  • Patent number: 7938455
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for axially connecting an external pipe section to a coaxial peg or internal pipe section that engages in the external pipe section, in particular for connecting the drain connecting piece of an injector for injecting fuel into internal combustion engines to a fuel return connector. The external pipe section has two diametrically opposed retaining slots that penetrate the wall of the external pipe section and which correspond to grooves on the periphery of the peg or internal pipe section. Two opposing sprung retaining arms of a clamp-type retaining clip pass through the retaining slots of the external pipe section from the exterior and snap into the grooves of the peg or internal pipe section in a sprung manner. One essential feature of the invention is that the parallel retaining slots of the external pipe section are offset in height in relation to one another, while the whole of the retaining clip, when not fitted onto the pipe sections, lies on one plane.

The nozzle needle is lifted from a nozzle-needle sealing seat as a function of the pressure in the control space. An intermediate plate is provided between injector housing and nozzle body. The plate has a conduit hydraulically connecting the coupling chamber to the control chamber. The conduit contains a hydraulic throttle which has at least two sections having different cross sections of flow.

  • Patent number: 7891587
Abstract: The invention relates to an intermediate plate for a fuel injector, comprising a high-pressure through-hole which connects a high-pressure passage in a valve body and is connected to a high-pressure fuel reservoir, to a high-pressure space in a nozzle body, wherein the intermediate plate is arranged between the valve body and the nozzle body. In order to improve the injection behaviour of a fuel injector provided with the intermediate plate, in particular during multiple injection of small injection quantities, the high-pressure through-hole has a cross-sectional profile which improves the flow through the high-pressure through-hole from the valve body towards the nozzle body and impairs the flow in the opposite direction from the nozzle body towards the valve body.

  • Patent number: 7893649
Abstract: A method and circuit arrangement for determining position of the rotor of an electronically commutated motor, wherein the rotor has magnetic axes having different permeances. Voltage is applied to stator phases, and resultant phase currents are monitored for purpose of determining rotor position in the standstill state of the motor. First and second rise times of phase currents are determined until predetermined limit values are reached in unsaturated state. The assignment of a magnetic axis to a stator phase is determined from first rise times of the currents in unsaturated state of the rotor core, and the polarization of the rotor is determined from second rise times of currents upon energization with saturation effects. After run-up of the motor, initial energization of the stator can be determined comparing levels of the magnet wheel voltages and corrected by changing the commutation of stator energization.
