the wireless network. The method and the apparatus determines whether to adjust the PCS threshold to use a shared channel for transmitting data in a wireless network based on a congestion status of the shared channel, and adjusts the PCS threshold based on a packet loss measured for a predetermined period of time.

Abstract: A method of growing a germanium (Ge) epitaxial thin film having negative photoconductance characteristics and a photodiode using the same are provided. The method of growing the germanium (Ge) epitaxial thin film includes growing a germanium (Ge) thin film on a silicon substrate at a low temperature, raising the temperature to grow the germanium (Ge) thin film, and growing the germanium (Ge) thin film at a high temperature, wherein each stage of growth is performed using reduced pressure chemical vapor deposition (RPCVD). The three-stage growth method enables formation of a germanium (Ge) epitaxial thin film characterized by alleviated stress on a substrate, a lowered penetrating dislocation density, and reduced surface roughness.

Abstract: An inflation device includes a central tube, a first mounting unit mounted onto an outside of a reception end of the central tube and a second unit connected to a connection portion on the other end of the central tube. The first mounting unit includes a first casing and an end cap, and the reception end includes a valve mouth and a core tube received therein. The second mounting unit includes inner threads that are connected with the connection portion. A groove is defined in the second mounting unit and an O-ring is engaged with the groove. The first and second mounting units can be connected with an American style tire valve and a French style tire valve, respectively. The first and second mounting units each have outer threads with the same diameter so as to be connected with a tire pump.
Abstract: The semiconductor device according to the present invention includes: a semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type made of SiC having an Si surface; a gate trench dug down from the surface of the semiconductor layer; a gate insulating film formed on a bottom surface and a side surface of the gate trench so that the ratio of the thickness of a portion located on the bottom surface to the thickness of a portion located on the side surface is 0.3 to 1.0; and a gate electrode embedded in the gate trench through the gate insulating film.
Abstract: A decoding system generates a predicted image, receives error correcting information encoding an original image, and uses the predicted image and the error correcting information to carry out a multi-stage decoding process that reconstructs the original image by correcting prediction errors in the predicted image. This process uses correlation information representing an assumed correlation between the predicted image and the original image. As the decoding process proceeds, the correlation information is updated to reflect assumed or inferred changes in the correlation between the predicted image and the original image. Updating the correlation information permits more efficient coding by enabling the original image to be reconstructed to an acceptable level of image quality with less error correcting information.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a droplet jetting apparatus using electrostatic force, a manufacturing method thereof and an ink providing method thereof. The droplet jetting apparatus using electrostatic force includes a lower electrode unit in which a nozzle and a lower electrode positioned in the nozzle equipped in the upper part of a first substrate, and an ink inflow channel equipped in the lower part of the first substrate are integrally formed; an upper electrode unit having an upper electrode formed on the top surface of a second substrate and an ink discharge hole formed by being penetrated to the upper electrode from the bottom surface of the second substrate; and a bonding layer for bonding the lower electrode unit and the upper electrode unit with each other so that the nozzle is vertically aligned with the ink discharge hole.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printer in which particular information is set to designate the printer is a qualified printer, and a host device for transmitting print information created by a particular application to the printer. The particular application has an information adding unit that adds information to the print information. The printer has a decision unit that decides whether the information added to the print information matches the particular information stored in the printer, and a print processing unit that prints the print information only if this is the case. This arrangement enables qualified electronic form data to be printed only by a qualified printer, and a qualified printer to print only qualified electronic form data, without requiring significant modifications of existing printer programs or electronic form data specifications.

The communication terminal comprises a monaural/stereo conversion portion for converting a monaural voice signal from the voice response unit to a stereo voice signal and a stereo voice outputting portion for outputting a converted stereo voice signal.
Abstract: In an AC motor driving circuit from an AC power supply and a DC power supply, a matrix converter and a power conversion circuit are provided. The matrix converter is connected between an output of the AC power supply and an input of the AC motor. In the power conversion circuit, switches back-to-back connected to diodes, and bidirectional switches are series-connected, respectively. Connection junctions between the switches and the bidirectional switches are connected to the input phases of the AC motor, respectively. The other terminal of each switch is connected to one terminal of the DC power supply while the other terminal of each bidirectional switch is connected to the other terminal of the DC power supply. In this manner, the number of switches through which electric power passes at the time of operation is reduced so that loss can be reduced. Accordingly, power conversion efficiency can be improved.
Abstract: A driving apparatus having driving circuits formed to correspond to driven circuits arranged on a circuit board. Each driving circuit includes a driving control unit for driving the corresponding driven circuit, a reference voltage generation unit for generating a reference voltage according to a temperature of the corresponding driven circuit, a control voltage generation unit for generating, based on the reference voltage supplied from the reference voltage generation unit, a control voltage for driving the corresponding driven circuit, the control voltage generation unit supplying the generated control voltage to the driving control unit, a switch device formed between the control voltage generation unit and the reference voltage generation unit, and a switch control unit for driving the switch device based on an inputted control signal. The control voltage generation unit is connected to the reference voltage generation unit of another of the driving circuits via the switch device.

Abstract: In a telecommunications network system in which two translators are placed for the conversion of IP version 4 (IPv4)-version 6 (IPv6)-IPv4, one translator converts an IPv4 packet to an IPv6 packet by adding a prefix obtained from a prefix management server managing prefixes to an address contained in an IPv4 packet received from an IPv4 terminal and also converts an IPx6 packet to an IPv4 packet by removing a prefix from the address contained in the IPx6 packet received from the translator. According to the conversion table, the other translator converts the IPv6 packet received from the one translator to an IPv4 packet and an IPv4 packet received from the IPv4 server to an IPv6 packet, thus enhancing the transfer efficiency in the IPv6-IPv4 conversion network.
Abstract: A electromagnetic relay in which bad electrical contact and failure of operation are prevented even when shavings are produced while an iron core is press-fitted into and mounted on a base. The electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnetic block supported by press-fitting both ends of an iron core of the electromagnetic block into an upper surface of a base and open or close a contact by a movable iron piece rotated by magnetization or demagnetization of the iron core with a coil, where shaving receptacles are made by forming separating ribs adjacent to at least one side of press-fit projections that are formed in press-fit concave portions provided on the upper surface of the base.

Abstract: A fixing device includes a heater, first and second pressure-applying members, a belt support member, a fixing belt, a contact member and a temperature detector. The fixing belt is entrained about the heater, the first pressure-applying member and the belt support member. The second pressure-applying member opposes the first pressure-applying member through the fixing belt. The contact member, which extends in the width direction of the fixing belt, is in contact with an inner surface of the fixing belt. Abstract: An entirely integrated EMI filter is based on a flexible multi-layer strip material. An EE or EI core comprises two side pillars and one middle pillar and forms a closed magnetic circuit. The middle pillar has an air gap. A first winding and a second winding respectively are wound around the two side pillars in a same winding direction. The middle pillar is wound with a third winding and a fourth winding, or with only a fifth winding. Passive components (e.g., all passive components) of the EMI filter are integrated into one core so that in its differential mode, insertion loss is significantly reduced, the size and volume are reduced, and the distribution constant of the EMI filter has less impact on the filter's performance.
