  • Patent number: 8042884
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic vehicle brake system having a service brake which can be actuated by muscle force and having a device for regulating the wheel slip. It is proposed in such a vehicle brake system to use suction pumps in connection with specially-designed accumulators. The accumulators have separating elements which in each case separate a first accumulator chamber from a second accumulator chamber. An inflow opens out into the first accumulator chamber, and an outflow, which is separate from the inflow, outlets out of the first accumulator chamber. The separating element is arranged so as to be freely movable between two end positions, and in one of its end positions, blocks a pressure medium connection of the inflow to the outflow.

  • Patent number: 8038083
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber, having a solenoid valve for controlling a mini-servo valve. A movable armature can be placed in a sealing fashion on a valve seat in a lower armature chamber, wherein in addition, the mini-servo valve is held in an injector body and seals a control line against a flat seat. By means of the flat seat, during an actuation of the solenoid valve, the control line can be relieved of pressure from a high fuel pressure to a return pressure into at least one return line. A mechanism for reducing pressure oscillations are provided in the at least one return line, which includes at least one diaphragm cell which is held in a recess and which is placed in fluidic connection with the at least one return bore. A fuel injector with the mechanism for reducing pressure oscillations is therefore created in the at least one return line which operates without a leakage flow and has a simple and effective function.

  • Patent number: 8015778
Abstract: In a method for filling bulk goods into containers designed to accommodate a certain number of bulk items, at least one bulk goods conveyor is used to transport the bulk goods towards at least two pickers which are consecutively arranged in the direction of transport. The pickers are used to fill the bulk goods into empty spaces in containers, transported on at least one container conveyor. When the supply of bulk goods decreases or is discontinued, the at least one picker arranged downstream in the direction of transport of the bulk goods conveyor gives preference to containers with a high filling level. Completely empty containers are preferably no longer filled. Thus the bulk goods conveyor can be emptied within a short period and almost all bulk goods are packed without necessitating manual filling of the containers.

  • Patent number: 8012618
Abstract: Known rechargeable batteries contain a cell that is received in a cell cup. For monitoring the temperature of the rechargeable batteries, PTC elements are used, but they increase the amount of space needed and can be accommodated in a battery pack only with difficulty. For the sake of simple accommodation, a rechargeable battery has a cell, which is received in a cell cup. According to the invention, for monitoring the temperature of the cell, a temperature-dependent element, in particular a PTC element, is provided that at least partially surrounds the cell cup. The invention is intended in particular for battery packs in which temperature monitoring is required.

  • Patent number: 8006951
Abstract: Disclosed is a solenoid valve having a magnet unit and a valve cartridge having a capsule, an armature guided longitudinally in the capsule and connected to a sealing pin guided longitudinally inside a valve insert, and a valve body with a sealing seat; a magnetic force generated by the magnet unit moves the armature together with the sealing pin from an initial position toward the valve body counter to the force of a return spring, causing the sealing pin to move into and close the sealing seat in an end position, where the initial position represents a maximum volumetric flow between a valve inlet and a valve outlet. A spring support is embodied and situated so that the return spring is supported outside the volumetric flow and presses the armature into the initial position against the capsule, and the inlet and outlet are embodied and situated so that the direction of the volumetric flow assists the closing motion of the armature with the sealing pin.

  • Patent number: 8002088
Abstract: A self-boosting electromechanical friction brake for a motor vehicle in which, with an electromechanical actuator, a friction brake lining can be pressed against a brake disk, and the friction brake lining is braced in the brake caliper via a wedge mechanism, which effects a self boosting. A friction brake lining which is pressed by the actuator has with a lower coefficient of friction, and in particular with less relative fluctuation in the coefficient of friction, than another friction brake lining positioned fixedly in the brake caliper. An operation-dictated fluctuation in the coefficient of friction and thus a change in the self boosting is reduced, and as a result the disk brake, with a low coefficient of friction, can be actuated with less actuation force and less actuation energy.

  • Patent number: 7954909
Abstract: In a fluid pressure booster, when an input shaft and a valve plunger advance, an atmosphere valve opens to introduce air into a variable pressure chamber. At this time, the input shaft has not moved by a predetermined stroke, and thus a projection of the valve plunger is positioned within an inner peripheral surface of a control valve body, thus forming an orifice, which causes air to be sucked at a restricted flow rate. As a result, generation of noise is suppressed. When the input shaft moves the predetermined stroke, the projection of the valve plunger is positioned away from the inner peripheral surface of the control valve body and the orifice is no longer formed. Accordingly, the flow rate of the air is not restricted by the orifice, and thus a relatively large amount of air is sucked into and introduced into the pressure variation chamber.
