A limit stop is provided for resisting insertion of the multi-nozzle sprayer into the container discharge nozzle and an indexing indicia is provided for aligning a selected discharge orifice with the body central bore.
Abstract: A swivel holder is disclosed herein having a base member detachably carried from a belt, auto dash-board, wall surface or the like for releasably supporting an item or article of personal use. The article is provided with a stud and the base member includes guide rails defining a receptacle for insertably receiving the stud and for holding the stud in rotatable or swivelling relationship. A resilient catch member retains the stud in swivelling position on the base member and a finger latch mechanism controls the catch member for retention or release of the stud.
Abstract: A cutting implement such as of the scissors type is disclosed herein, having a pair of elongated shanks pivoted together midway between their opposite ends so that opposing blade cutting edges converge together as the shanks are closed towards one another. The cutting edges are carried on an exposed edge marginal region of either permanent or replaceable blades disposed into open receptacles on the respective shanks. Each shank receptacle is defined by sloping surfaces at the opposite ends of each receptacle and a pair of stepped posts is provided in spaced apart relationship between the opposite opening ends. A replaceable blade is formed with a plurality of recesses along the edge opposite to the cutting edge leading into longitudinal slots whereby the shank posts are indexed or registered with the blade recesses for snap-lock retention therewith into the slots with the blade seated on the post steps. A permanent blade is provided with shaped holes for placement on the steps of the posts.
Abstract: A magnetic resistive head lapping system is disclosed herein which incorporates an automatic applied force lapping fixture for row tool balance and bow correction. The fixture is mounted over a rotatable lapping plate and is effective to present a row tool or slider bar with magnetic heads deposited thereon to the abrasive surface of the lapping plate in proper orientation during batch fabrication of the magnetic heads. The fixture includes a stationary assembly and a movable assembly on which the row tool and slider bar are carried. A pair of electromagnetic actuators on the stationary assembly correct for balance while three electromagnetic coils on the movable assembly correct for row tool bow.

Abstract: A cam lock for the folding blade of a knife is disclosed herein wherein the heel of the knife is pivotally carried between opposite sides at one end of a handle. The handle includes an elongated slot defined between opposing surfaces of the handle for receiving the blade in its folded or storage position. A self-biasing cam lock assembly having components carried on the heel of the blade and the handle maintains the blade in its operative extended, unfolded position or in its folded storage position. The cam lock assembly includes an L-shaped cam member secured to the blade heel having an arcuate surface terminating at one end in a linear surface and a cut-out at its opposite end. Rectilinear slide members are carried on the handle having a spring bias yieldably urging the pin and slide member into engagement with either the cut-out or the linear surface respectively to maintain the blade in either of its two positions.
Abstract: An adjustable row or transfer tool is disclosed herein compensating for row bow or distortion during a lapping process on a surface so as to establish uniform and substantially precise throat heights for a plurality of thin film transducers carried on a row of magnetic head sliders. To provide for adjustment, the body of the row tool is a double series of relief slots provided in an edge marginal region immediately adjacent to the surface intended to be lapped. The first series includes elongated relief slots disposed between square shaped slots extending across the length of the tool while the second series includes several relief slit openings across the tool length above the first series to terminate in cavities at each end. Bend holes in the tool body are located between the first and second series of relief slots and slits. Adjustment may be achieved by mounting the row tool to a closed loop lapping system.
Abstract: A fingertip toothbrush is disclosed herein employing a tapered spiral brush having bristles carried on a wire support in coaxial relationship and outwardly projecting from the end of a cup-like base member. The base member includes an internal recess with an opening or entrance for insertably receiving the tip of the user's finger. A semicircular slot is provided in the base member through which an extended fingernail may be accommodated. A reinforcement element secures the wire support and the bristles on the base member.
Abstract: An automotive differential assembly for a vehicle having a driving case enclosing a pair of driving members operably coupled with a pair of driven members. The driven members are secured to output shafts and the driving members are forcibly driven by a driving shaft having its opposite ends in engagement with the driving case. The driving shaft passes through eccentric or angled apertures formed by cooperating arcuate surfaces provided in opposing surfaces of the driving members. The driving members and the driven members are urged together respectively by at least four dampening springs providing both axial and radial force which dampens or eliminates sudden impact encountered when the shaft moves back and forth within the apertures. The driving members may be loosely aligned and interrelated by pins and enlarged holes, by pins and laterally opened holes or by a key and keyway or channel construction.
Abstract: A dolly for movably supporting a load having an adjustable frame with side members and end members. Each side member and end member consists of slidable sections in telescoping relationship for adjusting the length and width of the frame. An adjustable leg is carried on each corner of the frame where adjacent ends of the side members and end members are joined and a load-bearing pad is carried on the end of each leg. Each leg is insertably disposed in the fixture which has a hold-down or tie-down opening provided therein. A wheeled support is carried on the underside of the frame for transport purposes.
Abstract: A system which includes an information transmitting element including flexible length of cable supporting an array of energy emitting elements of such sizes, shapes and spacings as to represent bar code markings, a carrier for the information transmitting element which is adapted to be mounted on a person or object, where its movement from one place to another requires control and where its admission to such places might be selectively denied, and a receiver element for detecting and determining the encoded information being transmitted.
