Abstract: A method is provided for measuring the run time of an ultrasonic pulse in the determination of the flow velocity of a gas in a breathing gas volume flow sensor (1). The breathing gas volume flow sensor (1) has a flow duct (3) with a measuring section, wherein the measuring section is arranged in parallel to or at an angle (?) smaller than 90° to the flow duct (3). The measuring section has an ultrasound transmitter (5) and an ultrasound receiver (7). The method determines the run time of the ultrasonic pulse from the receiving signal spectrum without the damping of the ultrasonic pulse having an effect on the run time measurement by an ultrasonic pulse being triggered by a transmitting pulse at the ultrasound transmitter (5). The ultrasound receiver (7) sends a receiving signal and the receiving signal is recorded as a first receiving signal data record as a function of time after the transmitting pulse.

The electrodes (4, 4?) are arranged such that they are in two-dimensional contact with the electrolyte carrier (10). The housing upper part (3) and the housing lower part (2) are connected with one another such that the electrodes (4, 4?) and the electrolyte carrier (10) are pressed against one another in such a way that they are secured against displacement. The housing upper part (3) and the housing lower part (2) are partially in direct two-dimensional contact with one another, and the connection of the housing upper part (3) and the housing lower part (2) in the area of the direct two-dimensional contact is present at least along a closed figure, which surrounds the electrodes (4, 4?) and the electrolyte carrier (10).
Abstract: The machine provides a path (3) for feed of the fabric with a transfer system, for example a pneumatic system. Along the aforesaid path the fabric can be treated in rope form or in open width according to the machine settings.
Abstract: A market research method is provided, the method including analyzing shopper path data representing a plurality of shopper paths through a store. The analysis typically include, at predetermined time intervals, for each of a plurality of shoppers traveling through the store, and for each of one or more displays positioned in the store: determining a simulated line of sight for each shopper; calculating a distance from each shopper to the display; calculating a time of exposure of the shopper to the display; calculating a peripheral angle of the display from the shoppers simulated line of sight; and calculating a rotation angle of the display relative to the shopper's simulated line of sight. Further, the method may also include, for each of the one or more displays, calculating a visibility measure based on the time of exposure, distance, peripheral angle and rotational angle measured at each of the time intervals, for each of the plurality of shoppers.
Abstract: A section element for constructing frames, supporting structures and the like made up of a section body (10) having one or more flat surfaces (11) and one or more rounded sectors (12) as parts of a circumference with a preset diameter. In correspondence with each flat surface (11) a longitudinal groove (13) is provided with parallel borders defining undercuts (15). The section body can be connected to other elements by means of clamps (16) each one delimiting at least one cylindrical in diameter housing matching that of the cylindrical surface defined by the rounded sectors of the section body and having at least one additional centering member designed to fit in the groove along at least one of the flat surfaces.
Abstract: Injection molding of a part having a nonuniform thickness is provided. One disclosed embodiment of an injection molding device includes one or more side walls, a first mold surface intersecting the side walls and being stationary with respect to the side walls, and a second mold surface intersecting the side walls so as to define with the side walls and the first mold surface a cavity configured to receive a metered amount of injected molten thermoplastic material. The second mold surface is moveable toward the first mold surface in such a manner that a first end of the second mold surface moves a larger physical travel distance toward the first mold surface than does a second end of the second mold surface during a molding process.
Abstract: A method for improving starting of an engine that may be repeatedly stopped and started is presented. In one embodiment, the method skips combustion in at least one cylinder, according to the engine combustion order, to control engine speed when an engine is automatically restarted. The skipped combustion event may be related to a level of IMEP when combustion in a cylinder occurs under an operating condition.

Abstract: A mobile crusher unit is provided having a supporting framework (12) which is includes at least a crusher unit (13), a feed conveyor (11), and a dumping conveyor unit (14), and which can be relocated by means of a crawler undercarriage. To minimize construction height and weight the supporting framework and the traveling gear are configured as one unit, with parts of the supporting framework (12) serving as parts of the traveling gear, and with the crawlers (16) of the crawler vehicle protruding into recesses of the supporting framework.
Abstract: A method for supplying two types of fuel to an engine of a vehicle is disclosed. In one embodiment, an amount of a first fuel supplied to the engine is adjusted in response to a condition of a fuel separator. The method can improve vehicle drivability at least during some conditions.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for expediting engine spin-down in an engine that is shutdown during engine idle-stop conditions and restarted during restart conditions. In one example, the method comprises, during an automatic engine idle-stop, turning off spark, operating a first cylinder with a rich ratio of air to injected fuel richer than a rich flammability limit, operating a second cylinder with a lean ratio of air to injected fuel leaner than a lean flammability limit, and mixing un-combusted exhaust from the first and second cylinders with exhaust, the exhaust mixture being substantially stoichiometric.
