More than one track and a comparable number of lugs may be provided and the track may be releasably attached to the travel case.

Abstract: A conveyor assembly includes a conveying surface and at least one air manifold for directing air against the sidewall of the articles to be conveyed. The conveying surface includes longitudinally extending raised ribs along which the articles are moved and the air manifolds are connected directly to the source of air. Further, the conveyor assembly is attached directly to a die member and becomes an integral part thereof.

Abstract: A personal health care item in the form of a toothbrush holder is provided comprising means to support one or more toothbrushes, and an ultraviolet irradiating light device to treat the brush of any toothbrush mounted within the toothbrush support means and thus kill any germs present within the brush.

Abstract: A one-piece molded resilient closure includes opposed legs joined by a hinge so that the legs may be folded over on themselves. One leg carries a male locking member and the other a socket for releasable engagement therewith. One or both legs terminate in outer finger-engaging ends and the leg having the socket also has a pressure pad for engagement with a thumb or finger to facilitate flexing of its outer end to engage or disengage the socket with the male locking member.

Abstract: An automatic water treatment system including a magnetic descaler, a centrifugal separator and an electrode purifier operationally connected to a water supply and controlled by a microprocessor so as to monitor conductivity, pH and copper/silver content and control the descaler, separator and purifier as well as the blowdown as required to insure acceptable levels of water purity while avoiding excessive blowdown.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is provided having a body portion and a cleaning member supported on the body portion, wherein a cleaning fluid container is situated within the body portion of the cleaning apparatus, and wherein the cleaning fluid exits the body portion, whereby cleaning fluid is dispensed from the container when necessary onto or adjacent the cleaning member. Such an arrangement is simple in design and construction, and since cleaning fluid is insitu, such provides an effective cleaning apparatus.

Abstract: A sensing device for use with a fishing rod comprises a body, support means connected to the body and adapted to secure the sensing device to a fishing rod, sensing means extending from the body which, in use, contact the fishing line of a fishing rod, the sensing means being mounted in such a way that any force exerted on the line is transferred to the sensing member and thus to the body, and electronic means posiitoned within the body and adapted to receive the force exerted on the sensing means, and transform that force into a visual and/or audio indication to show that a pull is being exerted on the fishing line.

Abstract: A device is disclosed to facilitate self-catheterization in women who have an atonic bladder. The device comprises a body portion for insertion in the vagina, a locating member which lies substantially at right angles to the body portion and is intended to engage against the outside of the vagina, and a handle member on the locating member. The body portion has or is associated with a passageway one end of which is intended to engage against the mouth of the urethra and the other end of which is intended to receive the leading end of a catheter which can thus be guided into the urethra to facilitate self-catheterization. A locating and measuring device for use in the construction or selection of the self-catheterization device is also disclosed.

Abstract: In an isostatic press for making compacts of powdered cermaic material, a tool part has, on a sliding head, twice as many mold needles as mold parts which, together with the mold needles, limit molds for making the compacts. The distance between the mold needles on the sliding head is half the distance between the mold parts. The sliding head is moved back and forth in phases in the longitudinal direction of the row of mold pots by the distance between the mold needles, so that, at the same time as the produced compacts are lifted out and deposited on conveyor belts, the other mold needles are moved into the mold pots.

Abstract: A continuous grinding system for comminuting material in a liquid includes a grinding vessel and a rotating shaft carrying one or more mixing arms disposed within the vessel. A funnel-shaped housing and a cylindrical extension project into the vessel and the rotating shaft extends through the housing and the extension with the mixing arms being disposed beneath the extension. The rotating shaft also carries one or more radially projecting, angled impeller blades which are disposed within the extension. The blades may engage the extension in which event the extension may be separate from the housing or may terminate short of the inner wall of the extension in which event the extension may be secured to the housing.

Abstract: An adjustable locked center and dynamic tensioner include both a method for setting tension in a belt or chain drive system and apparatus for setting the friction torque so as to match the system setting torque. The method includes forcing the tensioner against a stable mounting surface with sufficient spring load that a target friction torque will be required to rotate the tensioner. The tensioner arm is then rotated into the belt or chain until, when the setting torque is removed, the belt or chain will counter rotate the tensioner arm and the target friction torque in the tensioner will cause the target setting tension to remain in the system. The apparatus includes a tensioner arm pivotally mounted on a fixed surface with a spring engaging the arm and being clamped against the fixed surface. Modifications include introducing a compliant coupler such as an elastomeric busing or spring between the stable mounting surface and the tensioner arm.

Abstract: A burglary resistant cast door assembly for use in a burglary resistant vault is cast of a concrete mix consisting essentially of Type 1 cement from about 21.6 to 25.4 percent by weight; sand from about 31.5 to 37.2 by weight; #8 gravel from about 30.7 to 36.8 by weight; a water reducer from about 0.4 to 0.7 by weight; steel fiber from about 2.3 to 5.1 by weight; and water from about 3.8 to 5.4 by weight.

Abstract: In a press having an upper punch and lower punch and a tool mount to be inserted into the press and connected to the lower punch via a lower coupling plate and to the upper punch via an upper joining piece, and a framework mounted displaceably on a base plate of the mount and consisting of connecting rods rigidly connecting the lower coupling plate with the matrix holding plate, die carriers being moved relative to the base plate from their filling position downward into the compacting position and from the compacting position into the ejecting position, which corresponds to the filling position (the so-called ejection method), at lease one additional die carrier, like the matrix holding plate, works by the withdrawal method, this die carrier being moved from the filling position downward into the compacting position and from the compacting position downward into the withdrawing position.

Abstract: An insect trapping device for mounting on a horizontal surface includes an elongate, flexible body having first and second surfaces and a quantity of insect attracting adhesive disposed on the first surface thereof. Attachment members in the form in the preferred embodiment of pressure-sensitive adhesive pads are secured to the opposed ends and a layer of release material is superimposed over the first surface and over the pressure-sensitive adhesive and the insect attracting adhesive. When in use, the device is flexed so that the opposed ends are brought into juxtaposition with each other and whereby the pressure-sensitive adhesive on the one end may attach to the support surface and on the other end may attach to the second surface of the body so as to mount the device in vertically projecting relationship with respect to the support surface.

Abstract: A scoring system for sporting contests includes positioning an appropriate number of judges about the site of the contest and providing each with a signalling device which is connected to a display which superimposes the points awarded on a picture of the contest. The picture is generated by a television camera positioned so as to present a view of the contest comparable to that of each judge. The signalling device for each judge is also connected to a computer which records and totals the scores thus provided and produces a total score. Variations of the system provide differential scores for the contestants for each increment of the contest.

Abstract: A method of forming a container body having a profiled bottom in a continuous operation wherein the body is formed from a blank of material into an inverted cup, the cup is reverse drawn and a preliminary profile is imparted to the bottom of the cup, and a final profile is imparted. The apparatus includes a die cut edge movable into telescoping relationship around a redraw die to form the inverted cup and a profile punch movable into telescoping relationship within the redraw die to form the preliminary profile against a profile pad. The profile pad is selectively supported by a pair of fluidly actuated pistons whereby, upon activation of the second piston, the final profile may be formed.
