Abstract: A broadband antenna includes a coupling loop and a number of radiation bodies. The coupling loop is electrically coupled to a chip and the chip records several pieces of data. The radiation bodies respectively form a number of resonance loops with the coupling loop for providing a number of resonance frequencies of the broadband antenna. The coupling loop can feed in signals for reading data in the chip according to the resonance frequencies.

Abstract: A semiconductor chip in which a through hole penetrating through its surface and reverse surface is formed in a scribe line region in the vicinity of an active region where a functional device is formed, and a conductive member is arranged in the through portion. The through portion may be a groove opening sideward on a sidewall surface of the semiconductor chip. The through portion may be a through hole blocked from a side part of the semiconductor chip. The semiconductor chip may further include wiring for electrically connecting an internal circuit formed in the active region and the conductive member to each other.
Abstract: A portable electronic device includes a body, a signal transmitter/receiver. The body includes a display which has a first display mode and a second display mode. The signal transmitter/receiver has a ball spiral, a first ball and a second ball. The signal transmitter/receiver is pivotally connected to the body of the portable electronic device. The signal transmitter/receiver can be rotated around a rotation axis defined by the first ball and the ball spiral to a first signal receiving position corresponding to the first display mode, and can be rotated around a rotation axis defined by the second ball and the ball spiral to a second signal receiving position corresponding to the second display mode. Therefore, signals can be better transmitted or received when the display is in a given display mode.

Abstract: A folding protective cover structure is used to cover and protect a heat-conductive medium disposed on the bottom surface of a heat sink device. An unfoldable plate body is employed and has a hollow portion, a folding portion, and an adhesive area; wherein the hollow portion is used for surrounding the heat-conductive medium with a frame-fixing plate extending from its edge, which is folded towards an opposite direction of the heat-conductive medium, so as to keep an upright state; the folding portion is folded towards the hollow portion, so that the frame-fixing plate passes through the folding portion to clip and fix the folding portion, thus forming an accommodating space for protecting the heat-conductive medium; and the adhesive area is located at the edge of the hollow portion, facing the surface of the heat sink device, for adhering and securing the plate body to the heat sink device.
Abstract: A high frequency signal detection circuit includes an input terminal for a high frequency signal to be detected, a switch transferring the high frequency signal as intermittent ringing signal to a first node in response to a pulse signal whose frequency is lower than that of the high frequency signal, a transistor amplifying the signal at the first node, and outputting to a second node, a bias generator generating a bias voltage by which the transistor is operated in its weak inversion region, a resonant circuit outputting the bias voltage to the first node, and resonating the high frequency signal, a capacitor removing a high frequency component of the signal at the second node; and a judgment circuit judging whether or not the high frequency signal is inputted by detecting the signal at the second node, which has the same frequency as the pulse signal.
Abstract: The testing apparatus tests a steering apparatus including a torque sensor which detects a steering torque, a steering actuator which applies a steering force to a steering mechanism, and a controller which controls the steering actuator based on an output of the torque sensor. The apparatus includes a test signal generating unit which generates a test signal of a sine sweep waveform simulating an output signal of the torque sensor, a driving signal generating unit which generates a driving signal according to the test signal generated by the test signal generating unit and supplies the driving signal to the steering actuator, and a torque signal monitoring unit which acquires a torque signal outputted from the torque sensor.
Abstract: A dead pixel real-time detection method for image applicable in a digital camera is provided. The method is utilized to achieve the real-time detection of dead pixels in an image, upon obtaining the image by the digital camera, thus locating the dead pixel desired to be repaired. Through the real-time detection, the large amount of manpower and working-hours spent on detection and correction of the dead pixels of digital cameras on a production line can be saved, and the large amount of storage space occupied by the position information of the dead pixels in a digital camera can also be reduced. More importantly, in the detection process, the dead pixels can be determined more accurately through dynamically adjusting a threshold value as based on the different attributes of the various images, thus achieving the raising of the quality of the images significantly.
Abstract: A screwless fixing assembly disposed on a frame is provided, which includes a fixed member, a movable member, an elastic member, and a positioning device. The fixed member is fixed on the frame and has an opening form thereon. The movable member is movably disposed to the fixed member and has a pin to pass through a through hole of the frame. The elastic member is provided for pushing the movable member to move away from the frame. The positioning device is disposed on the movable member and protrudes on the fixed member through the opening, for being selectively engaged with the fixed member at a first position and a second position, so as to move the pin to leave or inserted into the through hole. An electronic device is fixed on the other side of the frame by the pin passing through the through hole.
Abstract: An apparatus for generating a 2D spreading code and method for the same are proposed. The apparatus for generating the 2D spreading code includes a column counter, a row counter, a codeword selector, and a logic unit. The logic unit performs logic operations on the output of the column counter, the row counter, and the codeword selector to generate the 2D spreading code of desired order designated by the codeword selector. The 2D spreading code includes 4 2×2 initial matrixes for generating 4i codes for 4i users in the ith order. The apparatus for generating the 2D spreading code according to the present invention is advantageously used in OFDM system to increase the number of subscribers with reduced interference.

Abstract: A semiconductor device and method has trenches for raising reliability. An electrode pad, with a protective film and an interlayer film which form an opening on top, are on a substrate. A rewiring pattern in contact with the electrode pad at this opening is on top of the interlayer film. A trench is etched outside the rewiring pattern. A bump is formed on top of the rewiring pattern. The rewiring pattern and the trench are covered by a sealing film that that exposes the upper end of the bump. An external terminal is formed on top of the bump. The trenches increase contact area and adhesion between the covering film and the sealing film. The rougher the surface of the trench the better the adhesion, which makes the sealing film stick better and the semiconductor device more reliable.
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device includes the steps of: preparing a semiconductor substrate having first and second element forming regions, the first and second element forming regions divided by an element separating insulation film; forming a first gate insulation film on the semiconductor substrate; forming a predetermined film on the first gate insulation film; forming a protective film on the predetermined film in the first element forming region; forming a second gate insulation film in the second element forming region by deforming the predetermined film into an insulation film using the protective film as a mask; removing the protective film and the remaining predetermined film which is not deformed into the insulated film; and forming gate electrodes on the first and second gate insulation films which are exposed by removing the remaining predetermined film.
Abstract: Disclosed is a drive circuit for a panel display device for driving light-emitting devices arranged at respective intersections between a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines. This drive circuit includes a voltage control circuit for charging the light-emitting devices to a voltage necessary for light emission by connecting the data lines to a predetermined power supply potential in a rising period prior to a period for selectively causing the light-emitting devices to emit light; and a drive control circuit for selectively connecting the data lines to a constant current source after the rising period.
Abstract: A protecting casing for a transducer has an outer casing, an inner casing, a circuit board and a connector. The inner casing is detachably mounted in the outer casing and has a mounting hole and a cap detachably mounted on the inner casing to cover the mounting hole in a watertight manner. The circuit board is detachably mounted in the inner casing and has a surface, a circuit formed on the surface and a plug with terminals extends out of the inner casing. The connector is detachably mounted to the outer casing and is electrically connected between the circuit board and an external functional accessory component. Within such an arrangement to facilitate maintenance, assembly of the transducer, and effectively avoid intrusion of water, foreign object and the like.
Abstract: A variable resistor has a substrate, an insulating film, a resistance element, a rotary assembly and a wiper. The substrate has a first terminal having an annular segment, a second terminal and a third terminal having a semi-circular segment disposed adjacent to the annular segment of the first terminal. The insulating film has a central hole corresponding to the annular segment and covers the second terminal and the semi-circular segment. The resistance element is mounted on the insulating film and contacts the second terminal and the distal end of the semi-circular segment through two gaps of the insulating film. The rotary assembly is mounted on the substrate. The wiper is rotated by the rotary assembly and has multiple contacts respectively contacting the resistance element and the annular segment. Therefore, The rotary assembly can be continuously rotated to prevent accidental breakage without short-circuiting.
Abstract: A portable compact washing machine that comprises a base, a drum, a motor housing, a motor and a decelerator. The drum is mounted rotatably in the base. The motor housing is mounted in the base and aligns with the drum. The motor is mounted in the motor housing and connects directly to the drum through the decelerator that stabilizes power transmitted to the drum and higher power transmission efficiency and a better cleaning effect.
Abstract: A frequency synthesizer with automatic calibration includes a voltage-controlled oscillator, which has several working bands for receiving a coarse-tuned signal and a fine-tuned signal and generating an output signal in the working band of the coarse-tuned signals; preliminary frequency divider unit, which receives the output signal and generates an intermediate signal by frequency dividing; a feedback frequency divider unit, which receives the intermediate signal and generates a feedback signal by frequency dividing; an automatic calibration unit, which receives the input signal and the intermediate signal to generate a coarse-tuned signal; a phase-frequency comparator, which compares the input signal with the feedback signal and generates an error signal according to the frequency and phase differences between the input signal and the feedback signal; and a low-pass filter, which filters the error signal and generates a fine-tuned signal.

Abstract: An ESD protection circuit includes a substrate, diode device, first snapback device, ring structure, second snapback device and a control circuit. The diode device is formed in the substrate. The first snapback device is formed in the substrate and includes a first heavy ion-doped region, a first gate and a second heavy ion-doped region. The first heavy ion-doped region is coupled to the diode device. The first gate is coupled to the second heavy ion-doped region. The ring structure is formed in the substrate and includes a third heavy ion-doped region located. The second gate is formed on the substrate between the second heavy ion-doped region and the third heavy ion-doped region to generate a second snapback device. The control circuit is connected to the third heavy ion-doped region for preventing the turn-on of a parasitic SCR formed in the substrate in a normal operation.
