Abstract: An image forming apparatus comprises a plurality of data output parts for outputting printing data corresponding to a plurality of colors in synchronization with a reference clock signal. A clock control part controls the reference clock signal to be input to the data output parts, respectively. A control part outputs an initial clock signal forming the basis of the reference clock signal and initial data forming the basis of the printing data to the data output parts, and controls the clock control part to output the reference clock signal to the data output parts when the initial data corresponding to the colors corresponding to the data output parts are output to the data output parts. Accordingly, an image forming apparatus which is capable of reducing power wastefully consumed in a data output part and a control method thereof are provided.

Abstract: A cable broadcast receiving apparatus and composing method thereof are provided where a cable broadcast receiver receives a cable broadcast signal, a Point-of-Deployment (“POD”) cable card processes out-of-band data received from the cable broadcast receiver, an in-band (“INB”) processor processes in-band data received from the cable broadcast receiver, and a controller composes a channel map by comparing channel information included in the out-of-band (“OOB”) data with channel information included in the in-band data. Accordingly, the cable broadcast receiving apparatus and the controlling method thereof are capable of composing a correct channel map based on OOB data as well as INB data. Additionally, time can be saved in composing the channel map by reducing the channel search using OOB data within a certain time.

Abstract: Methods and system for admission control and scheduling in ad hoc wireless networks are provided. The method for admission control and scheduling in ad hoc wireless networks for different class of flows C1, C2 and C3 is provided where said admission control mechanism evaluate the probability of QoS violation and admit those calls whose probability of QoS violation is below a specified threshold. Admission Control for Class C1 evaluates the probability where destination node is a one-hop neighbor of the source node. Admission Control for Class C1 evaluates the probability where source and destination nodes are not one hop neighbors. Admission Control for Class C2 and class C3 flows evaluates the average or mean delay requirement and a requirement on the rate. Scheduling class C1 flows when admitted flows violate the QoS requirements; and Scheduling class C2 and class C3 flows.

Abstract: An image fixing apparatus includes a heat roller, and plural pressure rollers, which rotationally contact the surface of the heat roller by a compression unit. The plural pressure rollers are provided in such a manner that the compressive forces thereof may be adjusted. With this construction, the fixability of a toner image is improved and crumples, wrinkles, and wrap jam that may be produced when a toner image is fixed are substantially prevented.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for delivering a stream in a mobile broadcast system that receives stream contents of broadcast services (BCAST) from a content creation and provides the broadcast services to one terminal or one group of terminals via one of a broadcast distribution system (BDS) and an interaction network. The method involves requesting assignment of a bearer in which the stream is to be delivered, assigning a bearer in response to the bearer assignment request, adapting the stream to be appropriate for the assigned bearer, and delivering the adapted stream to the terminal in the assigned bearer.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for controlling an image forming apparatus and include a supplies information storage unit, which is included in supplies of an image forming apparatus and which has a writable first storage area and a second storage area providing write protection, and which stores information regarding the supplies in the first storage area, a replacement time detecting unit, which detects a replacement time of the supplies and outputs the sensing result, and an information controller, which in response to the result output from the replacement time detecting unit, stores the information stored in the first storage area in the second storage area, sets the write protection, and deletes the information stored in the first storage area. Accordingly, illegally recycled supplies can be prevented from being installed or used.

Abstract: A mobile terminal and method for transferring call charges between mobile terminals are disclosed. To transfer call-related charges between mobile terminals, the mobile terminal and call charge transfer method place a call by a calling mobile terminal to a called mobile terminal to establish a call connection for conversation, transmit a call transfer request by the calling mobile terminal to impose call-related charges on the called mobile terminal, and perform, if the called mobile terminal accepts the call transfer request, a call transfer operation to impose the call-related charges on the called mobile terminal, and maintain, if the called mobile terminal rejects the call transfer request, the call to impose the call-related charges on the calling mobile terminal. As a result, during a call between mobile terminals, the called user can accept a call transfer request of the calling user to transfer call-related charges to the called party, thereby enabling flexible and efficient billing.

Abstract: A method for a wireless Internet communication in a mobile communication terminal is provided. In an operation of starting a wireless Internet function, it is determined if a data call is being serviced and, if a data call is not serviced, the wireless Internet function is started by setting the wireless Internet function as a data call. In an operation of originating or terminating a voice call, it is determined if a wireless Internet function is being performed and, if the wireless Internet function is being performed, the wireless Internet function and a voice call service are substantially simultaneously started. Accordingly, in the wireless Internet communication method of the mobile communication terminal, a W-LAN function is set in the same manner as that in which a CDMA data call is set through modification of the SVD scheme, so that a W-LAN data protocol such as the DHCP (which can be used when the W-LAN function is set) and a voice call service can be provided at the same time.

Abstract: An image fixing control system and method are provided comprising a power supply, a power switching unit, a heating roller, in which a temperature detector detects a temperature of the heating roller, and a controller detects a temperature variation slope of the heating roller using the temperature detected by the temperature detector and controls an on and off switching operation of the power switching unit according to the detected temperature variation slope. Accordingly, by varying a duty ratio of power through a phase control using a temperature variation slope of a heating roller, a fine control of a fixing system can be performed. In addition, since a temperature variation, that is, overshoot or undershoot, of the heating roller is reduced, a fixing efficiency can be increased.
