  • Patent number: 6775030
Abstract: A method of producing a color space transformation, with which the color values of a first printing process can be converted into the color values of a second printing process so that the black build-up of the first printing process is substantially transferred into the second printing process and the visual impression of the printed colors in the two printing processes is substantially the same, includes characterizing the color reproduction characteristics of the printing processes by color profiles, which specify an association between the device dependent color values of the printing processes and the color values of a device independent color space. From the color profiles, lightness curves are determined as a function of the black printing ink and color curves are determined as a function of the non-black printing inks and linked to form the color space transformation sought.

  • Patent number: 6775045
Abstract: An optoelectronic module has a laser diode configured on a substrate. The laser diode is drivable using an electronic drive device. At least one electrode of the laser diode is connected or coupled to the substrate. In order to match the impedance of the laser diode to the assigned electronic drive device, the substrate is designed as an electric line coupled to one electrode of the laser diode, and the impedance is matched by setting the specific electric conduction properties of the substrate. In this way, in addition to the mechanical function as carrier of the laser diode and the thermal function of dissipating the heat produced in the laser diode, the substrate additionally fulfills an electric function of impedance matching between the laser diode and the assigned electronic drive system. The optoelectronic module therefore offers improved EMC properties.

  • Patent number: 6775795
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for testing an SDRAM are described. The SDRAM is used as a main memory in the PC, and an additional circuit configuration is accommodated on a plug-in board and has an additional memory in the form of an SRAM and logic circuits. The method according to the invention allows the SDRAM to be tested in a module bank in the running PC to be set deliberately to a test mode. In this case the code for test mode activation is modified by a high-level language program (PASCAL) in accordance with the user requirements, is copied to the additional memory on the plug-in board, and is then called by the high-level language program using MS DOS. After activation of the selected test mode by a code programmed in Assembler, a defined jump is made back to the calling program once again. This allows the use of the test mode provided in the SDRAM in standard PCs and using standard operating systems. This greatly increases the test options for SDRAMs on standard PCs.

  • Patent number: 6774688
Abstract: A circuit for synchronizing signals during an exchange of information between circuits, in particular between computer chips, of a system of circuits, is described. The configuration has a delay locked loop (DLL) circuit for synchronizing an internal clock between a respective circuit and an external clock of the circuit system according to the phase difference between the two clocks in a manner dependent on phase changes in the signals. A response sensitivity of the DLL circuit is defined by a filter, which enables a renewed synchronization only after the arrival of a plurality of phase change events. The filter provided for setting the response sensitivity of the DLL circuit is of a variable configuration.

  • Patent number: 6770591
Abstract: A honeycomb body includes layered or wound sheet-metal layers at least partially structured to form passages through which exhaust gas can flow. The sheet-metal layers are formed of a special steel with 15 to 25% chromium, typical rare earths necessary for resistance to corrosion at high temperatures and an aluminum content of between 1 and 4.5%. Such a honeycomb body with sheet-metal layers having a thickness of more than 0.06 mm, preferably 0.01 to 0.12 mm, is suitable as a catalyst carrier body for the emission control systems of two-wheeled vehicles or motorcycles, despite its low aluminum content. Sheet-metal layers of this type are even suitable for use in the emission control systems of diesel vehicles with lower thicknesses since the temperatures are lower in these systems, in general below 800° C. Sheet-metal layers containing between 1 and 4.5% aluminum can be derived from other production processes before the aluminum content is increased with additional procedures.

  • Patent number: 6771937
Abstract: A circuit configuration has a radio-frequency section with a receiving mixing stage, and has a signal processing circuit with an A/D converter, a digital filter and a frequency estimator. The frequency estimator continuously determines a first frequency correction control signal, which is representative of a frequency offset between the frequency of an IF received signal and a frequency which is characteristic of a pass band of the filter. The first frequency correction control signal is used for readjustment of the mixing frequency.

  • Patent number: 6770530
Abstract: The method for producing a shallow trench isolation for n- and p-channel field-effect transistors in a semiconductor module provides the following steps. A thermal oxide layer is applied in isolation trenches. A nitride liner is subsequently applied. In a further step, a mask is applied in the region in which n-channel field-effect transistors are intended to be produced. The nitride liner is removed around the mask. Finally, the mask is also removed. As a result, the properties of the n-channel field-effect transistors are improved, without impairing the properties of the p-channel field-effect transistors.

  • Patent number: 6770917
Abstract: A high-voltage diode and a method for producing the high-voltage diode involve only three masking steps. Only three masking steps are required due to the use of adjustment structures and of a chipping stopper with an edge passivation containing a-C:H or a-Si. In this manner, the high-voltage diode is inexpensive to manufacture. The diode has a rating for reverse voltages of, in particular, above about 400 V and preferably above about 500 V, and can be fabricated with the least possible process complexity and thus a small number of photo technologies and, in the edge region, can readily be equipped with a channel stopper for avoiding leakage currents and a chipping stopper for limiting the extent of saving defects.

  • Patent number: 6771527
Abstract: An integrated DRAM memory component has sense amplifiers which, respectively within the framework of the integrated component, are formed from a multiplicity of transistor structures, arranged regularly in cell arrays, and signal interconnect structures with amplification transistors for bit line signal amplification. The amplification transistors are of identical design and they lie opposite one another in pairs in adjacent transistor rows. Signal interconnects, which are associated with the transistor rows and run parallel thereto, supply actuation signals. The signal interconnects for the actuation signals have the same arrangement symmetry as the amplification transistors, which means that the amplification transistors in adjacent transistor rows are in the same signal interconnect proximity.

  • Patent number: 6770136
Abstract: A device for the sublimation growth of an SiC single crystal, with foil-lined crucible. The device for producing an SiC single crystal includes a crucible with a crucible inner zone. Inside this zone, there is a storage area for storing a stock of solid SiC and a crystal area in which an SiC single crystal grows onto an SiC seed crystal. A heater device is arranged outside the crucible. On a side that faces the crucible inner zone, the crucible is lined with a foil of tantalum, tungsten, niobium, molybdenum, rhenium, iridium, ruthenium, hafnium or zirconium. As a result, the crucible is sealed and a reaction between the aggressive components of the SiC gas phase and the crucible wall is prevented.
