Abstract: Apparatus and Method for transmitting control message related to a packet call service in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) that transmits/receives an IMS control message using a control plane to reduce a delay caused by setting of a user plane in a packet call setup process. A user equipment (UE) determines whether an IMS service is registered in response to a radio resource control (RRC) connection request. The UE sets an SRB_IMS request parameter requiring that the IMS control message be processed through a signaling radio bearer (SRB) depending on whether the IMS service is registered. The UE transmits an RRC connection request message including the SRB_IMS request parameter to a radio network controller (RNC). The UE configures an SRB_IMS entity.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for reliable, wireless group alerting in a system having a database, switch, wireless network, and a plurality of intelligent mobile receivers, and preferably employing a modified two-way paging based on ReFLEX™ protocol information service (IS) messages and a novel ALOHA command for multicast acknowledgement from mobile receivers. An encrypted message is broadcast to a group address and received by a selected number of the mobile receivers. The network replies to the sender with detailed information about the individual members in the alert group. Each of the mobile receivers in the group then acknowledges the common message back to the system, decrypts the message, displays it to the user, and allows the user to respond. The system employs centralized management to simplify the roles of the mobile users and administrators, minimizing configuration and operational human errors that would otherwise result in confusion or lost messages.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for controlling an image forming apparatus which allows the print setting to be changed. The method for controlling the print driving of an image forming apparatus comprises the steps of monitoring whether a stop signal is input while printing one or more images corresponding to input print data; stopping print driving of the image forming apparatus when the stop signal is detected; changing print setting of the image forming apparatus as demanded by a user; and printing one or more images, which correspond to the remaining print data unprinted due to the stoppage of the print driving, by applying the print setting changed. It is possible to change the print setting of the image forming apparatus desired by a user regardless of the print driving operation of the image forming apparatus and to reflect the changed print setting to the print driving.

Abstract: A method and mobile communication terminal for storing phone book data in the mobile communication terminal are provided in which phone book data can be registered group-by-group, where a predetermined is selected group among the registered groups in response to a user's request, and at least one of phone book data stored in the selected group is moved and stored into a group assigned by the user when a phone book data movement request is input by the user. Accordingly, a plurality of phone book data stored in a predetermined group among phone book data stored in a group basis in a mobile communication terminal can be easily moved and stored into another group. In addition, since the user can easily store phone book data whose group is not identified in a predetermined group, user convenience improves.

The method and apparatus comprise managing an address list of the clients; determining whether the broadcast printing of data for printing is required; generating a packet including addresses of the clients included in the list if the broadcast printing of the data is determined to be required; transmitting the data to the clients by using the generated packet; and respectively instructing the clients to print the data. Accordingly, since the broadcast printing does not use a group managing protocol, operations for group management and for setting data transmission routes are not required. Moreover, overloads due to data transmission in the network are prevented and data is quickly transmitted.

Abstract: A water absorbent resin is dried in a continuous fluidized bed having a heat transfer tube and at least two drying rooms. Pulverization is performed between a first drying room at not less than 80° C. to not more than 200° C. and a second or subsequent room at not less than 100° C. to not more than 220° C. A method for producing a water absorbent resin includes: (1) polymerizing a monomer aqueous solution; (2) drying a hydrogel polymer of step (1); (3) performing particle size control of the dry polymer of the step (2); (5) surface crosslinking the water absorbent resin powder of step (3), and step (4) of performing a second heat drying on the water absorbent resin powder of step (3), preceding step (5). The water absorbent resin has a moisture content of 0 wt % to 3 wt % before the step (5).

A method for taking images on a mobile communication terminal including a camera sensor for photographing an image to output an image signal and a signal processor receiving the image signal from the camera sensor to convert the image signal to image data includes determining whether there is a request to take an image during a video call and extracting, if there is a request to take an image, the image signal output from the camera sensor, converting the image signal to image data for storage, and storing the image data while performing the video call. The method enables production and storage of image data using a controller instead of a signal processor functioning for performing a video call, thus allowing high quality still or motion video image data to be taken and stored while making a video call.
