Abstract: The mechanism prevents erroneous commands caused by brief accidental pulses an dcomprises, in conjuction with a rotary shutter that moves intermittently, a chamber with a float connected to said shutter, the pressure on which is generated by the arrival of fluid and the resultant filling of said chamber; a discharge device causes said chamber to empty slowly within a period of time that is not less than a predetermined limit and which starts when the working pressure is released; cam devices cause a one-step movement of said shutter only when said chamber is completely empty.
Abstract: This eliminates the possibility of the generation of quantizing noise in a small amplitude portion of the waveform when it is compressed to an 8-bit quantized form. The present invention is effective when a percussive or like musical tone, provided in the form of a 16-bit quantized digital form is compressed to the 8-bit quantized form.
Abstract: To permit single firing in a machine gun by a mechanical method, a trip lever is moved by a control surface attached to the weapon housing during the weapon recoil after triggering a shot. This motion causes the trip lever to disengage a coupling on the crankshaft. Because of this, the trigger plate can return to its starting position by means of spring force, independently of the position of the cocking lever. The recoil breech can then be caught by the trigger in the weapon housing. If the cocking lever is moved back, it again couples because of the spring.

Abstract: With the device a repositioning of ammunition feeds of an automatic weapon into various feed positions and a secured position is achieved. The selective positioning is achieved by a lever which is pivotally supported alongside a drive shaft and abuts by an integrally formed cam at one end face of a pivoting support part axially against a sleeve which is axially displaceable on the drive shaft. The sleeve is under the biasing force of a spring. The end face of the sleeve biasing toward the pivoting support part of the lever possesses also a cam which is in operative connection with a cam of the pivoting support which upon engagement effects a coupling driving engagement of the lever with the shaft. The mechanism acts to hold the lever of the ammunition feed in a respective position by means of the spring.

Abstract: A sewing machine is provided with a mechanism which is actuated by a drive unit and engages with a needle point insert. The mechanism moves a needle plate insert from a sewing position raised above a needle plate, in which the needle plate reinforces a fabric being clamped to a fabric holder, to a resting position not raised above the needle plate, in which the fabric holder may be moved and the fabric may be changed. The mechanism insures that this movement can be effected in a straightforward manner and with only slight wear and abrasion and while affording accurate transmission. The mechanism is fashioned as a straight-line mechanism with a first oscillating crank which is adjusted for setting the operating height of the needle plate insert and a separator crank for adjusting the insert between a rest position and an operating position.
Abstract: A method for measuring the dew point according to patent application P 36 33 015 is expanded so that an automatic zero point correction can be carried out. For this purpose, the heating power on the heating device is raised to a point, at which the dew evaporates and the sensor-specific property, for example the capacity, is measured and supplied to the evaluating unit as a calibration signal.
Abstract: A valve comprises a connection plate attached to the housing, such plate having a sealing surface facing into such housing, a flat spool arranged to be able to be reciprocated in a direction parallel to such sealing surface so as to sealingly wipe said surface and to connect together and separate from each other ports opening into said surface, said ports being at the ends of ducts extending through said plate, and means for operating said spool by reciprocating same, said operating means taking the form of wall means defining operating spaces at the ends of the spool, means for passing an operating fluid into said spaces for changing the volume thereof so that when the volume of one space is increased the volume of the other is decreased, said wall means being at least in part secured to said housing, said operating means further defining two operating surfaces at the two ends of said spool, said operating surfaces and said wall means part secured to said housing being connected together by at least one flex
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for insufflating gas, in particular CO.sup.2 into the human or animal body, especially for laparoscope, with an insufflation instrument, for example, a Veress inflow needle, with the following structures arranged successively along a gas line a: pressure reducer 1a throughflow meter and pressure meter and with a control circuit connected with the throughflow meter and a pressure meter via respective control lines. The device is without noise-generating magnetic valves, and the intra-abdominal pressure can be measured continuously without elaborate switch overs. The pressure reducer is electrically controllable and connected with the evaluating and control circuit via a control line and is controllable via control line as a function of a clock generator and a nominal pressure generator.
Abstract: A closed filled bag is formed using a cylindrical mandrel by feeding a bag forming sheet of a heat-sealable film which is of a web and is directed in a manner to one side of the mandrel so that it leaves two marginal edges on the opposite side of the mandrel which are guided into abutting relationship while the body thereof is formed into a cylinder around the mandrel. The zipper tape is fed to the mandrel and it is provided with spaced apart zipper elements which during feeding are folded into juxtaposition so that a U-shaped zipper tape is fed to the mandrel to overlie the two marginal edges which are of the bag forming sheet and the zipper tape has marginal edges below the zipper elements which are secured to the marginal edges of the bag forming sheet.
Abstract: A new mass damper that avoids the formation of a higher-order resonance by utilizing the inertial resistance of a flowing liquid is disclosed. This damper solves the problem of an additional new degree of freedom due to the additional mass system associated with the conventional mass damper and makes it possible to control random vibration with a broad spectrum such as earthquakes. Also, several examples in which this damper is used for multilevel structures are disclosed.
