  • Patent number: 5532539
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the safe oscillation build-up of ultrasonic disintegrators and to a circuitry for carrying-out the method. In particular the present invention is a method and a circuitry substantially irrespective of deviations of the mechanical resonance frequency, with a start/stop generator 8 that periodically blocks the output of the h.f. generator 1 and maintains the blocking for a fixed dead time and then periodically repeats this procedure if during the scanning of a wide frequency band of the h.f. generator 1 the feedback amplitude of the piezo-disc 4 disposed at the ultrasonic transducer 3 falls below the value required for a safe oscillation build-up.

  • Patent number: 5531173
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning the foot portion of tubular knitted articles for each article includes, a hosiery support rotating about a longitudinal axis and one or more corresponding photocells for detecting one or more marks suitably inserted in the fabric of the article. The hosiery support is made up of two coaxial elements, with the free end of the element of the hosiery support being in correspondence with the stocking foot and being so shaped as to form a flaring element for the corresponding pad. The pad is coaxial to the hose and is connected to a driving member to drive the pad into rotation together with a corresponding stocking or hosiery portion. The pad is engaged to a corresponding cylinder actuator with a horizontal axis, to allow it to move close to and respectively away from the hosiery support.

  • Patent number: 5531802
Abstract: A device with an extraction fan for use for drawing off ambient air loaded with harmful substances during, e.g., laser surgery or HF surgery, is passed through a filter device. For routine use, easy replacement of the filter should be possible, its loading time is prolonged, and the arrangement of the filter does not compromise the easy handling of the suction line. To achieve this, a transparent sleeve 6, into which a cylindrical folded filter 10 is pulled via a perforation support tube 26, is installed in the suction line, or the filter has a hole 29 provided with a support lining, so that the filter can be directly attached to the suction-side connecting branch 5. The filter 10 is flown through radially, and thus it offers a large filter surface at minimum extension.

  • Patent number: 5530842
Abstract: A local net area network, or LAN, configuration is provided with a multiple generic LAN channel architecture which can be logically and dynamically changed. The configuration control can be applied to each module of the network and to each port of a module of a LAN hub. The architecture provides multiple LAN protocols to be used simultaneously, as needed, through protocol specific functions. Industry standard protocol such as: token bus, token ring, and fiber distributed data interface (FDDI), can be implemented using the generic channel architecture and its characteristics providing respective network functions. The architecture also provides a digital collision detection method and provides information necessary for precise network statistics monitoring. The token passing ring architecture provides a logical ring formation within the generic channel. A token passing bus architecture uses modified Ethernet.TM.

  • Patent number: 5524602
Abstract: A Gyro-Kinetic Hydraulic Bow Stabilizer disclosed for the reduction of random force exerted by a state of the art compound bow. A piston assembly (quadraulic unit) includes a hollow cavity cylindrical chamber, calculated tension spring, opposing poller pistons, retaining ring and fasteners, along with a viscous fluid in a capsule housing. The housing includes a cylinder tube closed at both ends by secured caps, and attached at one end by an energy transferring mounting bolt. The quadraulic unit moves laterally along the elongation direction of the stabilizer and contacts a piston rod portion of said poller pistons against a cap wall of the housing, developing multiple hydraulic events. Conventional lateral stabilization, which exists along with internal stabilization of the hollow cavity, fires pressurized tuned ports of different axial orientation on the outer periphery of the quadraulic unit.

  • Patent number: 5524330
Abstract: An electronics component face plate and captured screw assembly and method of forming the assembly. A face plate of sheet metal, such as one provided with indicia (providing source information or information as to indicators, connection elements or controls) is provided with a hole of a diameter sized to correspond to a portion of a screw, between a screw head and screw threading wherein the threading has a diameter greater than the hole. A tab structure is cut into the metal in a circular pattern in a region surrounding the hole. Tabs are formed by removing portions of the metal to leave a portion of the metal surrounded on each side by an area wherein the metal has been removed. The tabs are then pressed upwardly. In doing this, the original hole with the diameter as noted above, expands somewhat such that the threaded area of the screw can be inserted through the hole.
