  • Patent number: 7659783
Abstract: A phase-locked loop (PLL) to provide clock generation for high-speed memory interface is presented as the innovate PLL (IPLL). The IPLL architecture is able to tolerate external long loop delay without deteriorating jitter performance. The IPLL comprises in part a common mode feedback circuit with a current mode approach, so as to minimize the effects of mismatch in charge-pump circuit, for instance. The voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) of the IPLL is designed using a mutually interpolating technique generating a 50% duty clock output, beneficial to high-speed double data rate applications. The IPLL further comprises loop filter voltages that are directly connected to each VCO cell of the IPLL. Conventional voltage-to-current (V-I) converter between loop filter and VCO is hence not required. A tight distribution of VCO gain curves is therefore obtained for the present invention across process corners and varied temperatures.

  • Patent number: 7635621
Abstract: A lateral double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) device is disclosed. The LDMOS device comprises a gate region and a body region under the gate region. The LDMOS device includes an enhanced drift region under the gate region. The enhanced drift region touches the body region. By designing the device such that the enhanced drift region overlaps and compensates the lateral tail of the body region of the LDMOS transistor, the Ron*area product is reduced. Accordingly, the on-resistance is significantly reduced while minimally affecting the breakdown voltage of the device.

  • Patent number: 7627484
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for managing access control for a business process that is managed using a state machine. A domain represents the various trading mechanisms that are supported by a business process. Domains are placed at the highest level in a tree structure. Within each domain, there is one or more different flow types defined, such as flow types for buyers and sellers. Within each flow type, one or more flows or business processes may be defined. A flow defines the order of the steps required to produce an object. Each flow typically begins with a mandatory “start” state, having one or more transitions to additional states. Each transition may contain an access control guard. The guards on the transitions leading from the start state can be referenced to determine the user's authorization to access the domains, flow types, and flows.

  • Patent number: 7621183
Abstract: An angular velocity sensor has two masses which are laterally disposed in an X-Y plane and indirectly connected to a frame. The two masses are linked together by a linkage such that they necessarily move in opposite directions along Z. Angular velocity of the sensor about the Y axis can be sensed by driving the two masses into Z-directed antiphase oscillation and measuring the angular oscillation amplitude thereby imparted to the frame. In a preferred embodiment, the angular velocity sensor is fabricated from a bulk MEMS gyroscope wafer, a cap wafer and a reference wafer. In a further preferred embodiment, this assembly of wafers provides a hermetic barrier between the masses and an ambient environment.
