Abstract: The hydrocarbon refrigerant and detergent composition is a hydrocarbon-based composition, which may be used as a refrigerant for air conditioners, refrigerators or the like, and which may also be used as a detergent for cleaning precision components, such as semiconductor chips, motherboards or the like. The hydrocarbon composition includes about 5.0% ethane, about 60.0% propane, about 5.0% isobutene and about 30.0% butane by volume.
Abstract: A novel and improved method and apparatus provide for controlling an operation of an access terminal while processing a signal from an access point in a communication system. Various aspects of the invention provide for an access terminal to disable a handoff process when its demodulator or decoder is operating to demodulate or decode a control message received from an access point. The operation of the access terminal is controlled in a manner that prevents terminating prematurely the demodulation and decoding process of a control signal by a handoff process. As a result, the access terminal may continue operating in a normal wake up/ sleep cycle period while conserving its battery power.

Abstract: A method and device for energy conversion from a moving fluid to electrical energy. The device includes at least one magnetic structure, at least one coil structure, a rotating component, and a rotary to linear motion conversion mechanism. The at least one coil structure includes electrically conductive material. The rotating component rotates relative to a corresponding axis of rotation in response to forces applied by the moving fluid on a structure coupled to the rotating component. The rotary to linear motion conversion mechanism is coupled to the rotating component. Rotation of the rotating component around the corresponding axis of rotation generates a relative linear displacement between the at least one magnetic structure and at least one coil in the at least one coil structure. The relative linear displacement between the at least one magnetic structure and the at least one coil generates electrical energy in the at least one coil structure.

Abstract: Methods and devices for treating anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, bronchial constriction, and/or asthma include providing an electrical impulse to a selected region of the vagus nerve of a patient suffering from anaphylaxis to block and/or modulate nerve signals that would regulate the function of, for example, myocardial tissue, vasodilation/constriction and/or pulmonary tissue.
Abstract: A receiver may train its equalizer using consecutive pilot bursts, divide the traffic between the consecutive pilot bursts into multiple sub-segments, and interpolate the trained equalizer coefficients to obtain the coefficients for equalizing one or more of the sub-segments. The receiver may also determine signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR) values based on each of the consecutive pilot bursts, and interpolate the SINR for decoding one or more of the sub-segments. The receiver may be an access terminal receiver operating in a code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular system.
Abstract: Laundry detergent and cleaning compositions comprising alkoxylated polyalkanolamine polymers obtainable by condensation of N-(hydroxyalkyl)amines and reacting the remaining hydroxy and/or secondary amino groups of the condensation product with alkylene oxides and/or derivatives obtainable by quaternization, protonation, sulphation and/or phosphation of said polymers.

Abstract: A method of losslessly compressing and encoding signals representing image information is claimed. A lossy compressed data file and a residual compressed data file are generated. When the lossy compressed data file and the residual compressed data file are combined, a lossless data file that is substantially identical to the original data file is created.

Abstract: A memory controller implemented within a programmable integrated circuit can include a user interface having a command register and a plurality of data First-In-First-Out (FIFO) memories, wherein the command register can receive an address of a data FIFO memory of the plurality of data FIFO memories. A core controller coupled to the user interface can, responsive to an instruction from the user interface, generate control signals that initiate an operation within a memory device coupled to the core controller. A physical layer coupling with the core controller, the user interface, and the memory device can, responsive to a read operation of the memory device, store data received from the memory device within the selected data FIFO memory according to the address received in the command register.

Abstract: Provided is a technology for monitoring the electrical resistance of an element such as a fuse whose resistance is changed due to the electrical stress among internal circuits included in a semiconductor device. The present invention provides a monitoring circuit to monitor the change in the device specification during the device is being programmed and after the device is programmed. The present invention enables the verification of an optimized condition to let the device have a certain electrical resistance, by comparing the load voltage and the fuse voltage with the reference voltage that can sense the range of resistance variation more precisely. Also, it can guarantee device reliability since it is still possible to sense electrical resistance after the electrical stress is being given. Also, the present invention can increase the utility of the fuse by possessing an output to monitor electrical resistance sensed inside of the semiconductor.
Abstract: A high voltage generation circuit includes a clock logic unit configured to generate a switch clock signal and a pump clock signal, that has a varying frequency, in response to an input signal, a high voltage unit configured to generate a high voltage in response to the pump clock signal, a high voltage switch configured to output a selection signal in response to the switch clock signal, and a switching element configured to transfer the high voltage, generated by the high voltage unit, to an output node in response to the selection signal.
Abstract: Laundry detergent and cleaning compositions comprising amphiphilic water-soluble alkoxylated polyalkylenimine polymer having an inner polyethylene oxide block comprising 20 to 50 polyethylene oxide units and an outer polypropylene oxide block comprising 10 to 50 polyethylene oxide units and especially to such alkoxylated polyalkylenimines wherein the ratio of polyethylene oxide units and polypropylene oxide units is proportionally related to the square root of the number of polyalkylenimine units present in the backbone.
