Abstract: A satellite architecture and method for microwave interferometry radiating incrementally accumulating holography, used to create a high-gain, narrow-bandwidth actively-illuminated interferometric bistatic SAR whose VLBI has a baseline between its two bistatic apertures, each on a different satellite, that is considerably longer than the FOV, in contrast to prior art bistatic SAR where the interferometer baseline is shorter than the FOV. Three, six, and twelve satellite configurations are formed of VLA satellite VLBI triads, each satellite of the triad being in its own nominally circular orbit in an orbital plane mutually orthogonal to the others of the triad. VLBI pairs are formed by pairwise groupings of satellites in each VLA triad, with the third satellite being used as a control satellite to receive both Michelson interferometric data for phase closure and Fizeau interferometric imaging data that is recorded on a holographic disc, preserving phase.
Abstract: An object holding and releasing mechanism for use in combination with a kite, a flight string having a first end for being held by the flyer of the kite and having a second end, and an object to be released after being carried aloft by the kite. The object holding and releasing mechanism includes a first member for being attached to the kite; a holding mechanism for holding the object to be released; and a second member for being attached to the second end of the flight string, the second member being hingeably attached to the first member for movement between a closed position in which the object to be released is held by the holding mechanism and a opened position in which the object to be released is released by the holding mechanism, the second member being held in the closed position when the flight string is attached to the second member and is held taut, the second member being free to move to the opened position when the flight string is given slack.
Abstract: A duck decoy system for simulating a landing duck. The system includes a duck decoy body; a support member for being positioned above the duck decoy body; and elevator structure for coupling the duck decoy body to the support member and for lowering the duck decoy body downward from the support member to simulate a landing duck.
Abstract: According to the present invention a modular trial instrument having opposed ends for sizing of an implantable orthopedic prosthesis is provided. The instrument comprises a head component located at one end of the trial and having at least one connection portion and a stem component located at the other end of the trial defining a longitudinal axis. The stem component includes a tip portion and a connection portion longitudinally opposed from the tip portion. The tip portion of stem component is received in the medullary canal of a bone. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the trial instrument can be used for sizing an implantable orthopedic prosthesis for any limb, for example, a humerus or a femur.
Abstract: An apparatus for storing and automatically dispensing a desired quantity of animal feed onto a feed dish. The apparatus includes a hopper for storing a quantity of animal feed; a receptacle for receiving animal feed from the hopper; an impeller positioned adjacent the face surface of the receptacle; a motor for rotating the impeller when activated to cause the impeller to sweep animal feed from the face surface of the receptacle; a switch for activating and deactivating the motor; a timer mechanism for causing the switch to activate the motor after a set period of time has elapsed; and a control mechanism for causing the switch to deactivate the motor after the impeller has rotated a pre-set amount.
Abstract: An apparatus to inject molten material into and evacuate gasses from a mold cavity, including a pair of ganged pistons in communication with the mold cavity. An injection piston injects molten material into the cavity from the bottom, and a vacuum piston pulls a vacuum in the cavity from the top through a vacuum line. A filter in the vacuum line catches any material that escapes from the mold cavity. A vacuum regulator may selectively regulate the vacuum in the vacuum line. During the injection sequence's first phase, a vacuum is created at a rate proportional to the rate of injection. Part-way through the piston stroke, a second phase is entered and causes a vacuum break valve to open and control the amount of vacuum. The injection sequence has a step function velocity, with the second phase being at a much higher velocity than the first.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for restoring moisture to lint cotton in a cotton gin. The moisture level of lint cotton passing from a battery condenser to a bale press, and the rate of lint cotton passing from the battery condenser to the bale press are measured, and, based on those measurements and the desired moisture level of the lint cotton at the bale press, a precise amount of water is sprayed onto the lint cotton as it passes from the battery condenser to the bale press to bring the moisture level of the lint cotton at the bale press to that desired level.
Abstract: A textured coating and method of applying same. The coating comprises a high-solids polyamide epoxy having a resin and a hardener, and the epoxy is mixed with a texture aggregate filler being selected from the group consisting of perlite, glass microballoons, glass bubbles, phenolic microballoons, Q cel microspheres, and extendospheres, with the filler preferably being expanded perlite of a size such that about 20% maximum by weight is retained on a U.S. Std. Sieve No. 50 and such that about 65% maximum by weight is retained on a U.S. Std. Sieve No. 100. The epoxy and the filler are mixed in about equal volume.
Abstract: A modular radial head system including a modular implant for replacing the head of the proximal end of a radius and for articulating with the capitellum of a humerus. The modular implant includes a modular head and an modular stem. The system further includes a modular radial head locking instrument for locking the modular head and the modular stem of the modular implant to one another. The locking instrument includes a first jaw, a second jaw, and a control mechanism for urging the first and second jaws together to provide offset axial compression of the modular head and the modular stem of the modular implant.

Abstract: An apparatus for mounting a portable massaging machine to a support member having a seat portion. The apparatus includes anchor structure for being held fixed to the support member by the person using the apparatus; a backboard member attached to the anchor structure; and securing structure for movably securing the portable massaging machine to the backboard member.
Abstract: A distal radial plate including a longitudinal segment having a proximal end and a distal end; a transverse segment having a lateral end and a medical end; the distal end of the longitudinal segment attached to the transverse segment intermediate the lateral and medial ends of the transverse segment to form a T-shape; the longitudinal segment having a plurality of spherically recessed holes and having a slot with a proximal end and a distal end; the distal end of the slot having a spherical recess; the proximal end of the slot having a beveled edge which converges distally with the spherical recess of the slot; the transverse segment having a plurality of spherically recessed holes. An extender seats in one of the holes in the transverse segment of the distal radial plate and provides an additional hole on the lateral side of the transverse segment of the plate. Buttress pins have specially formed collars to be secured to the distal radial plate via a “snap-lock.
