  • Patent number: 6696903
Abstract: A laminated dielectric filter is formed by coupling a plurality of resonators to one another by electromagnetic-field coupling. In the laminated dielectric filter, a bypass circuit formed of a series circuit including bypass capacitors and transmission lines is provided in parallel to a magnetic-field bypass coupling between non-adjacent resonators. Thus, capacitance of the bypass capacitors can be regulated without being affected by the magnetic-field bypass coupling between the non-adjacent resonators. As a result, attenuation poles outside a passband can be controlled freely.

  • Patent number: 6694499
Abstract: A technique for verifying decoupling capacitance using a maximum flow determination is provided. The technique involves generating a network representing decoupling capacitors and driver elements on an integrated circuit, selectively establishing connections between decoupling capacitors and driver elements, and determining a maximum flow of the network. Using the maximum flow of the network, a designer may then verify whether particular driver elements are receiving sufficient decoupling capacitance and whether particular decoupling capacitors are being used efficiently, and subsequently redesign an integrated circuit as deemed necessary.

  • Patent number: 6686785
Abstract: An integrated circuit has a plurality of sections, each having a phase detector and a control delay circuit. The phase detector, in response to a phase difference between a reference clock signal and a feedback signal from a portion of a clock grid, controls the delay of its associated clock delay circuit, which, in turn, outputs to the portion of the clock grid. The feedback signal to the phase detector may be connected to an output of a DLL or another portion of the clock grid controlled by a clock delay circuit not associated with the phase detector. Such an arrangement on the integrated circuit leads to clock grid skew reduction.

  • Patent number: 6684694
Abstract: In a flow sensor, a heater is provided in the middle of an insulation thin film stretched above a gap on a substrate. Temperature measuring elements, which in some embodiments are thermopiles, are provided on both sides of the same, and an ambient temperature measuring resistive element is provided on the top surface of the silicon substrate. The thermopiles in some embodiments are made of polysilicon and aluminum, and in some embodiments the polysilicon is doped with phosphorus (P). In some embodiments, the amount of phosphorus is determined such that temperature characteristics of the thermopiles and have an absolute value substantially equal to that of temperature characteristics attributable to factors other than the thermopiles and have a (positive or negative) sign opposite to that of the latter. Thus, the temperature characteristics of the thermopiles cancel the temperature characteristics attributable to factors other than the thermopiles.
