Abstract: A safety filling device for filling a liquid anesthetic into a filling space of an anesthetic evaporator from a storage container by means of a filling adapter, which can be pushed into an insertion opening, with a closing element, which interrupts the flow of liquid anesthetic in a switched-off position, and with a control element, which is movable in a stationary housing and sets the states of switching. A preferential position is set on the closing element during the introduction of the filling adapter into the insertion opening. A follower blocking the switched-off position is provided on the closing element between the housing and the control element, and a coding part, which engages the follower in a manner eliminating the blocking of the closing element in the operating position of the filling adapter, is provided on the filling adapter.

Abstract: A method and system for secured data communication where a plurality of users communicate through ports on a common communication channel. The users communicate by transmitting and receiving data packets. The data packets are transmitted with a variety of fields of information, including but not limited to a destination address, a source address and a source port ID. A security module is connected to the common communication channel and reads the data packet contents and the source port ID. The security module then checks this information to see if the data packet is eligible to be transmitted on the common communication channel and to check which ports are eligible to receive the data packet. If the data packet is not eligible to be transmitted on the common communication channel, the security module destroys the data packet. The security module also sends out a security message on a security channel indicating which ports are eligible to receive the data packet.

Abstract: The present invention has an arrangement that two ends of a rectangular metal plate are turned up and the two ends are caused to approach at the central portion of the rectangular metal plate while maintaining a small gap so that a flat-pipe-type connection plate is formed, and the ends of elongated metal plates are slightly bent downwards to form insertion members which are inserted into the upper central gap of the connection plate from two directions. The thus-arranged structure causes rain in the connection portion to enter through the gap between the ends of the elongated plates corresponding to the upper central gap of the connection plate. Rain allowed to enter flows downwards through the flat-pipe-like connection plate. Since the lower portion of the connection plate is positioned upper than the lower elongated plate, rain is discharged onto the lower following elongated plate.

Abstract: An initial step of terminating the knitting of the sock on the side of the toe which is left open and performing the following operating steps: moving away the plate; lifting the knitting needles, with the sinkers being closed; further lifting the needles, with the sinkers being open, until the stitches are located above the nib of the sinkers; picking up the stitches and retaining them; lowering the needles; transferring the sock out of the knitting head of the machine, at a predetermined distance therefrom; turning the sock inside out; transferring the stitches of a first semirank or partial knit course (x) onto the corresponding stitches of the second semirank or partial knit course (y); disposing the stitches of the first and second partial knit course (x,y) along an arc of circumference at constant angular distance, with a pitch preset according to the desired hook-up fineness; linking the thus disposed pairs of stitches and making one or more closing knots; cutting the linking thread; moving the sock wi
Abstract: A marking device with a reciprocating needle. The needle is attached to an armature which reciprocates in a slot in a housing by a crank which is rotated by a motor in the housing. Vibration of the motor and tolerances between the armature and track cause unwanted movements of the needle in a plane perpendicular to the reciprocating motion. Guide bars and bushings connect the armature to the track. Tolerances between the guide bars and bushings are less than tolerances between the armature and track. An armature bracket is detachably connected to the housing in order to partially or fully close off an open end of the track after the armature has been inserted into the track. Guide bars and bushings then connect the armature and the armature bracket. The motor is supported on only one end by bolts extending from a mounting wall inside the housing. A damping plate is positioned between the motor and the mounting wall, and a damping ring is positioned between, and contacts, the damping ring and the housing.

Abstract: The universal joint prosthesis has a cap which has an outer shell, an inner shell, a calotte-shaped, smooth outer surface formed by the outer shell and an inner surface formed by the inner shell and having projections distributed along the circumference. At least some projections have undercuts and/or are provided with through holes. The outer material forming the outer shell has, with the same surface characteristics, a smaller coefficient of friction than the inner material forming the inner shell. On the other hand, the inner material permits a firmer bond with a bone than the outer material. The universal joint prosthesis also has perforated sleeves projecting from the cap. The universal joint prothesis can usually be attached firmly to a bone without a binder, the undercuts and/or holes helping to provide a permanent connection between the cap and the bone.
Abstract: The present invention describes an apparatus for creasing and cutting an endless web of cardboard. A pair of rollers operates on the web while another pair of rollers is in an inactive position where the tools mounted on the rollers can be moved to new positions. When it is time for different operations to be performed on the web the original rollers working on the web are removed from their working position and the rollers previously in the inactive position are moved to the working position. The rollers now in the working position have had their tools aligned for the new operation while they were in the inactive position. The rollers originally in the working position are now in an inactive position where the tools on these rollers can be aligned for another operation. Each pair of rollers is independently driven to spin independent of the position of the roller.
