Abstract: Parathyroid Hormone, when excessively synthesized, induces pathologic bone resorption and demineralization and results in hypocalcemia which produces toxic effects in soft tissues. Non-toxic water-soluble pharmaceutically acceptable compound derivative of peroxydiphosphoric acid, administered orally or systemically, inhibits parathyroid hormone induced bone resorption in vitro and in vivo in warm blooded animals.

Abstract: A medication for providing fluoride ion for the prevention and treatment of bone loss disease, together with an estrogen-containing substance for not only treating hormonal imbalance but to obtain more advantageous use of the fluoride ion within the body. The dosage is a lozenge, tablet or capsule containing from 20 to 100 milligrams of sodium monofluorophosphate and further including an estrogen-containing substance and a slow release mechanism for controlling release of the fluoride ion and estrogen over a period of from four to eight hours after swallowing. Up to ten percent of sodium fluoride and/or calcium can be added.
Abstract: A zinc-containing antitartar oral product substantially free of astringency, containing as the essential agent, a zinc/polyphosphate complex having at least about a 50% water solubility, formed by the reaction or interaction of a zinc compound with a potassium or sodium polyphosphate by dissolving a zinc salt in a polyphosphate solution such as pyrophosphate, tripolyphosphate, hexametaphosphate and combinations thereof.
Abstract: Dental plaque-disclosing compositions comprising FD&C Red No. 40 which selectively stain plaque formed on tooth surfaces, making plaque easily observable to the naked eye at visible light wave-lengths.

Abstract: A T-shaped animal trap having entry ports and sliding doors at opposite ends of its head portion and a platform resting on a dowel in its leg portion. A magnet is on each end of the dowel outside of the trap which can magnetically hold to each magnet a flexible metal wire when the entry ports are open, which wire extends into the head portion and is attached to one sliding door. When the platform is moved over the dowel, the dowel partially rotates and the wires are released from the magnets, thereby permitting the sliding doors to close the entry ports. Atlernatively, the animal trap may be tunned shaped with entry ports and sliding doors at opposite ends and a platform resting on a dowel near the middle of the tunnel.
