  • Patent number: 5079458
Abstract: A non-contacting linear drive includes a fixed guidance part constructed as a profile part whose magnetic material in the vicinity of helixes (3,4) approaches (8,11,17) the latter and, at a distance from the helixes, forms a return path to the next helix. The rotary part has spaced double helixes, (3,4), a constant magnetic field (7) being produced in the magnetic circuit formed by a double helix and the magnetic return path. A very simple and economic construction and manufacture are consequently possible. The guidance part (2) can be constructed as a profile rail (9) or as a tube (10,15) and has window-like recesses (6), corrugations (11,12) or ribs (17). The double helix (1) can be constructed with permanent magnets (14) placed in the helixes with radial orientation or with permanent magnets (14) provided between soft magnetic helixes in axial orientation.

  • Patent number: 5078586
Abstract: An arrangement for securing a die to a die holder for use as a molding die in an injection molding machine permits the die to be oriented on the die holder in a number of different angularly rotated positions. Clamping bolts secured to the die extend perpendicularly of a contacting plane between the die and die holder and project into corresponding holes in the die holder. Slides are provided in passageways in the die holder with the passageways extending parallel to the contacting plane. The slides are displaceable in the passageways into securing and clamping engagement with the clamping bolts. The slides are wedge-shaped and inter-engage corresponding wedge-shaped recesses in the outer surface of the clamping bolts. The slides can be displaced by actuating members. Hydraulic piston cylinder units can be used as the actuating members for holding the slides in the clamped position during operation.

  • Patent number: 5076369
Abstract: A length-adjustable upper steering arm for a three-point coupling device, including a connecting eye having a threaded shank, and a coupling hook having a threaded shank, both of which are received in threaded bores of a sleeve, and which threads extend in opposite directions. To achieve a locked position or disengaged position of the coupling hook relative to the sleeve, there are provided an actuating lever and a locking ratchet which is partially pivotable independently thereof. Because the spring-loaded locking ratchet may be pivoted from the disengaged position into the engaged position independently of the actuating lever, the thread is not subject to jamming forces.

Abstract: A hard metal cutting blade comprises a blade body having front and rear faces. The blade body is meant for engagement to a tool head and for rotation about a rotation axis. The blade is moved in a feed direction for the fine machining of bores that extend parallel to the rotation axis. The front face of the blade includes a recessed chip face which defines a cutting edge that has a main blade that is followed by a secondary blade. The main blade is divided into two regions, a first region that is almost flush or slightly inclined with respect to the secondary blade, and a second region which inclines at a greater angle and is spaced further from the secondary blade. An abrasion-resistant hard material coats the blade body. This material is ground away from the chip face, at least in the area of the secondary blade, to provide a radius of no more than 5 .mu.m for the edge of the secondary blade.
