Abstract: Provided is a field emission device. The field emission device includes an insulated cathode substrate facing an anode substrate, a plurality of cathodes arranged on the cathode substrate and separated from each other, and an emitter formed on each of the cathodes. In order to prevent accumulation of charges on an exposed area of the cathode substrate between the cathodes due to electrons discharged from the emitter, the distance between the cathodes is equal to or smaller than a first threshold value, and the distance from the emitter to the end of the cathode is equal to or greater than a second threshold value. Accordingly, in the field emission device in which a plurality of cathodes are separated from each other on the same plane, it is possible to prevent abnormal field emission and arc generation due to accumulated charges between the cathodes, thereby performing stable operation.

Abstract: A magnetic transfer device and method are provided. A magnetic field generating structure comprises a pair of permanent magnets connected to a return yoke. Respective magnetic poles of the magnets, of a different polarity from one another, oppose each other with a conjoined body disposed therebetween. The magnetic field generating structure is moved from a position at an outer periphery of the conjoined body, to a position at an inner periphery of the conjoined body, and then moved from the position at the inner periphery across the conjoined body toward the outer periphery, to a position outside of the conjoined body. The return yoke is positioned at a radially more outward position, toward the outer periphery, than are the permanent magnets. The movement of the magnetic field generating structure is carried out while maintaining a constant distance from the rotating conjoined body.

Abstract: In a message authentication system in which a message is transmitted from a message transmission apparatus 100 to individual message reception apparatuses 120 through wireless communication connecting the message transmission apparatus 100 with the message reception apparatuses 120 via intermediary message reception apparatuses and the message is authenticated at each message reception apparatus, the message transmission apparatus first transmits an electronic signature to each message reception apparatus as a message transmission notification and then transmits the message and an authentication key to the message reception apparatus after allowing a predetermined time lag. Thus, the message reception apparatus does not need to hold the message before the authentication key is published (FIG. 7).

Abstract: Provided is an SPDT switch having improved isolation characteristics in an RF band. The SPDT switch includes a serial switching unit, a current sink unit, a switching isolation unit, and a DC blocking unit. The serial switching unit includes first and second HBTs. The current sink unit sinks a current flowing from a common input terminal to each of first and second output terminals of the serial switching unit. The switching isolation unit causes an unselected output terminal of the first and second output terminals to be electrically isolated from the common input terminal when the serial switching unit operates. The DC blocking unit blocks a DC between the first HBT and the first output terminal and a DC between the second HBT and the second output terminal. Accordingly, it is possible to provide better insertion-loss and isolation characteristics in higher frequency bands than typical switches.
