  • Patent number: 7689435
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for managing composite business processes that include multiple trading mechanisms, such as requests for quotes (RFQs), auctions and contracts, or repeat passes through a single trading mechanism. The independence of the individual business processes that manage each trading mechanism is maintained, while each individual business process can be connected to other business processes to form a composite business process. Each individual business process that may be followed by another business process to form a composite process must have at least one state labeled as a conversion state with a conversion transition to another business process. A conversion transition spans the gap between an end state of one business process and the start state of another subsequent business process. When a conversion state is entered by an object, a determination is made as to whether the object is being managed by a composite flow, and if so, what business process to use next.

The main cell switches according to actual data, drawing power from a voltage source at each transition. To maintain a consistent voltage level at the output, the dummy cell creates a transition to draw power from the voltage source responsive to a lack of transition in the main cell. Each cell pair has a dedicated voltage source. Also, the MSB thermometer sub-converter can include a load matching circuit to match the parasitic capacitance of the LSB thermometer sub-converter at an output.

  • Patent number: 7674362
Abstract: A method for fabricating a conductive bump structure of a circuit board is disclosed. The circuit board with a plurality of electrical connection pads is provided. An insulating protective layer and a resist layer are successively applied on the circuit board, wherein openings are formed in the layers at positions corresponding to the pads to expose the pads. Then, a conductive layer is formed on surfaces of the resist layer and openings, and a metal layer is formed on the conductive layer via electroplating and filled in the openings. Subsequently, the metal layer and conductive layer formed on the resist layer are removed via thinning, so as to form metal bumps on the pads. After the resist layer is removed, the metal bumps are covered by an adhesive layer to form a conductive bump structure for electrically connecting the circuit board to the external electronic component.

  • Patent number: 7661967
Abstract: A retractable memory drive in accordance with the present invention comprises a top casing, a middle carrier, an electronic device such as a USB thumb drive, and a bottom casing. A positioning device on the middle carrier has a portion that protrudes outside the casing and operates like a button. The location of the positioning device where the button is located has two key attributes. First, there is a protrusion that acts as a lock with the casing. Second, the area below the button is not rigid and so it gives way when pressure is applied to the button. The top and bottom casings provide a casing structure which includes two detents. One detent is for locking the device with the connector in the extended position, and one detent for locking the device with the connector retracted in the in position. This allows for just one press of the extended portion of the positioning device to unlock it from its present position. When the device reaches its new position it will automatically lock.
