Patent number: 5068374Abstract: A method is disclosed for the preparation of anhydrous tin-dicarboxylate-dihalide. Anydrous tin-(II)-halide is reacted with an excess amount of acetic acid anhydride at temperatures of about between 20.degree. to 100.degree. C. while passing oxygen through the reaction mixture or adding an oxygen yielding agent such as hydrogen peroxide. The tin-diacetate-dihalide thus formed is separated and is further reacted with aliphatic carboxylic acid having more than 4 carbon atoms or the corresponding acid anhydrides at the temperatures of 80.degree. to 150.degree. C. while the liberated acetic acid anhydride or acetic acid is removed by distillation.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1991Date of Patent: November 26, 1991Assignee: T. Patent number: 5067691Abstract: A ball cock including a housing of a thermoplastic material. The housing is composed of two parts which are integrally connected to each other. A ball plug is made integrally with a pivot of plastics material. The pivot is mounted in a bore extending transversely of the passage opening of the housing. A seal is provided for sealing the pivot to the outside. The plane of separation of the two housing parts extends transversely of the passage opening and through the axis of rotation of the pivot. The two housing parts have recesses at least in the region of the seal for the pivot. The recesses receive a component which is integrally connected in a tight manner with the housing parts.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1990Date of Patent: November 26, 1991Assignee: Georg Fischer AGInventors: Bruno Hunziker, Peter Kunz

Patent number: 5065639Abstract: An assembly consisting of two bevel gear angular drives which are pivotably connected to each other via a pivot bearing, the bearing system including two bevel roller bearings which are tensioned relative to each other between the two sleeves. The shaft carrying the two bevel gears is also supported via bevel roller bearings in the sleeves. In this way it is possible to obtain an assembly which is suitable for implements which transmit high tensile forces to the assembly, without the bearing system and the rotary function of the two drives being adversely affected.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1990Date of Patent: November 19, 1991Assignee: Jean Walterscheid GmbHInventors: Michael Flanhardt, Andreas Roth, Clemens Nienhaus

Patent number: 5066951Abstract: The present invention is directed to a circuit arrangement for adjustment of the triggering point of the keys in an inductive keyboard. The keyboard consists essentially of a printed circuit board designed in a matrix-like manner, comprising coils superimposed upon each other, into which a ferrite pin plunges when a key is actuated. By the cooperation of a pulse generator with a current switch which can be influenced through control lines, said cooperation being controllable by a microcomputer, a current pulse is coupled from one coil to another coil and is recognized as a readout signal by a controllable readout amplifier and is conducted further to a central unit. The adjustment of the triggering point of the keys is accomplished by varying the steepness of the driving current pulse, for example, by means of a blocking time duration in the charging of a capacitor determined only once, which durations are stored in a table of values, or it is derived from the fundamental interlinked signals of the keys.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1989Date of Patent: November 19, 1991Assignee: Mannesmann Kienzle GmbHInventors: Horst Munster, Hans-Jurgen Wendt

Patent number: 5063841Abstract: In a reciprocating piston press where a compressing piston operates in a nonuniform manner, the piston cooperates with conveyor prongs which move material into the path of the piston. The conveyor prongs are guided by a crank and rocker linkage mechanism by way of elliptical gear wheels for movement around a kidney-shaped orbit. The prongs perform a more rapid motion in the region of a fill opening for charging material into a compaction channel containing the compressing piston. The reciprocating piston press is, in particular, employed for compacting cardboard waste in combination with a feeder space which opens into the compaction channel for charging cardboard waste into the channel. The feeder space and piston press are located in a stationary housing.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Gebruder Welger GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5064145Abstract: A model airplane is provided wherein the fuselage formed with a tail is horizontally divided and provided at said aft end portion with a vertical stabilizing surface and two horizontal stabilizing surfaces. It is desirable that the aft end portion of the fuselage should be held together and a root or roots of the stabilizing surfaces be located with a smooth and streamlined surface being maintained on the underside of the aft end of the fuselage by insertion from the aft end of the fuselage. This is achieved in that a duct which is open at the aft end of the fuselage extends through the fuselage portions and portions of at least one root of a stablizing surface, and in that a pin is fittingly inserted in the duct. This method of connecting eliminates the need for screws, detents and a well in the underside of the aft end region of the fuselage.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Fritz Wagener GmbHInventor: Claus Wagener

Patent number: 5064726Abstract: A hollow composite member for accommodating torques and/or tensile, compressive or bending forces in the case of which a circumferentially uniform tensile prestress is generated in an outer material layer essentially along its entire axial length by inner supporting members accommodating pressure in the radial direction, and where, especially in the outer material layer a compressive prestress which is either uniform or increased towards the center is prevailing as a result of inner supporting members accommodating tension in the axial direction.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1989Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Emitec Gesellschaft fur Emissionstechnologie m.b.H.Inventor: Helmut Swars

Patent number: 5063844Abstract: An offset rotary machine including a printing unit with two plate cylinders which are arranged at a predetermined distance from each other. The two plate cylinders are mounted so as to be engageable and disengageable alternatingly against a rubber blanket cylinder and an inking mechanism. A single inking roller is pressed against the engaged plate cylinder. Only a single dampening roller of the dampening mechanism is pressed against the inking roller. The alternating engagement of the two plate cylinders makes it possible to carry out a flying plate exchange while maintaining the ink/water balance and, consequently, preventing a misprint until the ink/water balance has been reached. Moreover, an additional printing unit, inking mechanism and dampening mechanism is not necessary for the flying plate exchange.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1989Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Simom S.A.Inventor: Thomas E. Patent number: 5064153Abstract: A system in which a surface tension device is connected at the outlet of the propellant tanks, said surface tension device having surface tension gas barrier means, the presence of gas bubbles at the inlet of said surface tension device is detected and a detect signal is produced, said detect signal indicating that the propellant tanks are empty. The detect signal then causes the spacecraft thrusters to be fed from an auxiliary propellant tank. The latter can be implemented inside a main propellant tank.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 1989Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Assignee: Agence Spatiale EuropeenneInventors: Philippe Gindre, Peter Hahnel, Hartmut Helmke

Patent number: 5062513Abstract: The invention relates to the guidance of the hub (23) of a clutch disc (13) of a friction clutch (1), independently of the splining (27) of the gear shaft (29). The guidance of the clutch disc (13) takes place through a bearing (41) which supports itself for the one part on the hub (23) of the clutch disc (13) and for the other part on a component of the friction clutch (1). Due to this arrangement a satisfactory centering of the clutch disc (13) is guaranteed, the pilot bearing for the guidance of the gear shaft can be eliminated and the fitting of clutch and gear on the internal combustion engine is substantially facilitated.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1989Date of Patent: November 5, 1991Assignee: Fichtel & Sachs AGInventors: Wolfgang Grosspietsch, Erich Scheer
