  • Patent number: 6795696
Abstract: A circuit configuration for filtering a radio-frequency signal, in particular, in tuners for television sets, includes a control signal connection for feeding in a control signal, a controllable-frequency oscillator, at least one filter having an adjustable passband for a useful signal, and a device for providing a correction signal. The filters are, preferably, tracking filters whose filter band can be shifted by a control signal. At least one filter has a variable-frequency element with a first connection and a second connection. The first connection is coupled to the control signal connection, and the correction signal device is coupled to the second connection. For fine tuning production tolerances, the filters are supplied with a correction signal, which is applied to the other pole of the variable-frequency element of the filter as compared with the control signal. The value range of the correction signals is limited to the correction range and is much lower than the value range for the control signal.

  • Patent number: 6791303
Abstract: A voltage stabilization circuit is configured between two signal lines. Each of the signal lines carries a signal, and an interference signal is superimposed on at least one of the signals. The voltage stabilization circuit includes an amplifier circuit that provides an anti-phase signal obtained as an amplified difference between the interference signal and a reference signal. The anti-phase signal has a phase that is opposite the phase of the interference signal. The configuration further includes a matching circuit, which is connected in series with the amplifier circuit, and which generates a compensation signal from the anti-phase signal and superimposes the compensation signal on the signal that is superimposed with the interference signal.

  • Patent number: 6790726
Abstract: A method for producing an integrated semiconductor memory configuration includes forming two capacitor modules for each selection transistor from the front and rear side of the substrate wafer respectively. Thus, a higher packing density of memory cells is engendered by the utilization of the rear side of the wafer. A twofold memory read signal can be used for the same cell surface area. Conditions in addition to “0” or “1” can also be saved for each selection transistor in a ferroelectric memory configuration, if the two capacitor modules have a different structure in terms of layer thickness, surface area, or material.

  • Patent number: 6789044
Abstract: A pattern is determined of the neck movement of a subject. The head/body movement of the subject is recorded with markers placed on the shoulders and on the head and thus moving with the subject. The locus curve of each marker in three-dimensional space is then determined in dependence on the time and it is stored as a data set. The neck movement is isolated from the head and torso movements by determining the difference between the average of the two locus curves that represent the shoulder movements and the locus curve representing the head movement. The pattern of movement established on the cranio-corpo-graphy is evaluated and analyzed using a data-processing device. The method is particularly suitable for determining the presence and the severity of an injury to the cervical spine as a result of whiplash caused by a traffic accident.

  • Patent number: 6788129
Abstract: An integrated circuit has a programmable element with an electrical interconnect resistance that can be varied by programming. An evaluation circuit for the evaluation of the electrical interconnect resistance is connected to the programmable element. The electrical interconnect resistance of the programmable element is read out and evaluated by the evaluation circuit. With a trimming circuit, connected to the evaluation circuit, an operating point of the evaluation circuit is adjusted in dependence on the electrical interconnect resistance that has been read out by the evaluation circuit. In this way, a state of the programmable element can be read out and evaluated largely independently of technological fluctuations.

  • Patent number: 6788228
Abstract: An addressing device selects an element from a set of N≦2K regular elements or alternatively from a set of R<N redundant elements in dependence on a K-bit input address which is applied to a 1-out-of-N decoder, and which addresses the regular elements. For each redundant element, a bypass circuit is provided and has in each case a reference bit transmitter for supplying K reference bits that are programmable by selective destruction or by selective introduction of conductive links in order to set a comparison device to the identification of a selected address. If the relevant address is identified, the bypass circuit addresses the redundant element assigned to it while switching off the 1-out-of-N decoder, provided that it is sensitized. For its sensitization, each bi-stable-circuit checks M<K preselected specimens of the reference bits in order to set the relevant bypass circuit into an active state if the binary values of these reference bits differ from a chosen bit combination.

  • Patent number: 6787801
Abstract: Integrated circuits are tested on the wafer level through an additional circuit part that is electrically connected via at least one connecting line with the associated integrated circuit. The additional circuit part is integrated into an interspace between the integrated circuits of the wafer. Functions of the integrated circuit can be controlled via the connecting line. For example, in the case of a memory module such as a DRAM, internal voltages and/or currents of the integrated circuit can advantageously be measured even on internal lines which are otherwise only accessible with difficulty. Following the wafer-level testing and dicing of the integrated circuits into individual chips, the additional circuit part becomes unusable.
