Abstract: A method is provided for separating CO2 from an exhaust gas flow of a combustion process. The method includes: compressing the gas flow and cooling the compressed gas flow. The method also includes feeding the cooled gas flow to a swirl nozzle and separating the CO2 from the gas flow in the swirl nozzle. The method also includes discharging the CO2 which is separated in the swirl nozzle from the swirl nozzle for separate further treatment. A CO2 separating device is also provided that separates CO2 from an exhaust gas flow of a combustion process that operates with fossil fuels. The device includes a swirl nozzle which is exposed to through-flow of the gas flow, a compressor located upstream or downstream of the swirl nozzle, and a plurality of cooling devices which are provided upstream of the swirl nozzle for cooling of the gas flow which comes from the compressor.

  • Patent number: 7984751
Abstract: A double-acting device for generating a synthetic jet is provided. The double-acting device includes a chamber having a cavity for a working fluid, a separating element for dividing the chamber into at least two sub-chambers, a control system connected to the chamber for controlling the separating element to act reciprocatingly, an input system connected to the chamber for inputting the working fluid to the chamber therethrough and an output system connected to the chamber for outputting the working fluid from the chamber therethrough. When the working fluid is pushed and pulled by a reciprocating action of the separating element, a train of vortices would be puffed and a non-zero-net-mass-flux fluid is generated through a designed structure and a defined arrangement of the input system and the output system.

  • Patent number: 7987206
Abstract: The file sharing system is able to provide a client with a single logical directory and reproduce the single logical directory in a remote site when the local site has stopped in use of a remote copy that is made between the local site and remote site. The first site provides the client with a logical directory that is constituted across respective nodes in the first site. The remote copy is executed between the first and second sites, and the data of both sites are synchronized. For the generation of the logical directory and the management of the remote copy, a common management table is used, and the management table is held by all of the nodes. In cases where the first site stops due to a fault, the second site utilizes information related to the remote copy in the management table to construct the logical directory and reproduces the logical directory to the second site.

  • Patent number: 7986955
Abstract: A wireless communication system implements wireless communications between a base station and a plurality of User Equipments (UEs) including paging of UEs by initially processing paging indicator information. A first embodiment involves a UE's physical layer L1 being configured for interpreting a paging indicator (PI) to activate a preset decoding configuration to process paging data in a pre-specified paging channel (PCH). A second embodiment involves the physical layer control of a next higher level, L2, interpreting the paging indicator and configuring the physical layer L1 to process paging data in a pre-specified PCH.

  • Patent number: 7984928
Abstract: A safety coupling for the releasable connection of a nozzle to a duct system is disclosed. The safety coupling is adjustable between a coupled position, in which the coupling parts are coupled together to lock the connection of the nozzle to the duct system, and a decoupled position, in which the coupling parts are separable to allow release of the nozzle from the duct system. An actuating member is arranged to move the coupling member from the coupled position into the decoupled position when the coupling member is subjected to a disengagement force exceeding a predetermined limit value.

  • Patent number: 7986976
Abstract: A remote controller/communicator device is described that aids in answering and processing incoming calls in a manner courteous to those in close proximity to the receiving party. These devices provide a silent, vibrating ring indication in a small wireless device that can be kept close to the user's body. Some embodiments also include bi-directional voice communications with a mobile phone thereby also implementing a wireless headset function. Additional embodiments further include a delayed “courtesy answer mode”, where the receiving party manually activates a recorded or automatically constructed message to be played for the caller, indicating that the receiving party will take their call shortly, and/or is relocating to a location where they will be better able to receive the call.

  • Patent number: 7983137
Abstract: According to the present invention, whether recoding pits are larger or smaller than diffraction limit is determined. Then, a signal process suitable for processing of the recording pits larger than the diffraction limit and a signal process suitable for processing of the recording pits smaller than diffraction limit are divided to divisionally perform equalizer processing. The respective signals subjected to the divisional processing are synthesized to obtain a processed output signal. A reproduction signal with reduced impact of intersymbol interference is thus obtained.
